I liked the rep who help me select appliance I needed. She was the account rep at the store in Nepean. She did a great job showing me the features and models that I was looking for. She knew the products well and gave me pros and cons to help me decide what was right for me. I did not have to do my own research. Having done many renovations and new builds over the years, I made the mistake this time of using CAS for my kitchen appliance package. I was given a package price of $3796.99 + tax. One item was backordered and I was randomly issued a new invoice with a different replacement item on it. I immediately contacted my sales rep (Kenana Rosen) about this and said that I wasn't interested in the alternate product. They said no problem and reissued what I thought was the original invoice. When the final backordered item I had originally ordered was available I picked it up and paid what I thought was the remaining balance (Sep 09/22). Once I got home I realized that CAS had increased the total package price to $4381.99 + tax, a difference of over $600. I contacted CAS customer service the next day (Sep10/22) to try and sort out what I assumed was a clerical error. I was told my rep would call me back but she didn't. I emailed my rep (Sep12/22) and was told: "Your order was placed back in July, I believe you had plenty of time to review your order. I'm not sure why you are bringing this up after all the item was picked up". And that I could return the item if I wanted - (I live a ferry ride away and this is not practical otherwise I would). So I contacted customer service again and basically was told that it was up to my rep if they wanted to honour the agreement she had made and that she did not. I have all the paperwork showing the original agreement and my next step is small claims court as this is clearly fraud. They are cheaper than other big brands but don't let that be a reason to pick them. You get bounced around from person to person, as soon as they charge you they basically leave you hanging. 2 major complaints, first is I ordered my fridge in March and it was to arrive in June then beginning of June it was changed to November. I had to scramble to find a fridge when I moved from The Brick because they totally messed up the timing. My salesperson Ehab was helpful day one then would avoid my emails until I hounded him 2 or 3 times and he was on vacation for 5 weeks during my delivery timeframe so I had to find someone to help me. He also put a GAS DRYER on my invoice when we never discussed a gas dryer at any point, it should have been an electric dryer. So I had to go pick it up in Laval because they wouldn't ship it for free and wanted me to pay an extra 80 bucks to have it shipped when they messed up. The only saving grace was Karine O who helped me out a lot, got my fridge cancelled and was extremely responsive and helpful. Avoid them at all costs and go to Reno Depot, Home Depot, Rona, The Brick, anyone else. The savings isn't worth the hassle. read more

I drove to their store location, which is about 22kms away from my home (approximately 45 minutes round-trip), only to be told that they don't have the microwave at the store, that it is at their warehouse, which is only open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Before leaving the store, I mentioned to the CAS Sales Representative that it would have been nice to have been told over the phone that the item was not available in store, as it would have avoided an unnecessary trip. I got back home and placed the order online on the CAS website for the LG microwave, paid the required deposit, with a pick up at their warehouse on Monday, August 21, 2023. On Monday, August 21, 2023, around 12pm, I presented myself at the CAS warehouse at 55 Banton St, Ottawa, and paid the remaining balance, and picked-up the microwave. When I got home, I opened the box, plugged in the microwave to make sure everything was working correctly, and to my surprise the microwave started making excessive noises, outside of the norm, and the microwave frame was vibrating. The level of noise coming out of the microwave was clearly abnormal which indicated that the item is defective. Approximately 1 hour after the item was picked up from the CAS warehouse, I called the CAS customer line at 1-877-374-3439, to let them know of the issue with the microwave, and that I wanted to bring the unit back to be replaced, and I was told that I could not return the item to the store/warehouse and that I would have to complete a return/exchange form and that someone would get back to me in 24-48hrs once the warranty department reviews the completed exchange/return form, and they would let me know if the return is approved with instructions to follow (to be approved ??? on a same day purchase of a defective item)....I have never, until now, been to an appliance store that does not take a return of a defective item, on a same day purchase. Any other appliance store in Ottawa would have taken the item back and offered an exchange or refund. Meanwhile, I don't have a microwave, and I have to wait for CAS to review the return request. I have never seen a process like this one, I asked 20 times to speak to a Manager. We (the customers) are unable to speak to a Manager on the phone or in store to find a quick resolution on a same day purchase, is what I was told. I drove back to the store Monday afternoon in an attempt to return the microwave and I was in the store and told by all the sales representatives that there is no store manager, nobody of authority, that they are all left to themselves with nobody checking in on them... I asked how this can be possible, there has to be someone of authority/seniority that opens/closes the store, takes care of the accounting at the end of the day, that is responsible for in-store staff work schedules, etc., that this cannot be true. At the end of the day on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, I received an email from the After Sales Team to let me know that they had put a service call with LG and that LG would be contacting me. I responded to their email right away and asked for a manager to call me as soon as possible and also that I do not want a service call, I want a refund as I am not happy with the customer service provided (after all the ordeal that have put me through these last few days), and I want my money back now in order for me to go purchase a microwave somewhere else. Approximately, 30 minutes later, I received an email that a service call had been place with LG, and that I would hear from LG in 1 to 7 business days and to reach out to LG directly for information with LGs number. I emailed again asking for a manager to call me and that I want a refund, and that there is no other appliance store in the region that works this way, had I purchased this item at a different store like Best Buy, Leons, Walmart, or Corbeil, I could have returned the item in store and received an exchange or refund. CAS sold me a wine fridge that won't hold wine (Silhouette SWC057D1BSS); And then refused to refund or replace the fridge because I attempted to put wine in it. I ordered the Silhouette SWC057D1BSS by phone. The fridge was delivered; the delivery guys unboxed the fridge and took away the packaging. I plugged in the fridge and put a couple dozen bottles in the fridge. I realized quickly that the shelves are not tall enough to open and close while holding many, if not most bottle types. The shelves will work with straight sided Sauv Blanc type bottles, but don't fit rounded Pinot, Chardonnay, sparkling, etc. CAS won't refund my purchase because they deem I've used the fridge by putting wine in the fridge. I had to it wine in the fridge to find out that it doesn't hold wine effectively. Moreover, CAS requested photos of the issue...which of course I could do without putting wine in there for the photo. Effectively, CAS has no return policy. And should be avoided as an online or over the phone retailer. I'll never order another appliance from CAS, and would recommend they be avoided. read more

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE! Their return and exchange policy is the worst!!! Bought a washer and dryer machine from them 2 weeks a go, unfortunately after 1 hour the delivery crew left I noticed two big SCRATCHES AND DENTS ON TOP PANEL. I didn't noticed them on delivery because they had the instruction manual taped over the scratches. weird thing is the manual had no rips or anything. It seems like it was purposely place in that specific spot so that customers don't see it. Once the delivery crew leaves your home, CAS washes their hands and they don't take any responsibility for the damaged items. even if you report it the same day or within 48 hours. They don't care and they just refer you to call the manufacture and get a technician to come fix it. Two days later I noticed the machine was working, not functional at all! I contacted them again and told them the machine not only was scratched and dented but also not working, and they still refused to exchange it or refund the money! It has been more than two weeks now, the technician from samsung came and said the door of the machine might be the problem but he is not really sure it might be something els. In that case they will have keep coming to find the real problem. The technician takes several days to come, then they have to order the piece thats broken, you have to wait for that piece to arrive, then schedule them again etc... the process is long! and CAS does not reimburse for the delays or inconveniences the customers have. THEY SALE YOU DENTED AND SCRATCHED APPLIANCES so that you can claim it to the manufacture that way they don't have to sale dented items for less in their store and lose money. It is probably a common practice. After reading all the reviews this has happen to many others. The store manager doesn't help, or respond any phone calls. After you buy from them if something is wrong YOU ARE LEFT TO FIX IT ON YOUR OWN! I went to the store after all the frustration, the manager asked us to leave yelling and she even pushed my husband because he wanted to record the conversation. I wish you could give zero stars because one star is too high of a rating. We ordered 5 appliances totalling over 16k in March of 2022. The minute you make your payment to them they will NEVER talk to you again in store and make you go through their online complaints. We have been waiting for almost one year since the initial order for the door reversal kit and they have sent the incorrect one now three times. Each time they blame the supplier and will not take ownership. Furthermore, they are charging extra as the price is going up and the shipping has increased but it's not our fault this happened. Also, they assured us it was to be delivered but will NOT deliver this reversal kit which is an entire door so we have to borrow a truck or trailer to get this from the warehouse. We bought a washer and dryer! I am likely more excited than I should be for a new appliance but ours are old and tired. This is a well laid out store with plenty of models and brands on display. Overall it is a great store with good prices. We were introduced to Raj and he really did his best to find us what worked for us and then gave us a really great price. I like this place and will probably be back for future appliance purchases. They do have coffee/hot chocolate/water at the back of the store. And they had almond milk for me! Did I still get a little sales feeling? A little. But overall not bad. This was a much better experience than I have had in the past at other stores. First off the sales associate gave me incorrect info about the appliance and when I emailed him after he asked me how could be expected to know as they sell "thousands of appliances". Also, my fridge was delivered without the screw assembly kit and I have been talking to CAS for the last three weeks to try and get one sent out. Finally I called electrolux again today and was told it will be several more weeks. CAS is doing nothing to help me or give me a quick exchange so that I don't have to have a fridge without handles for two months. They then finally sent me parts but they were the incorrect parts (wrong size) and only sent 2 when clearly there are 3 handles requiring 4 parts each. Now they keep saying I have to deal with electrolux directly and they cannot do an exchange or expedite the parts to me. This company is terrible. I think the only way they could get good reviews is if you're lucky enough to have your appliance delivered intact - but the real test of a company is their customer service when something goes wrong. The sales associate (Ahmed from Scarborough) has not replied to my emails and all I get are generic replies from customer service saying the parts and services department has been contacted and I need to wait to hear. I would purchase these parts elsewhere if I could but they are not available at regular stores or on amazon or parts places. It is maddening. They don't care - I spent over 3K on a fridge a month ago and still don't have the parts to complete its assembly. Do not go here. From now on I will only purchase from Costco or the Bay or a larger department store where they take customer service seriously. Just before this fridge I had ordered one from Costco but it turned out the online measuresments were incorrect - when I called Costco they immediately sent someone to pick it up - no questions asked. But after 3.5 months of my order, today they have delivered my fridge and it was a used, second-hand fridge instead of a brand new one. We ordered a dishwasher from Canadian Appliance Source through sales person Mehar Riyat in September 2021 for local pickup. We were told they were not in stock at the time but there were 15+ on order which would arrive mid to end of October and we could place an order with 25% fully refundable deposit and pay the rest when the product is in stock. We will be notified when the product is in stock for pickup, and full payment can be made at that time. So we put down the deposit as it seemed pretty reasonable. After that the ETA on the order status is being updated to be always 2-4 weeks in the future. After 4 months I emailed sales Mehar Riyat (in January 2022), no reply. In February 2022 I connected to another sales person through live chat. His name is 'Alexander C'. I asked him about the availability of the same model of the dishwasher we ordered. Before knowing we have an existing order he told us if we order now the availability would be 2 to 7 days. After showing him our order with ETA still a month away (yes after 5 months), he said the reason our order is not fulfilled was because we have not made full payment as their product allocation is based on who has made the full payment. As soon as I said this wasn't what we were told when we placed the order, he abruptly closed the chat and left. I sensed something unusal with this company. So I called customer service and requested to speak to a supervisor. After I told the supervisor(not sure if that's a real one) about the extended delay of the order and the inconsistent information I was provided, the supervisor appeared to be not surprised and even urged me to make full payment to get in line and even provided a in-stock date that's in the very near future. At that point I decided to cancel the order and request full refund. Even if they offer me immediate delivery with half price I would not want to take. Not surprised this wasn't easy as they have a policy the order can only be canceled by the original sales person. I made numerous calls/emails/voicemails to Mehar Riyat within a week - total silence. Every time I called customer service he was either not working on that day or too busy. In my last attempt I told the customer service agent I would GET THE POLICE INVOLVED to investigate this as fraud if I do not receive confirmation for cancellation and refund in 2 days. Finally they canceled the order. I considered myself to be the lucky one. At least we have recovered our few hundred dollar deposit after 5 months. In the reviews I have read about dealing with Canadian Appliance Source, people have paid them thousands and got stuck, much worse than we are. Below are some of their policies that's pretty mean. I don't think a normal, reputable, mainstream merchant has anything this these: * An order can only be canceled by the original sales person. * Deposit Amount (25% of order total) is non-refundable * All invoice prices are final. Prices will not be raised or lowered even if our listed price is higher or lower than the date of this invoice (even if your products have not yet been delivered). But I didnt realize that the products are cheaper on these sites because they dont come with all of the required parts!! I.e. the water hose for the washer.. So bad experience to start. Originally, I had planned on not putting a review in however, the sales person emailed me asking for a review ....so here goes! Sales is great, they say yes to everything ....on the service end, that all changes. So I had provided the sales person all the details as well as photos of my current over the range microwave. I had given him the model number as well as the size specifications and said that the new microwave needed to fit in that spot. He informed me that 'all GE profiles are the same specifications' and would fit. I purchased it. At no time did he mention that the item could not be returned. Upon reaching home and unpacking the item, I realized that it wouldn't fit. I called the sales person right away and after I told him that I needed to return it, he said, "Oh I don't know, you have to call this other number". He didn't ask me any questions other that to try to defer me to another department. Long story short, you have to fill out return authorization online, then wait. contacting customer care by phone dosnt help as they say they don't have the authority to allow items to be returned. It took me an entire day to get the item returned. Their process is the most frustrating return process AND they wanted to charge a 25% restocking fee. Ultimately, they gave me all my money back. Here's what I took from the process: always ask about the return policy and don't assume that items could be returned no matter how easy sales makes it seem. It has been 1 year since i ordered the product...every time I check online information on my order, dates are push out by 1 month. I contacted the sales rep and his response was even more classic...CAS can give you money back...that after 1 year...i was in dis belief. ONE STAR First of all, the final contract was markedly inferior to what the salesman originally told me. (Unfortunately for me, I didn't notice fully all of the respects in which that was true before signing on the dotted line, so to speak.) Wenli Fang in Hamilton provided excellent service. She promised to follow up on warrantee information and did so promptly. "AVOID", Customer service does not exist. Phone calls are not returned, transferred to voice mail if i get a human. Emails are not returned. The "install", was a joke..water hooked up backwards. Said it was level rocked and shook, chkd with a level not even close, on top of that the leg lock nuts were not done. On 20 June I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator and Maytag dishwasher. The refrigerator was in stock but not the dishwasher. I was initially told mid-July for delivery. It is now 04 Aug and nothing has changed. The new current delivery date is now mid-August (plus 1 week local delivery time). If I want the in stock refrigerator, I have to pay for an additional delivery fee. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I should not have to chase them for updates. If I could give zero stars I would! They would get a 5/5 for customer disservice. Defective refrigerator delivered on Dec 28th but of course this is a manufacturers issue. One month later and I am still waiting for a new fridge. The manufacturer sent me an email saying they would replace but has not sent an approval to CAS. The manufacturer is refusing to send an approval to CAS and told me that. I shared this information with CAS and was told I had to wait for the approval. So I am stuck in the middle. No one at CAS will talk to you on the phone and every email I am told to keep waiting. When I try to contact the store I cannot reach the actual store but instead get a general call center. I am tired of waiting! I have a family of six and have not had the ability to keep fresh food in my house for one month now. This is totally unacceptable. A good company would exchange the fridge and deal with the manufacturer later. Instead they make the customer suffer. Once they have your money nothing else matters. I will never purchase from this business again. I am not prepared to wait much longer. Absolutely disgusted by the lack of regard for customers. They have no desire to make this right and just continue to blame the manufacturer. I am the one doing all of the work here. The amount of hours I have put into calling and emailing both companies about this issue is ridiculous. Bad customer service. I have received my order without a glitch. But the dishwasher is underwhelming at best. But when contacting client service to ask if there was anything they could do or if they had a satisfaction guaranteed policy, I was simply told, twice over, "There just nothing we can do". Not hello, not goodbye, not even "Let me see with my boss", nothing, zero effort on their part to satisfy me or even be courteous for that matter. Terrible experience. I have purchased over 25K of appliances these past few years. The problem is with the Fridge. We needed new appliances for delivery in Nov 2022, so in Feb 2022, the CAS Sales Rep, Harry Kainth steered us away from GE CAFE to Bosch as he guaranteed they would be available. So we place the order in Feb 2022. Then in October 22 when I go to finalize the date for delivery as the new house closing date is known, the fridge (and dishwasher) are not available till March 2023! So given we were moving in, and I had company for Christmas, I needed to buy another Fridge, a cheaper Whirlpool model so at lease we could live in the house. The fridge was delivered, and after the delivery teamed left, I noticed that it scratched my hardwood floors when I pushed it in. Upon inspection, the bottom of the fridge is damaged, some sharp metal is protruding on the right side beyond the castors, and gouged my floors. I contact CAS to open a claim to replace the damaged fridge and hardwood floors. CAS denies the claim, tells me it is the Delivery Company. I go to the delivery company that CAS selected, and they deny the claim. I go back to CAS, they say it is Whirlpool, open a claim with them. I go to Whirlpool, and the claim is denied. I go back to CAS, they say I am sorry, nothing we can do. My contract is with CAS. It is CAS that should be accountable. The bottom of the fridge is damaged, and it wrecked my floors. I do not have a contract with the delivery company, I do not have a contract with Whirlpool. I have a contract with CAS. No accountability, just pass the buck. So due to the incompetence of CAS, which could not fulfil an order placed in Feb 2021, when I was told by Harry (my sales person) that we should get Bosh to ensure delivery, I had to buy a damaged fridge. And now I have a damaged fridge that I don't need, damaged floors, and still no Bosch fridge. Incredible. Stay away from CAS. Worst customer service, no morality to do the right thing. read more

Having shopped around in Barrie, been ignored in several competitors stores, I will simply offer you good advice. Don't waste your time. Go and see Ben at the Barrie store. Tell him what you're looking for and he will help you. Many stores are advertising good prices but they don't have the items in stock. Total waste of time and false advertising! Ben was aware of competitor's prices and I got a great deal on a washer, dryer and dishwasher. In fact, I was not planning to buy a dishwasher but I knew I was going to need one in the near future and I was able to get a top of the line Bosch for about half the price in other stores. Ben was very knowledgeable and willing to make a deal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and I can absolutely say that I will go back to him if I need appliances in the future. read more

Buyer Beware... Their price matching policy is a joke, they just won't do it. See the purchase and the reply when asked if they would match ... Make sure you do your homework before even looking at this place. Lowes had the same set (Same Part # and all the BS for price matching). They just refused to do it, not 20$ less, but 700$ Less! I ordered a replacement refrigerator for delivery on November 11, 2022. On November 10, 2022 I received 2 email, one of which had a confirmation link that I utilized, as well as a voicemail stating that the refrigerator would be delivered November 11, 2022 between 9am and 1pm. The morning of November 11, 2022 I received an email stating that the refrigerator had, in fact, shipped and that the delivery time window would be 9am to 1pm. After waiting out the time window I called to find out where the refrigerator was as well as why the unit price on the included on the service plan documents was $500 less than the price on my invoice as well as why the service plan maximum was $200 less than the purchase price. I was then informed that the refrigerator had not made it on the truck for an unknown reason and that it was not going to be delivered on November 11th and planned and they would have to get back to me both with regards to the delivery and the protection plan. When they called back I was informed, again, that they would not be delivery the refrigerator, at which point I cancelled the order. I was then told that the cancellation would have to wait until the refrigerator was scanned back into the warehouse. Nobody could tell me where the refrigerator was if it was not in the warehouse, on the truck or at my house. This company is run by complete buffoons and is completely and utterly incompetent in every aspect. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Canadian Appliance Source has no interest in customer satisfaction. Our freezer has not worked since it was delivered. We immediately requested an exchange as we had food spoiling. However, their policy states that if is has been plugged in it is now considered used so they cannot exchange or return? How can you know if it works without plugging it in? Now we are in CAS customer service hell. No one can or is interested in resolving our issue. Instead Asmaa has asked us to wait 6 weeks for someone to see if they can fix it? This company is a joke as are its' so called policies. NEVER AGAIN! read more

showroom without manager sales man is good when meet you to purchase, but to check your item why delay, no body help, sales men working separate, if one work off, nobody even answer your phone. I purchase a refrigerator in December 19, 2018, and sale man after check them stock promised next week, after 2 weeks I called the showroom in Mississauga, somebody answer me first and holding me long time. I called again, and again nobody answer. I visiting the showroom in January 9, 2019, they are very rude. I try to cancel the order. they tell me no cancelation here, I have to go online. I open online system I fill information, I got no cancelation for the item. don't west your money with this company, no customer service. read more

Bad experience overall! The product was delivered malfunctioning and damaged yet CAS does not take any accountability. I bought 6 appliances from CAS. Salesman asked if I wanted to pay $400ish more for install. I said absolutely because I am a single mom moving to a new house. On delivery day, the driver missed the delivery window that they committed to... I was the last job of the night. When they finally arrived, I was notified that the job was just a delivery, not install. 2 of the appliances were delivered damaged. The delivery guys dropped the appliances in the middle of the designated room with all the other cardboard, wrapping, tape, accessories in & on the appliances (ie. handles were left packaged for me to attach). The guys were acting as though I should be thankful that they removed the boxes off the appliances. I had to remove all the packaging, install handles and accessories then arrange for a plumber and a gas appliance professional to hookup my appliances the next day. The delivery slip specifically says not to sign if product is damaged, but trust me, it hasn't made a difference with my issues. The driver took pics of the damage, told me to contact CAS if I have stove issues. When dealing with CAS, as other reviews mention, they have no customer service once the product is on your property. read more

If purchasing one of these stoves in Canada, please contact me first. I have a two-year historical service nightmare that has cost us dearly. These stoves have a long history of defective thermostats. They don't work which is a safety concern. They have no one trained that can service the stoves. We thought they would have the stoves serviced, but after 6 months of trying to find someone to service it, they conformed that they are unable to find anyone qualified to service these stoves. Instead, they decided to send us a replacement stove. The replacement stove had the exact same problem. This is when we found out that this has been an ongoing problem that has not been resolved. To add fuel to the fire, each time you receive a replacement stove, YOU will be out of pocket for the hookup fees which cost about $500 per hook up. We are on our third stove. I have documentation from Bertazzoni admitting to these issues but insistent that they are not responsible for hookup fees each time. after paying hookup fees for two replacement stoves that were both arrived defective with the same issue, we have chosen another brand. But I am still out of pocket for the hookup fees of these replacement stoves. We purchased out stove through Canadian Appliance Source. Canadian Appliance Source was aware of the ongoing safety issues with the thermostats when the sold it to us. They also refuse to take responsibility for the additional cost incurred. I have written documentation to support all of this and happy to share to make sure no one else ends up in the same very costly situation. We need to protect ourselves and other consumers from companies that do not take responsibility for their products. They are happy to take your money but once the sales is done, you are on your own.
