I've had to buy two bridesmaids dresses here -- both times, I was less than impressed with this place. Unfortunately, they were my only option. The dress was picked and rather than drive all the way to San Jose, I came here. The owner was nice enough, but always in a hurry to get rid of you. Each time I've come here, I never know what door to enter... upstairs? downstairs? Pick a door and stick with it. The store is clean enough and I was able to get in and out quickly. The last bridesmaids dress I got there a few months ago, when it came in I knew it would probably need alterations. Unfortunately for me, she declared it a perfect fit, in a big hurry and the dress was so tight I was miserable all night and had a blister in one side where the boning in the dress dug into me. So annoying. I hope I don't have to get another dress here... I think next time I might just drive to San Jose. Not worth the price. read more

We had a frustrating experience. There were too many doors, and it was not clear where we were supposed to go. When we made eye contact with an employee, she directed us to another door in a rude manner. She asked if we had seen the signs, but her tone was not friendly or helpful. After finding the correct door, we were told that an appointment was required. This information could have been communicated more clearly from the beginning. Overall, the customer service was disappointing, and a more professional and courteous approach would have made the experience much better. read more

I ended up buying a dress here as I was very close to my wedding. The owner was very rude to my friends, co-workers and myself. My boss even sent her an e-mail because she was so shocked by the rudeness we experienced. I scheduled a tailoring session and a week before my wedding, the owner cancelled the appointment without letting me know! Even though I called ahead an made an appointment to come in and try on a bridesmaid dress, the owner was finishing up her lunch and made me wait downstairs on a bench until she was done with her meal. I waited ten minutes past my appointment time. I should have just left then. When she finally decided to help me, she was extremely short, rude, and pushy. My mom, who accompanied me on the visit, normally gives everyone she meets the benefit of the doubt, said she couldn't believe how horrible the lady was and made sure I wasn't going to buy anything from her. I have no idea how this place is in business. Avoid at all costs! I went to Bride n' Formal in Monterey. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was a potential buyer but after the phone interactions with one of the employees, they lost my business indefinitely. I was called three times after I left a voicemail, the calls was the employee asking who I was which was odd since I called a business. Anyways, I provided my name & the reason for my call during the first call back. 2nd & 3rd call back was the same questions (which I didn't provide information) as it was redundant. When I was a little girl, my parents would drive down W. Alisal St. on a daily basis. I sat in the backseat and prayed they would slow down by the bridal shop so I could see the details on the window dresses. I remember saying, "When I get married, I'm going there for my dress." I'm 25 and engaged now, and the first place I went to look at dresses was Campus Bridal. The memories and feelings from my childhood flushed in when I walked into the shop. My friend and I walked to the counter to meet Theresa. She was busy and multitasking with 3 customers, so she came off rude. She asked me what designer I wanted to go with, honestly, I had no clue of any wedding gown designers, so I admitted I didn't know of any. She requested we look at her website for the designers she carried so she could further assist us. I asked her to take a look at gowns I was interested in from magazine cut outs, perhaps she had something similar... with a hurry she pointed at all three pictures and said, "No, no, no. I don't have any of those dresses because I don't carry that designers gowns." Unfortunately, Theresa and her lack of customer service, made my shopping experience for a wedding gown very unpleasant. I walked inside with my 3 children, as soon as we walked in the Lady says to my kids you can sit outside on the bench we have a bench outside for guests. Uh, first of all How rude!, second my kids came with me and are well behaved. She immediately assumed that they were going to destroy her shop. So if that weren't enough, I brushed that off and I asked her where we're her dresses? she asked if I had a budget?, I said yes. I told her I was starting to look for my wedding dress for next year. She immediately tried to point me to the Mother of the Bride or bridesmaid dresses. I told her no, my wedding is going to be semi-formal to formal and I want a gown. I pulled 4 dresses that I wanted to try, she put two in the room, and told me that they would be too big but to hold them by the waist to get an idea... Just look at all the negative reviews! Not a single positive review. Not one! I wish I had checked this out first. This woman is horrible to her customers. My friend went looking for a wedding dress and came home in tears. She had not read the reviews here first and wish she had. She'd been having trouble finding a dress that looked good on her (she is not a size 4), and the owner wouldn't give her the time of day. All she said was that she couldn't help her. Didn't even try! Didn't even look! As though my friend were so ugly that she already knew there was nothing in the store that could possibly look good on her. I never imagined that there was a person out there who could be so mean to a lady looking to make her wedding a happy occasion. There ARE other places to go for a wedding, bridesmaids, or Quinceañera dresses. You don't have to drive to San Jose. There is Ema's on Main and there is Bella's Bridal at the mall and there is A Touch of Elegance in Watsonville. You do NOT have to be limited to suffering at a store where the owner is so horrible to her customers. Even if it is close to your wedding, these other places might have a good dress you can get off the rack and have fitted to you. There is no reason whatsoever anyone ever has to feel that Campus Bridal is their only option. read more

I can't say enough positive things about this place! First off, in 2018 I was looking for the perfect dress for my wedding. I had looked at numerous places to purchase and could not find "the one". When I walked into Campus Bridal I didn't have an appointment, but I was greeted with a smiling face and happy personality asking what I was looking for. After browsing the showroom and the help of staff I found my perfect dress! My alterations were also done here and they did a fantastic job, might I add, they were fast with doing so. I had the perfect dress for my wedding and a wonderful experience finding it with lots of laughter and even happy tears. I highly recommend that if you are looking for your wedding dress or any formal gowns stop in or make an appointment at Campus Bridal. You are bound to find something you love. read more

i gave two stars for their veil selection. I bought my veil here and was a good price and large variety. BUUTTTTTTT...the costumer service was poor. like all of the reviews say she is not pleasant to work with. her bridal gowns are completely outdated. some of them look like they could be from the 80s. she has two levels but dont let that fool you. i looked through the collection of dresses in about 2 minutes. she has a some bridesmaid dresses but she was so unpleasant to work with and its crazy that she has been there for so long. if you walk in looking for dresses and want to try some on, she will freak out. she scolded us for not making an appointment when we were looking for bridesmaid dresses. dont waste you time!! read more

Well where to start. So the older woman who I am assuming is the owner is weird. Like I don't know if she is rude or just forgetful or what the problem is. My bff told me to go here to get my bridesmaid dress for her wedding. There was a big thing where the dresses we ordered from they went bankrupt and we had to order new ones from this woman in a time crunch. So she sold us dresses she keeps for fittings and rentals. I was not informed of this and paid nearly $300 for a dress that other women had used. The tiger bridesmaids knew however and tried to get her to lower her price and she wouldn't. Even though we all paid full retail for used dresses. Then one day I went in to order the dress and she acted like she had no idea who the bridal party was and gave me a hard time about it. But then a week later she asked me who the bridal party was again and knew exactly who it was. And the third time I went in for my fitting she acted like she didn't know who the bride was again and then said she couldn't do my fitting she only did them on Saturday's and that I should have known that. It was just the worst experience and not only that I am getting married in about 6 months and still need a dress. If she hadn't been so rude/weird I would've went here. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. I'd go to David's bridal over this place. Look elsewhere. She may sell you a used wedding dress for full retail price. read more

I decided to give this place a shot because it looked nice from the outside. While walking in with my best friend, the lady greeted us but it looked like we interrupted her lunch. I apologized and asked if they had the slip for underneath my wedding dress. I was trying to save myself the drive to san Jose. She told me to meet her upstairs she would be right up. She brought me the slip ($100) I told her I was a size 14 so she brought me a 15. I needed about maybe 1 inche for it to zip up. When I showed her she said, "Oh wow you need a lot! Maybe a size 18! NO NO maybe a size 20!" My BFF looked at me and said, "You are NOT a size 20!" I felt so humiliated! When I was taking it off she kept rushing me. "Are you done yet?" "Oh if you decide to order the size 20 because its so much more material its going to cost a lot more" I left without buying anything! She was so rude and pushy! If I could give this place a BIG FAT ZERO I would! I got married a year ago and bought my beautiful Maggie Sottero dress here... the customer service was crappy!!!! But because it was the only bridal shop I knew of that carried that dress I still bought it here... let me start with the sign that is at the entrance on their display case it read "no strollers" I have 3 children so we left the stroller outside. At the moment i thought ok its fine its a small shop so i understand. Well now im back here with my niece looking for a quinceanera dress and bring my children along... to my surprise the sign now reads "no strollers, children must be seated outside" WTF!!!?????!!!!! Luckily my children no longer need strollers but now they couldnt even go inside the store. My first thought is that this lady doesn't have any children to bring joy to her life... she doesnt have anybody else here but us and she is still rushed and busy... her customer service sucks! She doesn't interact with the customers she just handed my niece a stack of magazines to look at and told her to go through those and then she'd hand her another stack... really? Rude, rude, rude. Like the previous post, their are many doors and one sign which directs you to go upstairs to "Campus Bridal". I walk up the stairs and the door is locked and lights off. I thought it was odd they were closed on a Friday. I walk back downstairs and see a tux in the entryway and walk in to find a lady at the counter. I asked if the bridal section is closed and she said no, very rudely with a smirk on her face. That's it, all I got was a no. She had nothing else to say. Almost as if she didn't want or need my business. I almost walked out, but decided to ask about the hours etc. She said I needed an appt and couldn't believe I had my child with me and suggested I leave her at home next time. I have a wedding coming up quick and I called to make an appointment ASAP. The woman on the phone told me to come in that very morning and she would skip lunch to help me! She was very helpful with sizing and suggested I didn't pay more to rush the order because she thought it would make it in time. She called her alterations lady and she said she would hem it same day in a matter of hours if I needed! She ordered the dress and it came in early. I went in to have it fitted and they were so sweet and patient with me as I changed my mind multiple times on how long I wanted the dress! The price for hemming the dress was MORE than reasonable. I recently was quoted 250$ for a very similar dress at a place in Monterey and she did my dress for $69 VERY quickly! I have had nothing but a positive and professional experience here and would highly recommend shopping here! read more

Fist of all this store has really nice dresses, both bidesmaid and bridal BUT they're really expensive and overpriced, especially for bridesmaids dresses. One bridemaid we found and liked was $225 but it was not worth that much. She didn't have the wedding gown I wanted in my size so she said i had to order it if I wanted to try it on and that doesn't work for me because I'm not going to pay for a dress I haven't tried on. She only had dresses in one size, who carries dresses in one size? Secondly, and most importantly this lady (Theresa) was RUDE!!! My cousin was trying on bridesmaid dresses for my mom and I, and she told us very rudely to share the counter space as if were taking up all this room, we were the only one's in there. She didn't make the experience of trying on dresses pleasant at all! she made us feel like we were always in someone's way. She told my step daughter to go sit down but she was only looking at dresses. She told my bridesmaid to lift her dress as she walked because she was going to sell it, even through all the dresses said SAMPLE, NOT FOR RESALE. It would have been fine if she was polite when she said these things but she was not. I wouldn't give my money to that lady! Absolutely the WORST bridal shop I have ever been to! When calling to find out if she carried samples for the brand of bridesmaid dresses I had chosen, her response was "ya, but not very many". So I asked how many she had and she said " I don't know, 2-4"... ok... so then one of my bridesmaids called to see if we needed to make an appointment... she implied that we did not need an appointment and acted if she was stupid for asking. So this morning two of my bridesmaids and I went to see the "2-4" dresses that they had... better option than driving to San Jose just to try the dresses on. The lady behind the counter was even RUDER than she was when I spoke to her on the phone! Her first question was "Do you have an appointment??" ummmm... NO you told us we didn't need one. So I tell her that we would like to see the Alfred Sung dresses and she proceeds to tell me she only has like 2.. which I already knew... So she grabs 2 dresses off of the rack and gives them to my girls. So as they were trying on the two dresses, I look through the rack and proceed to find almost 10 Alfred Sung dresses??? Was she going to tell us that she really did have more than 2??? So I start grabbing them for my girls to try on... then she shouts over that "you can only have 2 dresses in the fitting room at a time"... I think she was just mad that they were trying on more dresses... she offered to help us when she was finished with another customer, but she never did help us! She had a HORRIBLE attitude and ZERO customer service skills! How this woman gets any business is a mystery! Don't waste your time or money here!!!!! read more
