Oh my goodness, what an adorable gem!!! I spotted this place on the drive up to Red River Gorge,…read moreand am so delighted I stopped for a bite to eat. There is a big selection of drinks (frappes, hot chocolates, coffee) -- and my frozen mocha was wonderful. There have a huge assortment of gourmet chocolate bars, pastries, and cakes. YUM. Truly, so good, and not like anywhere else around for miles. It's a perfect spot to get together with friends or family. There's a play area for little toddlers, a huge back deck with brand-new furniture and plenty of well-shaded tables. The back yard would be a great event venue. Thanks, hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We normally visit the Red River Gorge about once a month to climb…read more Because it was our anniversary we decided to try something a bit romantic (a bed and shower lol). We saw a flyer for the Inn posted on a board near a spot where we climb and decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The couple who own the Inn, Mai and Dustin, are very sweet, talented and welcoming. They've worked hard to create a beautiful space out of what looks like an old motel. The rooms were designed by Mai and are modern and spacious. I'm guessing the room used to be 2 motel rooms made into one suite. We stayed in the Paris room. It's quite large with a separate sitting area (where we put our gear), and a huge bathroom. The wood floors were convenient for when we came in dirty and didn't have to worry about keeping carpet clean. Also, there is a large screen tv with Roku and Sling TV so you can just click an app, put in your own password and watch what you want. The bed was comfortable and we took advantage of the jetted tub every night which felt amazing on tired feet. They also have organic soaps made by a local person that were wonderfully pleasant. And the room has a strong WiFi signal. When we arrived, Dustin and Mai greeted us with small chocolate candies. They were delicious. They live next to the Inn and are very attentive. In anticipation of breakfast, I told them about my food restrictions which they easily accommodated. Mai made the breakfasts, which were well done and generally were an egg dish, fresh fruit or yogurt with fruit, a pastry of your choice and a drink from the menu. We ate outside on the back deck (we could have also taken our food to our room) and sometimes chatted with other guests and customers. Everyone was friendly but not overly invasive. We also learned more about what Dustin and Mai have planned for the future for the Inn and it sounds very exciting. They're a lovely couple with great vision and the effort they put into their Inn shows. Oh one other thing... we casually mentioned on our second day that we were celebrating our anniversary. That evening Dustin and Mai unexpectedly popped by our room with the most delicious mousse cake. Such a sweet surprise! We had just eaten and thought we couldn't stomach anything else, but when we took our first bite we couldn't stop ourselves from devouring it. Seriously delicious!!

When we rolled in close to midnight, we were greeted by Arthur who was the friendliest and most helpful hotel employee we've come across in a very long time. Check in took less than a minute and we were in our sparkling clean room another minute later. The bed was so comfortable. In the morning, another smiling face greeted us warmly in the lobby. (Sorry, I forgot to ask her name!) The included breakfast was well above average and also super clean. Jennifer kept things stocked, never stopped cleaning, answered questions, and was yet another positive and friendly staff member. I don't know who hires the employees here, but they have a real knack for finding gems! Overall, this experience far exceeded expectations. We will be returning whenever our travels find us in the area!

The bad part and really only reason it's 4 stars vs 5 is that my booking.com app wasn't working properly and had the hotel at $128 for the night before taxes. Since I couldn't get it to work (i recently upgraded my phone and suspect that's the reason), i asked the receptionist if he could match the price or do anything for me to get closer to it. He said he can't give any discounts and the rate is $199. That's crazy to me. I was checking in at midnight. I also signed up for Igh rewards but they said since i didn't sign up prior to my stay i can't get credit for the stay. Silly really, when you're trying to promote a rewards program but refuse to give the reward.

We appreciated the hotel providing the first floor for my disabled wife. We did NOT appreciate the 7am construction RIGHT outside our window and RIGHT in the blocked EV charging lot. I chose this hotel and paid extra specifically because there was an EV charger. This place only has two, and blocking one is not cool. Starting construction outside my room while I have a disability that doesn't handle that isn't cool (that's not cool at ANY hotel). The digger was also perilously close to my car. A minor complaint - there were supposed to be two water bottle in our room. There weren't. The room was SIXTY degrees. I have brand loyalty to a fault. Once you piss me off, I have no reason to trust you again. You pissed me off. And at twice the price. Oh Hampton Inn...I remember paying extra for you twenty years ago and feeling good about it. Not ever. Not ever again. I can't say this forcefully enough. I stay in a lot of hotels, and I like to support companies that do well. You have left this support. While I appreciate accommodating my wife's disability by putting us in the first floor, my own disability (and probably every other human) can't tolerate construction sounds at 7am just outside their windows. I'm embarrassed for this hotel. Gross. My family and I will use our money more selectively in the future.
