My husband and I had a great experience at Canal Park Brewing. Our server was Ashley and she was super friendly and efficient. It's casual and has plenty of seating inside and outside. I ordered their Tidehaus with a beyond burger patty, and my husband ordered the Brewpub Smashburger. We shared cheese curds and sweet potato fries for our sides. All the food was delicious. I still think about those cheese curds!! They had a light crispiness on the outside and a creamy, cheesy inside. I also tried the Minnesota mule at the recommendation of our server and it was really good. All I had to do was tell her what kind of taste I was looking for and she immediately nailed it on the recommendation. This was our first meal in Duluth, and it set the bar high.

Pretty solid burgers, consistently well made. I come in once every month or two. This time around, I had the smash burger. It had good flavor however a little on the small side, that being said, although it is already a double patty you can order a double- double. I just might do that next time. Their beers are well done also, lots of IPA's

Friends and I met here, had a blast out on the patio. Drank many beer, had several appetizers it was all good. We sat around the self service fire pit, and had to step inside for beers. No problem, the bartenders at the main bar were great. We had kids, and they whipped up some excellent Shirley temples. Staff is very friendly, and try to accommodate all requests amicably. We came back to enjoy some beers on the balcony and the beer list is mostly IPA's, which I don't care for. Slim pickings for beer this time, I hope next time is better. I do highly recommend visiting. Pet friendly, great outdoor seating. 4.5 stars.

This has become our go-to spot when in downtown Duluth and walking the boardwalk. Beers are good, local, and cold. Food is hot, fresh and substantial portion sizes. What else could you ask for?!

Hop Passport Stop #?? (I'll have to run numbers later to get this caught up for next time) for MN on the Hop Passport Brewery Tour Amazing Brewery Race We stopped in to try to have a couple of brews & wait out the rain a bit, before officially getting started on the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Pack Stacker Stout - 4 Lake Haze - 4 Service was decent and we did take a look at the menu but opted to skip the food. The outdoor seating is great & the views are spectacular. We met several friendly patrons- a couple of locals & a few passer-throughs, all of which were happy to chat about the area, the Lake &, well, beer...

I will keep this somewhat short. This place is just plain fun to hang out at. What is not to like? If you are staying in any of the myriad of hotels along canal street, you can walk there. The brewery is located right off the pathway, and you have a wonderful view of the lake. The beer is always fresh and well made. There is a beer for all: malty, hoppy, sour, crisp/clean. They have a full bar for those who don't like beer (gasp!) The food is decent bar food. been here multiple times and either ate appetizers or an entree. I walked away plenty happy every time.

Our always go to spot to grab lunch when in downtown Duluth. Not only do they have great food but also great beer! No wait for a Sunday around 12:45 which was awesome. We sat inside as some weather was coming towards us. Service was great. On this outing, I ordered a Reuben on gfree bread with fries. They face these thick soft (on the inside) delish fries. Very filling. The sandwich was perfection! The kiddo was happy about his kids cheeseburger option. He also got chocolate milk. Yum. I got the mule cocktail on the menu. Delish for not being in a copper mug. Lots of public (pay lots) in the surrounding area areas. $6 for 3 hours. Beautiful patio if the weather is nice and great walking path to view the lake behind the building.

The drinks were incredible! We got the blueberry jalapeno mocktails and beer! The cheese curds were fire!!! The hummus platter = I do not recommend the hummus platter. Yuckie ughhkie

Wonderful service, thank you Lexi! Dog friendly outside seating, casual atmosphere. Enjoyed a flight of seltzer, light beer, octoberfest, and a cream ale while the bfenjoyed the ipas. The dips are great, the mac cheese is bland. We wrre going to get a grilled cheese n tomato soup but learned it wasn't vegetarian- I sincerely appreciated Lexi checking that for me.

Quick stop here before the concert on the ship tonight. We were seated by the server station that constantly had loud noises from plates, ice machine and foot traffic. Not a great first impression. It's obviously that they cater to the tourist with a large menu that has so many options, which is never a good sign. We decided to go somewhere else for dinner, just had a beer and an app. The Hazy Lakeside IPA was disappointing and barely had any flavor. Not a great relaxing ambiance if you're looking for somewhere you can enjoy a nice dinner. But it's good for families and large groups. There's way better restaurants and breweries in the city to settle for this.

I'll start by saying that the location can't be beat and the service was really quick and friendly. Outside of that everything else is just "OK" but you're paying a premium for that harbor view. It's your quintessential tourist-trap and you should expect food and prices to match. It reminds me of a resort restaurant or a spot that is supported 90% by corporate happy hours. If you're with a large group of people and need to accommodate a large range of diets/preferences this is a solid choice. Otherwise there are a bunch of better (and cheaper) options around, in my opinion.

Great beer selection & has TVs for sporting events. Saw the people next to me get Nachos & they looked large. Was visiting Duluth for a long weekend with my fiancé & this was one of the few places that had TVs to watch the ending of the later NFL games. The sour beer was amazing.

The positive- the server was great! A nice place - clean and not super loud. The pretzels and beer cheese dip were awesome- The ok- the dip seampler was mostly great. The guac was kind of bland. The hummus was yum and the cheesy dip was so tasty. The "crudités" were simply carrots and celery. My friend's burger was good apparently and the portabella burger I had was ok. The mushrooms were good but I feel like there was some meat leakage onto either it or the bun. I'm vegetarian and have not had meat for years. I had an off taste on that bottom bun. The French fries were ok but why so thin?? Idk they didn't stay warm too long In reality- pretty typical brew house food. But the people were really nice

When we arrived a bit after 7PM, we had quite some trouble finding parking and ended up having to park a couple of blocks away after circling for 20 minutes. Walking in, the place wasn't too busy, perhaps 50% capacity. We were interested in ordering the fried cheese curds, but the server told us they weren't battered in house, so we passed on them. Smoked Fish Salad (Market Price, $18.99) - This is a pretty salad - all ingredients are arranged in rows along the dish. Mixing things together is a bit of a pain, but I appreciate the dressing on the side to add to preference. The dressing is an interesting blend of mayo and other ingredients, perhaps BBQ sauce, that make it slightly tangy and very sweet. There's an undertone of smokiness throughout, which tastes somewhat like liquid smoke rather than the dressing actually being smoked. It is on the sweeter side of dressings. Other than greens, there's a row of wild rice, dark and snappy, completely broken cultivated rice. There's also a bit of house smoked trout, nice and smoky. (4/5) Classic Wild Rice Burger ($16.99) - This is one of the tallest burgers I've seen in quite a while, mostly due to the inclusion of fresh vegetables including onion and tomato, and alfalfa sprouts. For some reason instead of using larger tomatoes, they use small roma tomatoes, including three small slices. They also used red onion that's chopped into a variety of different shapes instead of whole slices. It's really strange - I guess this saves on cost? Unfortunately smaller pieces means things fall out while eating. The patty is larger than the bun. It has plenty of broken wild rice bits giving some additional crunch and that signature wild rice taste. It's charred on the griddle well and it keeps its structure, not falling apart or becoming mushy at any point. I love how it's distinctively a rice burger and doesn't try to be a meat substitute. Two slices of American cheese are melted on top that gives some fattiness to the dish. The bun is toasted without butter and there's a flavorful garlic mayo spread on the top. It would be nice if they had also applied the sauce to the bottom bun as I found the patty to not have enough moisture or fat incorporated. The burger comes with some thin commercial fries. There aren't any issues with the level of fry and they are otherwise unremarkable. (4/5) Fitger's Brewhouse serves some solid good old fashioned Midwestern American food. Not much else to say. All were good, I got one called The Longest Road (or something like that) that had walnut bitters and it was just so smooth and delish. Excited to come back another time to try another themed menu!
