This is the first part of the scam, the second is, they email you a form for your credit card info, READ THIS FORM CAREFULLY, this form does more then just give them your credit card info. This form allows them to STORE your credit card indefinately, and it allows them to charge your credit whenever, and it is up to you when you cancel. This is all BEFORE they attend your home, and assess your issue and provide a quote. After i spoke to my partner who practices law , he told me it was ILLEGAL and a serious scam. I mentioned it to Matt Buckley who quickly deleted the link to the form he sent me, and vanished. If they offer a free quote, they should do just that, its part of the business model. If they want your credit card info, be honest about why you want it, and dont leave out important info knowing many people TRUST you and just sign. They were not even apologetic for the misrepresentation or their ill actions

The previous owner used poison and that left a few dead carcasses in the attic. As import as being good is, just as import is being honest. Ryan will only recommend and do what is needed. If there is another trade like a roofer that can fix a problem better than him, he will recommend that - this is being honest and recommending to customers what is best for them. I initally requested help with a squirrel problem in our atttic. This took about 7 or 8 visits by Hassan to repair/close entry points in our roof, set traps to catch the squirrels, and then several follow-up visits to inspect the attic to make sure squirrels had not returned. During the intial visit and survey of the roof and attic, Hassan pointed out some other issues he noticed: 1) there were several bee nests in the attic ---so I hired Hassan to remove the bee nests. 2) the gutters were full of debris from recent windstorms --- so I hired Hassan to clean the gutters. 3) one of the down pipes attached to the gutter was detached and bent --- so Hassan fixed that. 4) one of the soffits was hanging down a bit so Hassan fixed that. I always appreciate it when someone comes to provide a service and at the same time, points out other unrelated issues that could be a problem. They quoted us $200 -575, and then, said that it would be $575 + $175 + GST so to start with, it was expensive, but who wants fleas, right? We wanted it done fast and they were registered on Yelp and with Better Business Bureau and they had some good reviews... I thought I'd done my research. 1. The guy who showed up arrived on foot with a gas mask and spray container. He said that he parked down the street. I saw him leave by foot with a guilty look after I paid him and I swear I saw him drive past in a taxi! 2. He checked for fleas with his flashlight by looking up at the ceiling in one closet. I said that I had just shaken the bath mats and found one, so he picked one up and shook it. He didn't seem to know what he was looking for and he told us that the pest control spray would attract the fleas and that they would take it back to their nest and that would deal with them. Nest?! Fleas don't 'nest'. I should have canceled the appointment right there. 3. He had us leave the house and came out in 10 minutes. "All done," he announced. 10 minutes to spray all door frames and baseboards in a 2000+ sqfoot house? Well, what do we know. We've never dealt with this before. We've never hired exterminators before.... 4. The lady I spoke to on the phone said that we would need to be out of the house for 5-6 hours. "Sam" (short for "Hassam" from Surrey) said, "No, a couple hours only." Hmmm. 5. My 80 year old mom paid the total bill with a cheque and he left. That's when I returned to see him walking away and then, driving away in a taxi. I called the company back and spoke to the 'lady'. She became very defensive and said that it was up to me to do my research and that was my fault. Then, she said that they have to be properly accredited to be approved by Better Business Bureau, and tried to assure me that it would take time and that they would come back if the flea problem was not corrected by 6 weeks... We ended up hiring another company 2 weeks later as the problem was getting worse. What a disaster.

He also brought his supervisor, who could not find anything. I looked and found on Reddit - Avon. We got in Avon a week later, who found 3 bedbugs (shown to us) in a matter of minutes. Much less prep work as well. They cost less than Abell and so far (1 week in) no bites. And they guarantee the work! Skip paying for Abell, and just call Avon. Abell have been really great in their efforts to help rid my apartment suite of a mouse…read moreinfestation. Rico is professional, pleasant and does everything he can to try to solve the problem. I was devastated by the mouse issue in my ground floor suite in a 64 year old building in Kerrisdale, and Rico helped to calm my fears and reassure me that they would keep working on the problem until resolution. It has been about 4 weeks since his last visit, and I have not seen any mice inside my suite. Previous to this, for 3 or 4 months, I would see a few mice every day (especially at night). I feel so much better and am cautiously optimistic that they won't come back. I am a bit nervous that the problem could recur once the cold weather sets in.
