There's quite a bit of waiting around for the candle to solidify before you decorate it. They have so many choices including different stones, glitter, and shells for decorating. I picked the sage fragrance for one candle and a more fruity scent, which I believe was the mango papaya, for the other candle. I also liked their birthday cake scent. The instructor did an excellent job explaining all the steps during the candle making workshop, so it was really easy to follow along. I love how my candle turned out and I'm so excited to use it at home. We decided to take a candle making class to celebrate our one year anniversary and I am so glad we did. The ambiance of this place was great. There were 4 tables that seat 6 individuals each for these classes. When we walked in, we were greeted, told to grab an apron and were directed where to sit. Everything that would be needed was laid out at each seat. You get to use a single fragrance or mix two together. There is a wide selection of jars to choose from for your candle. They walk you through every step. You get to add gems, stones, florals, and/or glitter to your candle. When done, they will add finishing touches and have them ready for pick up within an hour. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and it was cool to see how candles are made. I highly recommend this place for a cute date night idea or if you and your girlfriends are looking for something fun to do together. The class is roughly an hour long. I enjoyed my friends birthday outing with Candle Castle & Co! The space is very bright and the chairs are comfortable. Arianna, our candle making guide, was great and had very detailed instructions. I enjoyed the selection of the candle holders as well as the scents, and they even have holiday scents! I also enjoyed decorating my candle with all of the options too. I do wish though that we had more time. It felt quick and I would've liked more time to smell the scents since I have a hard time making a decision. THE CLASS: Perfect for gifting an experience & a candle that person will enjoy because they picked the color, design and fragrance. Class is well done, fun, memorable, lots of options for color of vessel, fragrance and design (botanicals, glitter, crystals). Perfect amount of time to spend (about an hour) and plenty of local restaurants / bars / coffee shops to continue the fun. High quality ingredients. A word of warning: Avoid the temptation of over-decorating. They offer botanicals, glitter, crystals, pebbles... you don't have to use all of it. But I'm a minimalist. You do you. Glitter away. What I would change: They offer so many colors for the vessel but I wish they had some variety in shape/type of vessel not just color. That said... STORE: So many unique and creative handmade candles that are created in the store (not made in china). Many options for type of candle (addresses my lack of vessel variety complaint for the class). Also has handmade soap, bath salts and other accessories. SERVICE: Excellent! They offer private events in the back and you can have food and beverage. Very fun, I highly recommend and this will be an annual Christmas present that my preteen and I give to each other. I've done this experience for the 4th time now, but I think this will be my first review. Every time I've been there we've had such a great experience. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, the location is very good/convenient (you can even take a walk at 606 while they get your candle ready for pick up). Parking is not too difficult to find, if you don't want to pay just drive a little further or maybe try going on a Sunday. I might be coming again soon with friends or even by myself. This time I didn't really take many pictures. I was a little bit late but they were very kind to still allowed me to join my group. Every time my friends have joined me they loved it and the packaging they give you once the candle is ready is just gorgeous you can see the attention to detail and how dedicated they are to their job. Most of the times my instructor has been Sunshine (that's her name/alias) (she really picked an appropriate alias to go by, she is really fun ) Once we had a male instructor and he was newer to the role but still pretty good. Each of us left disappointed, the class wasn't well organized, took too long and the candles and fragrances are overly sweet an unappealing. The candles had a lot of sparkle after adding glitter, stones, flowers and seashells at the recommendation of the store. A few pro tips: 1. Would not recommend burning these candles due to the heavy smoke and soot they produce and smell a little chemical or unnatural. 2. Our group has been bombarded with e-mails to give a five star review on Google. Feels "spammy" if this is a word-LOL. Would not recommend based on our experience. read more

My partner made a reservation here as a surprise date for our 6th anniversary and I was so excited to see that it was a candle making class! However, my opinion soured quickly when I realized the unprofessional behavior of the people who work here. I have IBS and after walking to the store I really needed to use the bathroom. I wandered away while my partner checked us in and found a clearly labeled, accessible one in the back to use. He informed me upon my return that the cashier gave a snarky remark that "the restroom isn't open to the public" and I "should have asked" before using it even though we clearly paid ($60 each!) for the class. It put a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the hour. The employee who led us through the class was at least nicer but would leave to use their phone in between steps to make the candles. Everything else was okay. The store is clean and bright and there are many options of inclusion/scents/vessels for making your own candle. If we were to do this again I would try a different place with more attentive, accommodating service. read more
