Delivery & pick up personnel 1 On the day the appliance arrive, delivery people refuses to take our old unit because it is "stacked", blaming us (customer) for not disclosing this complication. We get confused because (1) it is regular stack & washer (2) we answered all the questions sales person asked. We even offered to take it apart so it's easier to take back, but they said no and mentioned they would send someone else without giving any ETA. Customer service personnel 1 This customer service agent seemed to be having a bad day. Off the bat, start giving attitude and cut-off while I was explaining what happened. Had to interrupt and let her know we (customer) are the ones with old unit still left where they could be water damage on the floor (when delivery personnel installed, they left valve opened). *important* She said delivery personnels don't know how complicated the unit is until they are on site to do assessment, contradicting their delivery agent was blaming us for not telling them before they came. We've asked when is the ETA and she said she doesn't know and someone will call back. Customer service personnel 2 Another agent followed up few days later, saying they will cover the cost of pick up. We repeated reminded them this is a washer and dryer stacked unit. Agent asked if we can take them apart for them (this is something we offered to delivery personnel 1), but we said no. Customer service personnel 3 We called to ensure the agents were coming as promised, and reminded them it is a washer dryer stacked unit. Pick up personnel 2 After 4 days, pick personnels called and asked what they will be picking up. They had no idea what they were coming in for, nor ANY of logs on what we discussed with customer service personnel. The pick up personnel after looking at our home said they cannot do this and 4 people are needed. Also asked us if previous pick up personnel took pictures. Customer service personnel 4 We called back to ask someone to pick this up and 4 people are needed. They said someone will call back 3-4 hours. Customer service personnel 5 No one called us so we called back. Agent said they will now charge us $150+ for removal. I mentioned customer service personnel 2 said they will cover the cost of pick up. The personnel said that was to cover pick up personnel 2 which did nothing. Summary -Absolutely worst pick up service. They do their best not to pick up the old unit by blaming customers for not giving them exact environment of the unit EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NEVER ASKED TO THAT DETAIL WHEN NEW APPLIANCE WAS BOUGHT. -Even worse customer service. They will yell at you for being upset with them. They do not listen, but rather they try to fix in the way they think it's correct (which didn't end up solving anything). Three days before my intended delivery, CAS calls me and tells me that their third-party authenticator company has an approved my purchase but yet Visa has approved it and authorized it. Now I have to refund it, which requires me to wait 4 to 7 days business says and re-purchase it in the store. Which means now twice the amount of money is on my card because their refund policy pulled onto your money. I requested to return the fridge as the sales person gave me the wrong information. I was charged 25% for restocking. I have tried to speak with several After Sales representative that were horribly rude and even yelled at me. The restocking fee cost me over $1000 for a fridge that I never even plugged in and was sold on the fridge with misinformation. I was told that these things happen yet I am being punished. I purchased a GE Profile appliance package from this company's Calgary South store and scheduled a Sept 22 delivery. We waited in empty house on the 22nd for 8 hours. The delivery system kept extending time throughout day and stopped updating at 7:00 pm. We received our appliances the next day. We installed dishwasher on Sept 24 and it flooded our kitchen due to a manufacturer's defect. Our salesperson was immediately informed. He sent a url for us to request a return. A GE technician finally arrived Oct 10. He confirmed the defect and ordered parts. He will return when parts arrive but does not know when because "this is a special order". We would have expected sales folks to respond immediately with a new unit. If we wanted something refurbished, we would have gone to kijiji.ca or some other on-line marketplace. read more

Too bad we didn't read the reviews BEFORE we bought! Our old Jenn-Air 48" built-in side-by-side refrigerator stopped working. We needed a new fridge quickly. We searched and found very little choice available. We located a "floor model" at the Canadian Appliance Source location in Etobicoke. My wife drove down from our home in Maple to check it out. It looked pretty good. She ordered it, arranged through CAS for removal of the old fridge (the next day), delivery (the day after that) & installation (in 1 week) of the new one and paid a deposit. We had to pay the balance the same day. The following day 2 guys showed up to remove our old fridge. They stood there looking like deer in headlights and said they didn't know how to remove a fridge like ours. They left and we had to remove our own fridge as the new fridge was coming the next day! How inept is that? The delivery and installation went OK. It was only when I went to register our fridge that I discovered that, because the company that CAS uses exclusively to remove and install fridges was not a Jenn-Air Certified Installer we would not be getting the free 1 year extended warranty. This was worth $279.99 + HST. Jenn-Air told me there was nothing they could do as we had to use a certified installer. I emailed our salesman, Imran, but he just said that that was the only installer they used. He offered to SELL me that extended warranty at a discount. I suggested that the only reason I could come up with for this situation was that CAS only got "referral fees" from that installer but not from Jenn-Air certified installers. Looks like small claims court is the next step! We have dealt with Mike Blimpkie of CAS in Toronto for years. The appliances are the same as the other stores and the prices are pretty much the same. We kept coming back because of our salesperson. Our most recent purchase was a French door refrigerator. CAS facilitated the delivery. The delivery was on time. Having said that the experience was not good. The delivery people did not like the access to our building and did not like the access to our . They upset that we had not removed the old refrigerator doors (they were disposing of it), and told us they didn't install the handles on the new unit. They just were not pleasant. in 20 years this was the first time we've had complaints about accessing our building and kitchen. We called Mike, who stated he had told us we would have to remove doors, and install handles. That was untrue. We wanted some recognition of our irritation and asked for a $75 refund we have had no reply. There are lots of sales people and appliance stores out there selling the same brands for roughly the same price. I'm sad to say we will be finding out about them. read more

I had a new fridge delivered, with a broken freezer. I let our sales rep know within 6 days and was told i had to deal with a warranty claim with the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent a service guy out 5 times - i had to stay home from work 5 times and each time he either had the wrong part or broke what he was trying to install. After the 5th time, i requested a refund and was told it would take 6 weeks and i had to mail them a sticker from the back of the fridge to get it. Or i could get an exchange - but i would be responsible for collecting a new fridge from the curb - after i had had the original delivered inside! They sent a new fridge anyway - delivered by 3 people in a u-haul van that were joking with my husband about how they had never delivered a fridge before, which was evident since they transported it lying on it's side. Then I involved my credit cart company to file a dispute and received a call from CAS - finally!!! - on Christmas Eve! This was 3.5 months after this all started. Spoiler alert - i still don't have any money or a working freezer. Remember the sweetness of their cheaper prices will be long gone when the bitterness of lousy customer service sets in. I really wished I read the reviews before purchasing from this retail store. I purchased all new appliances from CAS, and the salesman were all friendly and willing to negotiate. Unfortunately I didn't do enough research or read enough into their sales polices. Let me warn everyone who is thinking of purchasing from this store what you might expect. I was looking at a specific mode Samsung Dryer and was negotiating on prices. The salesman said he couldn't do it but offered me 3 floor models for that price that had damage. I said no, and I'd prefer a new appliance. It costed me a bit more but I settled. Now on to the delivery. You book and schedule a delivery date. I requested a date a week in advance and for a morning delivery because I live in a Condo and require to book a service elevator. I also was scheduled to work in the afternoon. Unfortunately, they were a no show in the morning and I went to work. They showed up in the afternoon and my senior father was at home to receive the items. He was going through and inspecting it but, I guess it was taking him some time. The delivery men were pushing him to sign the papers because they had other delivers to make that day. My father signed not fully checking the appliances. When I came home, I noticed the dryer did not come packaged and had a huge dent on the front. I quickly remember the salesman telling me to take photos if I notice any damage and to report it ASAP to have them send me new unit. I didn't worry to much at this point. I called in customer service and they guided me on the process. Three days later I receive an email stating they denied the return because I signed for the packing slip stating all appliances were in good working order. They were willing to offer me $100.00 compensation. I declined and requested a new unit. They refused and were quite rude. As stated by others, calling into customer service is pointless as they don't help with anything. They direct you to email RA. I requested by email to speak to a manager and they just give me the regular phone number. They don't even provide an extension. It's like they don't even want to deal with you. Eventually I get a hold of someone who is willing to help. Me apologized and was willing to replace or refund the appliance. He said they should have offered to replace it. I requested a replacement. Then he gives me an email address to email resolution@caslp.ca and they would help set up the process. I get a reply stating the same story. Sorry, you signed the delivery papers and you accepted the items. Now I'm stuck with a damaged appliance. If you call the store, there's a man who answers and is extremely rude to everyone. They just put you on hold and never answer. If you call customer service you get the run around and told to contact ra or resolutions. And then they tell you to call customer service. This has been the worst customer service experience to date. I will never shop at this store again and I recommend anyone here to look elsewhere. Just google RedFlagDeals forum reviews on this chain. A complete joke. Their online Return Policy states the following under DAMAGES: "If the unit was accepted and signed for and there was concealed damage and reported within 48 hours of receipt, we will do everything possible to repair the unit (if it is at all possible). If deemed non-repairable by an authorized technician, we will send a replacement unit and pick up the damaged unit. On occasion the unit might need minor repairs; we will send an authorized service technician to try and repair the unit. It may take up to 10 days for a service appointment." Their online Policy also states: "All damages must be reported within 48 hours of pickup or delivery." So, therefore, I do not see why they refuse to replace the unit. read more

He told me he would take care of it on the 10th so I didn't bring back the dishwasher. Nothing was done on the 10th and he was hard to catch for the following days. I was then told to contact customer service because he couldn't do anything. Customer service told me on the 19th (Sonia Clair) that she was sending a note to salesman without wanting to tell me what it was but that he would be able to take care of it. I've tried to contact (phone + email) the salesman many time with no answer... Today, May 3rd, customer service told me that the company policies don't offer to match prices after it's delivered, that I can return it if I want! Almost 1 month after... I purchased a fridge from this company recently. I looked at the website and purchased it over the phone because the salesperson assured me I could return it within 30 days if anything was wrong. I receive fridge and it was the wrong size. I contacted them the next day and filled out the return request. The next day I received a response and it said my request was denied. I recently purchased a new fridge. Unfortunately after it was unwrapped we noted scratches on one of the doors. Our sales rep said to contact him with any problems so we tried. We explained to the sales office what the situation was and were told to wait until our own sales rep came back from vacation and explain the damage. The sales rep didn't tell us he wasn't going to be working. We did that when he returned to the store and he said he would take care of it for us. I regret having purchased our appliances and extended warranty at CAS. We had our 18month old GE refrigerator stop working on Dec. 10th, I called CAS on Dec. 11th and they informed me that I had purchased extended warranty. I called the extended warranty company iA Service Plan and was told someone would call me back in 24-48 hours, we did not receive a call back until WE called a week later, when they had admitted to my husband that our claim hadn't even been processed! I was told the earliest someone could come to look at it was January 3rd 2024! Every time I have reached out to CAS I would get the same song & dance that there is nothing they can do? I have asked to speak to management numerous times with absolutely no phone calls back! I was notified Jan. 11th that the compressor is in but, the first available appointment they have is January 31st! I waited over a month & a half in total, which is absolutely insane! I tried calling the warranty company iA Service Plan on Friday Jan. 12th and I wasn't going to hang up until I spoke to someone in management, the girl came back and said there was no management in and just hung up on me! Their service has been absolutely deplorable! This is not the customer service experience we were hoping for, I am speechless that nobody is standing behind their products! All we got from CAS was that it's not their problem, however it is their problem because they are the ones selling the extended warranty's! I don't even feel confident that once the part is replaced, that our fridge will last another year! Our fridge is still not working 100%, as it is making a rattling sound which it never did before. Long story short the fridge had a crack in the lining on the door (that was concealed with caulking), and they refused to do anything about it. I began my never ending journey of righting this wrong a day after delivery. It took until now, after stringing me along for 6 months, for them to eventually tell me there was nothing that could be done about it. Delivery team cracked our tile floor and damaged our wood transition piece. I highly suspect they knew there was potential damage as there was quite the crash. I came down in response to this crash and checked the walls and gave the fridge a more thorough check. At this point the fridge was already in the kitchen and in front of the location where it was to be plugged in and pushed in. Apparently I should have asked them exactly where they were during the crash and what they hit or dropped and where. I also would think that good customer service would share this info freely. We also had cardboard over the transition piece when we pulled the fridge out. This clearly wasn't used in putting the new fridge on otherwise the transition piece would have been protected from damage. I was told to not plug it in or move it for 1 hour. I signed the form saying that they completed the delivery and the fridge appeared fine. As soon as the hour was up I hooked up the fridge and pushed it in leaving the cracked floor now uncovered. I immediately called customer service and then filled out the provided claim form. I was told to expect a call within 3-5 business days. Close to a week and a half later I received a call. It was the most passive aggressive and condescending phone call I have ever had received. A loose summary is That I was asked if I remembered signing a form and basically said "I want to help you but because you signed that form my hands are tied". That I could have made the guys stay until the fridge was pushed in but didn't and to sign off was there any other thing that he could help me with. This delivery company was subcontracted by CAS so when I got a wall with them I contacted CAS. We have been given a complete runaround despite multiple phone calls and emails. And despite asking have not been given the opportunity to speak to anyone higher than customer service whom have proven to have no power to help in this case. Positive- we have a new fridge. I am not going to go full Karen here (because I generally dislike those comments) but I will say that CAS and their delivery agent will not help us with damage to my kitchen island done by the 2 workers. The delivery guys were 1) in an incredible hurry, 2) rude, 3) not careful and 4) the agent on the phone has done nothing but blame us (!) and deflect the problem. It's a shame I can't give 0 Stars: Worst Customer Experience I've ever witnessed: The kind of company that uses "because of COVID" to mask their incompetence. I won't ever get tired of speaking against this company, and reviewing negatively any profile I come across online. The kind of experience a full refund doesn't even come close to compensate for. You may leave their showroom feeling good (I did) but at the moment of the delivery or when issues arise, you will regret buying from them. Ordered 3 appliances end of September, the prices offered at the Store were higher than on the website and I had to keep pushing them to match it. I ended up ordering the appliances for November delivery and the salesperson said that delivery would not be a problem. NOT A SINGLE FOLLOW UP or update after placing the order by anyone there, I had to call last week as the moving date approached, and I'm told one of the items is delayed 4 weeks, but I'm asked to wait one more week as 2 items should arrive on time. One week later, just few days away from needing the appliances: All appliances are delayed, the fridge that was supposed to be ready to deliver, not even shipped from the factory.
