I was getting propane for my Motorhome-RV, and was having issues filling the tank, because my tank system is faulty, Michelle patiently filled my tank, with fuel, which took her a long time. The store has great basic supplies, a lil Food grill, and ice, plus the campground is pretty and has a pool. They also have mini cabins and motorhomes, they rent. I would greatly recommend, especially if Michelle is there.

We stayed here because it was close to where we were visiting. We had site #4, 75 ft long, plenty of room for 3 cars to park behind the rig. But don't get too excited. The site has quite a slope to it. We had to use 4 blocks under the rear jacks. No cable TV, just air TV. Free Wi-Fi is advertised, but it absolutely does not work with so many people trying to log on. We walked around to check out amenities. The basketball court is nonexistent - no basketball hoops, the painted lines for the court are faded and the cracks on the court are full of weeds. Forget beach volleyball - there's no net and no sand - just dirt and weeds. How can they advertise all these amenities when they don't exist? Roads not maintained - full of ruts and very uneven. The swimming pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. It is open to the public at $10 per person. So, there could be a lot of bodies in the pool on those hot summer days. Lots of full-time people with junkie looking set ups. Did not feel particularly comfortable walking through the park for my exercise. We brought our bag of trash to the dumpsters. OMG, what a mess. Either get more dumpsters or call for an extra pick-up. The dumpsters were over-flowing with garbage bags. We won't stay here again and will tell our other RV friends not to either.

Extended our stay with no problems even over a major holiday weekend they went out of their way to adjust for us to stay a few extra days. This park has a lot of long term campers, mostly in the back half of the park around the lake/pond, and up in the tree line. Our site, upfront just off the entry was a short walk to the pool with a nice shade tree. Mostly level packed dirt and gravel, had to use a couple blocks and manually adjust everything a little but it worked. 50 amp FHU in the back right corner with the utility connections fairly close to each other, and worked as they should. The front area appears to be where those staying short term set camp. We had folks around us just overnight on a couple nights. The other rigs were at least a couple spaces away that stayed more than a couple days. The park, at least where we were, was peaceful, clean and comfortable. During the week day very quiet and relaxed. We used the pool a few times, in the evenings and early mornings it was well maintained, clean and hardly used. The check in office/camp store/laundry is in the A frame by the pool as you enter the park. Its dated, but clean and serves its purpose. The park has RV, cabin and tent sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring and various types of hook ups. An older park, better than a lot, not as good as some 3.5 Stars - rounded up for the kind helpful staff 01244

Our last stay was fantastic but I'm sorry to say there were a few setback. 1 Ants, Ants and more Ants!! I don't know if it's just the season but it was nearly impossible to sit outside. 2. Diesel trucks with bone rattling exhaust systems. I know we're parked by the main road, but I thought there was quiet time here. These things were going by all night long doesn't make for a good sleep. Maybe getting a site in a different area is the way to go. Not going to be a fun drive today.

We were surprised how nice the cabin was. The Park is easy to get to and the park is very nice. It is right off of the highway. The folks who run this place is very nice. It was a little more than we were looking to spend but the stop was convenient. We arrived after hours and our reservation information was available at the office. We were not provided with a receipt by email or paper, so I was a little disappointed by that. I always receive a receipt in some form when staying at a campground. Other than that, the grounds appeared to be well kept. The sites weren't too close together. Unfortunately I did have a hard time sleeping. In the middle of the night, people were grouped up and speaking very loudly directly behind our camper. I never had that happen before. Their conversation was very loud and kept waking me up. We left really early in the morning the next day so we weren't able to explore much more than that. It was a nice stop though.

Thankfully we only stayed one night…read more Let's talk about the good first. Checking in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. All of the facilities were very clean including the beautiful pool. Unfortunately there are two main reasons we would not stay again. The first is that the septic inlet was at the very end of the spot. (Site 3 specifically but also other sites nearby). We needed to park at the end of the "driveway" which was less than ideal with the unlevel gravel surface. Thankfully we had long hoses but otherwise we would've been *sol*. The second is the train. Wow did it sound like it was right outside of the campground. Between 10 pm and 6 am we were woken up at least 2, probably 3, times by the train. Although I love KOAs, I would not return.

The drive through campsites are pretty decent, clean and well maintained. The sewer connection is a bit on the high side, so flushing the black and grey tanks takes a bit of effort. I do like the fact that the connection is a bit high to keep some water in the connection preventing pests and gasses from coming back through the line and into the RV. The common areas appear to also be clean and well maintained. The pool was not open - but it's not like one needs to go swimming during a downpour. Kids play areas looked good, and the campground has a nice half court basketball set up near the bath house. Friendly and accommodating staff. With all that said, there were some not so great things about the place. The nearby train tracks running trains blowing their horns all night - not a good way to get a good night's sleep. The wood bundles are very light compared other KOA's and local stores. If it rains, the wood that's for sale gets wet and does not burn well. The Bathrooms are hit and miss - sometimes clean, most of the time not so much. Okay, I get it, the public uses them and people can be slobs and gross. The store does not seem to stock much in the way of perishable foods like meats/eggs/bacon. I get they would charge more than a local store but it would make sense to have it available for the convenience.
