I can't attest to any claims of equipment servicing as I'm only at the enquire stage but I was suitably impressed with the helpfulness if staff, their product knowledge, for showing no hesitancy recommending other suppliers for comparison or if they didn't carry a product, and I was even offered free inspection of current equipment either in store or at home. Prices seemed normal and I must say their was a calm and professionalism evident every moment I was in the store or calling for information. Defiantly an asset to our local community and those with mobility challenges.

Eventually someone contacted me and told me he was doing some illegal activity. I didn't need to know what was going on inside the company. The only thing that should have been said is he no longer works for the company. Since I ordered so many things from the company I would still contact them to fix things that were purchased from them. Everytime I asked to get something fixed or come to look at something they would charge us. Recently we tried to arrange to get things added to a wheelchair. I was told we would need someone to come out to check it. I paid $160. On the day of the appointment no one showed up. They were also estimating it would cost 2000. I went through a different company that did a minor thing to the chair. I asked how much and never got a bill. If I had gotten I am guessing less then 100. It is expensive when someone is disabled and when a company seems to overcharge or charge for every little thing it makes me not want to deal with that company again. I will no longer deal with this company and will try to find other companies to deal with.

My dad has been extremely uncomfortable for 21/2 months and it has had an adverse effect on his health. We will not be giving anymore business to this company ever. This man asks customers what's in their package when they pick up. He announces our names and addresses loudly, and asks invasive questions about our mailings. Three times, he has come out of the back room literally juggling and squeezing my package, guessing out loud what's in it. When I told him I didn't like it, he got sarcastic, saying, "Sooooo, file a complaint about me." Then he gave an ugly smirk. No recognition he'd done anything wrong. He even comments on womens' appearance. He announces to the line up what payment method we are using, disingenuously making conversation with, "Ooh, is that a MASTER card, or a DEBIT card? I can never remember the circles!" trying to get women to talk to him. He makes inappropriate comments about peoples' names, e.g., "Oooh, isn't that the name of a wiiiiine?" as if he's attempting an awkward pickup in a bar. I have never seen so many people squirm in discomfort. He asks questions about our mail for which the RCMP would need a warrant. He is a legend among people at UVic, and not in a good way. Why Heart is willing to subject customers to this unprofessional behavior, I don't know. Given this, I would certainly not transfer my prescriptions there nor do any shopping. I'm filing a complaint with Canada Post, which certainly will not help the pharmacy overall.

They have been truly been THE best business that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The sales people, very competent and know their stuff. The front desk people, friendly and accommodating. The workers of the devices? Amazing! They are a great group of gentlemen who have a great sense of humor while remaining professional. They know what they're doing and you can see whenever I've needed something done. Any issues at home (for other devices) they've been prompt and courteous and very straightforward. The front wheel on my power chair is busted, i believe the castor is cracked and I've been waiting 2 weeks for the parts.They finally came in yesterday and one of the technicians said he would come in fix it at at noon and he never showed. he didn't even call me to tell me he wasn't coming. it's really frustrating! my power wheelchair is my mobility. I am an amputee and a mom also I conmute to and from esquimalt everyday so its vital that i have it working properly. When i had gotten the power wheel chair I was told that they had a 24/7 emergency number for repairs. One time when i was on the bus my joystick and fallen off and it was just dangling so i had to figure out how to manuveur it off the bus. Island mediquip was closed I had to wait until the next day to get it fixed. fortunately, i got a hold of my landlord and she came to me and repaired it. overall, i think Island mediquip should have better service to their customers.
