Has a 24 hour gym that consists of 3 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 2 bikes, and free weights. I would imagine this place gets packed due to the amount of gym equipment. Decent size outdoor pool, sand volleyball court is a definite plus. It's a gated community so you must have a gate key to enter. All visiter parking is in front of the leasing office. Bedrooms are for miniature people. The bedrooms come furnished which is a plus but if you're over 6 ft tall, the bed they supply you with is a bit small so your feet will hang. Bathroom sink is a bit small too. Another thing is the shower takes forever to get hot water running. I think I waited a good two minutes before I felt some warmth in the water. The water bill is already included in the rent so you don't worry about wasting water but it is time consuming. The kitchen is fairly decent. One thing to take into consideration is the smoke alarm that consistently goes off every time you cook. It is a pain to wait for it to turn off and you have to open the door and windows to get all the smoke out which is nothing but mediocre smoke. Me and donkey were looking for a new castle to stay at ever since Fiona and I have hit a rough patch. She kicked me outta me swamp. The place is not ideally spacious but it's a good place to start. The inspector always gets on my back for the onion smell in the apartment but that's only because the eyeball soup I'm making in the toilet is simmering. There's mold on the ceiling mostly because of the soup so I'll take the hit there. The walls are too thin. I can clearly hear lord Farquaad talking on the phone to a crying Fiona. Donkey can't fit Dragon in the room because it's too small so she has to go through the automatic gate. Villagers can just come right through the gate unannounced without a room here and come to kill me. All and all not a bad place to live if you're an Ogar. read more

I've lived here for going on a year, i renewed my lease before getting a good feel around and regret it. The gym is probably the best part, i'm on first floor and can tell you no matter how many times they say they will fine pet owners for not picking up after their pets, they won't. Every time we sit on our patio we have the luxury of the smell and sight of piles of animal feces sometimes even on the sidewalk, along with trash. maintenance does everything in a timely manner which is a plus, but if it has anything to do with previous owners don't even bother complaining, i was told my carpet was replaced before i moved in which would not have been true since my roommates never recall seeing maintenance carrying in or out any carpet, the smell was the reason i complained to which they were going to charge me for it to either be cleaned or for a pet seal, even though i had no pets when i moved in. the pool is nice when it's clean which i can say has been more often. the gates stay open for weeks or months at a time, and the gap in the fence from a drunk driver from months ago has yet to be fixed, as well as the locks on the clubhouse no longer working and all doors that once required a magnet to open are now just ziptied to remain open. My first night here my car was broken into and the front office couldn't do anything due to the fact they have no cameras on the buildings, the officer that came to take my report had said they get called out here a lot and already are aware of their lack of security. They said they have a night security but i only ever saw their car here a few time. The staff is friendly to an extent, but overall there are better places to rent for the prices you end up paying here. read your whole lease as well so you're not shocked when you pay an extra $100 on utilities at the end of your leasing period! read more

Terrible place to live! Extremely inconvenient. If you are in the world force and not a college student DO NOT MOVE HERE! They do not care about inconveniencing you. You are not a priority here. They are short staffed on the maintenance side so if something goes down you are looking at about a week minimum to get it fixed. And when they do finally fix it it's like they treat it as a favor. Have to leave at least one star to submit that's the only reason they are getting that. So our experience with this group has not been good. Recently my daughter finally got tired of the bugs, loud neighbors, trash in the breezeways, her bike was stolen, and the list goes on. We moved out. Oh and let me just add that when we moved in the apartment was not freshly painted nor was it clean. And not just a little unclean it was nasty. The carpet was so bad we rented a steam cleaner to clean it. It had apparently never been vacuumed by the previous resident or even before that. The bathroom had vomit behind the commode. I understand that it's a college apartment but it was unacceptable. When we moved out we cleaned and made sure it was in excellent condition when we left. Imagine my surprise when several months later we receive a notice from a collection agency about 2 bills we have for this place. No letters from Campus Quarters had come before this. If they had I certainly would have addressed them. I even contacted them as soon as I received the first notice from the collection agency and tried to pay. So, we now owe for a cleaning fee and a painting fee. So beware that when you move out they are going to charge you for what they should be doing as their job before you move in. Don't put your kids here it's pretty and shiny when you look at it but it quickly shows its cracks in management issues, bugs, and trash. .... One lovely example...The neighbors across the hall left trash on the stairs when they moved out. We are talking about rotten refrigerator items that burst open from a trash bag. It stayed in the stairwell until it rotted away. Oh, and it's not secure at all. Don't let those security gates fool ya. If they don't have an access clicker they just wait till someone enters and tailgate you. Usually, there are several waiting by the gates. And yes we complained to no avail that's why we ended up moving. I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case, I had no other choice. read more

I enjoy living at Campus Quarters, they provide so many perks to their residents like free food, prizes, and free coffee/tea (when the office is open). They even had a good Thanksgiving feast for residents last month and a free concert with inflatables out in the parking lot. It's nice for college students, like me. read more

Campus Quarters provides many amenities that Ive used multiple times, computers, printers, tanning bed, game room and the pool of course, plus many more. The staff is very involved in the community. I have seen them on campus, food truck festivals and during busy seasons like spring break. The complex also does free give aways, like taco day, breakfast on the go, crawfish broil, pumpkin painting and many other activities/celebrations. I have lived here while going to school and I have to say I have some regrets. Overall looks nice from the outside, but within, there are a great variety of problems. While the perimeter is fenced, the entry gates are often forced open by impatient visitors or solicitors that leave flyers all over tenant cars. Management refuses to upgrade the gates to something more tamper resistant and just keeps the old, worn out gate mechanism. When the gates are locked open sometimes I'll see transients wandering the grounds. The office staff is pushy and secretive when it comes to contract signing; I only chose to live here at the time due to necessity. They won't let you see the actual unit you'll be moving into and will instead show you a dressed-up display model that is nothing like the actual unit. I once knocked on the door of the front office during regular hours several times because it was locked. When peeking inside through the window, there was a staff member in an office almost out of view clearly ignoring me and watching videos on the computer. How professional. The gym and pool are excellent for an apartment complex...when they are available. Recently due to the pandemic, management opted to wholesale close the entire common space, denying tenants access to the gym, pool, computers, and free printing services. Prior to this I used these amenities frequently and now have to suffer the inconvenience of finding other ways to get in a workout or a paper printed. What's more, is that upon my own investigation, some other apartment complexes in the area were more considerate and instead chose to use stricter cleaning measures while keeping their amenities available. I suggested this to staff, and while they seemed to be receptive, they have not taken any action. To top it all off, these amenities are STILL advertised as being available on their website about two months since closing, and rent has not been decreased despite the loss of access. The maintenance and groundskeeping personnel are quick and efficient, well-mannered people, and are perhaps the only saving grace of this place. However, the apartment complex is older and seems to have been remodeled several times. Old security systems whose passwords and instruction manuals have long since been misplaced still adorn the walls near the front doors of the units, so good luck turning it off if you accidentally activate it. The smoke alarms are extremely sensitive and annoying, and sometimes go off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. People with dogs allow them to defecate everywhere and no pickup bags are made available like other apartment complexes. For the amount of problems maintenance has to deal with, they are probably not paid enough. My experience with this place is quite negative. I would probably have left another star if they didn't close the common space, but it was the amenities that initially drew my attention to this apartment. Luckily I'll be leaving this hellhole soon and one day hope to be able to get the ringing of smoke alarms out of my head. read more

Ok again, DO NOT move here!!! All TAMUCC STUDENTS & PARENTS !! So many problems but the worst right now is the inspections. I discretely asked if there would be room inspections at all during the lease because I used to live in the dorms on campus. They said NO. however I have had a thousand emails (receipts from my whole lease period of the office informing residents that they are entering the unit with office people at least twice a week. No one wants some strangers walking in once/twice a week for bs inspections. Some times I would be sleeping or once at the beginning I was in the shower and heard a grown men's voice in my kitchen. Not safe for any young student. I've wanted out since the first week and I can't stress enough to future islanders to never live here. DO NOT LIVE HERE- I repeat... DO NOT live here. The staff doesn't give a hoot about the residents- all they care about is MONEY. Also- there is NO TERMINATION ALLOWED. It doesn't matter what your circumstance is, or what happened to you- if you try to get out of this lease- the office will tell you "too bad, you're still responsible". Every other place I have EVER lived- allows termination fees. This place DOES NOT. So if something happens to you where you need to move or you will not be financially applicable to pay the rent- "too bad" you'll still have to pay the rest of your rents due. They will find a way to charge you for ANYTHING. For me, Rent is about 650$. However- I pay a whopping 770$ a month for added fees that DO NOT APPLY TO ME. This place is a complete waste of money, and you can DEFINITELY find a better, higher quality place to live that's the same exact price. Edit: UPDATE- this place is STILL TRASH!!!! Maintenance and Office employees walk in UNANNOUNCED, no email, no fair warning, no nothing. They do not have the right to walk into MY SPACE that I PAY FOR without giving me a notice!! When I was looking at the reviews before I signed my lease I completely ignored them because I wanted to live at campus quarters really bad which ended up being the worst decision of my life. Whatever your rent is, plan on adding at least an extra $100 a month. They charge you for going over your utility maximum (which you will go over if you have a light on longer than 10 minutes). My roommates and I have noticed that every time the front gate breaks (aka once a week) every person gets charged extra. The management will not get back to you if you need them, the maintenance men will not come fix anything, AND THE APARTMENT COMPLEX'S ARE FILLED WITH MOLD. WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAN THAT? So, if you do not want to be broke every month, if you do not want to be exposed to mold, if you do not want to see the cops and ambulances every other day, then I suggest you do not live at campus quarters. read more

I feel very unsafe living here. If you are a student looking for a college cheap living apartments I'd highly recommend Miramar apartments on campus or Momentum. Campus Quarters is student run and the students don't even know they have a hot tub right outside their offices. I asked if it was working finally and one of the ladies looked at me in the eye and said "ma'am we don't have a hot tub" but that is not why I feel unsafe from the lack of higher knowledge and management around these apartments (Kristi is sister apartments so they might be the same but not sure) I feel u safe due to maintenance walking in at least once a week to the students apartments. Most times there is no knock let alone an email or some sort of communication going on at all. They do not knock and just walk in the apartments and personal living area of teenage girls. CC PARENTS BEWARE. I'm highly discouraged by this and by efforts going to the office to ask them to just send me an email, communicate, if you can't at least communicate like the adults we all are then simply...knock, common curtesy. And if someone doesn't answer... then come back another time, people have no idea what's going on in others lives. I feel at any time during the day I can't get fully comfortable in my own apartment because fearful of unknown men walking into my apartment. Very unacceptable. One maintenance guy walked in and I rushed to put clothes on before he already got passed the living room and kitchen making his way to my bedroom. He saw my cat I was holding to keep him from running out and immediately reached over and started petting him. Every encounter I have with campus Quarters is horrible. I have been here for one month and already looking for new apartments. I will be sure to let all new TAMUCC students and current which are the safest for kids away from home. Shame on this management and I hope more improvements move in. read more

Let me start by saying if I could I would give this place 0 stars. Please take the time to read the entire post before you waste a year of your time and money at this place. I agree with the above ratings about theft. My car was also broken into. Its sad when management has to tell students to "bring all belongings home" during Spring Break. This is because people would literally break into homes (locked or unlocked) and begin to steal. Also, this place is not "safe". I have NEVER seen a courtesy officer. The gates are always open because people keep braking them. The fees are outrageous. I pay $755 to share a 2 bedroom apartment. That's $1510 a month for rent for 2 people!! I was also charged a $100 pet fee because the manager "heard" a dog. He barged into my apartment (with his keys, unannounced and without my permission). Upon entrance he stated that he was doing "random checks for broken appliances". I personally watched him search all of the rooms. He went in my bathroom, my room, looked in closets and did not physically see a dog yet I still had to pay the fee. "The $30 "electricity cap" per person is bogus. EVERY month my roommate and I would go over for electricity. It became so bad that we would leave the A/C off at all times. Electricity for us was a luxury essentially because we were annoyed with paying ridiculous overage fees. Honestly, it would be best to put your son/daughter in an apartment. Don't be fooled by the model apartment they show you because the 2 and 3 bedroom look nothing like that floor plan. You think you are getting a good deal because its furnished but its not a good deal at all. I guarantee you that the furniture in these apartments are worth less than $500. The bedroom comes with a full size bed, 1 dresser, and one desk with chair. The living room has 2 couches (an individual and a larger couch). The kitchen is probably the nicest thing about these apartments. It is spacious and modern, however be aware EVERY time you use the stove the alarms will go off. The water pressure in the bathrooms are also extremely low. If you do not mind your son/daughter constantly being hassled with fees and theft then Campus Quarters is the best place for you. If not, bite the bullet and look elsewhere for the safety of your child and money. read more

Terrible place! Management is very rude. Random people walk into my apartment all the time, without a notice. They dont have a set rules of policies, and they charge you for random things. Utilities are included, but they charge you extra every month if you go over "their limit". Expect monthly additional charger of $50 + for utilities even if you barely use any. Late rent fee is $100. They dont warn you or give you a notice when your rent is due. They just charge you $100 late fee if you are 2 days late. This place is also very dangerous. Multiple gun shootings. One of it ended with fatality. They dont provide any maintenance of the apartments. If something breaks, usually takes at least a week to acknowledge your situation, and then another week to send maintenance person to the apartment. read more

Tracey, My daughter moved in on August 19th, 2017. The apartment was dirty, and thats an understatement. We were very disappointed to say the least. Between the two of us we spent four hours cleaning and spraying everything with Lysol. Here is a list of issues: dirty kitchen counter tops, dirty exterior and interior cabinets, mold spores in all bottom kitchen cabinets (which could be a potential health hazard). The cabinet under the kitchen sink smelled moldy and musty....spider webs, all light fixtures had dead bugs in them, stains on living room carpet (which could also be a health hazard if these stains are from animal feces and not properly treated), stains on sofa, debris on kitchen floor, dirty baseboards throughout, stuff laying between refrigerator and cabinet, dishes left in kitchen cabinets, several holes in walls from toggle bolts in master bedroom that should have been spackled. Unfortunately we did not read the apartment reviews (about 80% negative) before signing the lease. If so, it would of raised a red flag for sure. I am attaching photos for you to view and awaiting a quick response from you. Also, there were 5 piles of dog poop in the grassy area at bottom of stairs. I sure hope that you strictly enforce cleaning up after pets in the future. Disgusting. read more

This place is the worst they claim to have security cameras which is not true my daughters car has been keyed another time a row had there tires slashed one roommate left the door unlock and someone broke in and once they realized someone was in the room they walked out leaving the electronics on the middle of the floor, I am appalled that we pay so much and this is what happens read more

I was SO happy to move in here, and then once I moved in I started waking up with bites on my feet and ankles. At first I thought it was mosquitos but turns out they were FLEA BITES. We don't even HAVE a pet, I have no idea how I have fleas in an apartment I JUST moved into. I'm so livid because 1) nobody gives a crap about it when I went to talk to them. 2) They say someone ONLY comes out on Wednesdays, IF they even decide to come to my room that day, so I'd have to wait 4 days to help fix a problem that is getting worse. They just don't want to pay extra money to have someone come out on a day they aren't scheduled. But sorry, this is THEIR problem. I wake up with more and more bites each day and nobody even cares. 3) There is no after hours number to call them when nobody is in the office, and I've had to spend around 40+ dollars of my own money that I cannot afford to even spend at the moment because nobody will help me, so I had to try to help/fix the problem myself the best I can. Honestly, if I wasn't being bitten every night all over I wouldn't be making such a big deal about this. But this is THEIR problem that I moved in with, so they should be obligated to help me since I'm paying them a lot of money every month. My family and I are so mad at you all. read more

Campus Quarters is a very unique and home friendly place! Coming here on a Housing tour truly brought realization that this complex is the perfect place for anyone to live! The staff at the office is extremely friendly and very attentative over the phone and in person, in regards to any questions that were being asked. WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE EVER. they overcharge and charge for things that are definitely not worth what you're receiving. Our apartment was dirty when we arrived and and made it spotless during move out. They have refused to give back our deposit and are saying that my roommate and I made them purchase all new carpeting which is impossible considering they were disgusting the day we moved in to which we had to personally rent a steam cleaner. They also will not tell you what you're getting charged for or why for certain small bills that add up. They also are terrible at communication and the office is ran by students who do not know the importance of working at an apartment complex.
