The Apple Pie candle smells just like an apple pie BEFORE its baked - fresh and sweet. Mind blowing, I know. Not only are the candles great (and reasonably priced I may add), but there are a variety of other local items as well - jewelry, candle holders, etc... If you are looking for a unique gift, this would be a great place to stop. Until 2025, I would have considered Westfield a five-star company based on my long history with them. Unfortunately, throughout 2025 I experienced a complete breakdown in customer service communication, which ultimately led me to pull my business. Despite multiple emails and voicemails over several months, I received no responses to documented issues, even while new orders continued to be fulfilled. Unresolved issues included: -Being charged for and shipped trade paperbacks when my subscriptions were for single issues, with no response regarding returns or credits. -Being charged shipping three separate times for a single monthly shipment, with no explanation. -Missing subscription issues that were reported and never acknowledged. Receiving some incorrect items in place of missing books, with no replacements ever provided. -Multiple damaged comics due to a change in packing methods. Recent shipments were packed tightly in boxes with no protective dunnage, resulting in visibly damaged corners on numerous books. I reported the damage by listing each affected titles, but received no response. Mistakes can happen in any business. What ultimately drove my decision to leave was the complete lack of communication. After decades as a loyal customer, being consistently ignored made it clear that customer service is no longer a priority. I'm sharing this review strictly to document my experience so other customers can make informed decisions.

It is my first adventure outdoors since the polar vortex settled for three days with -50 below wind chills, and the brightly colored Pendleton blankets tucked inside a cabinet are tempting. The Juniper incense provides a blanket of warmth for the senses--what a wonderful welcome on a winter's day. My friend, a practicing shaman, has a birthday coming up and I buy the incense ($5/20 bricks) from Santa Fe for her, along with a Juniper smudge stick ($5). Katy displays jewelry so it easy to view the pendants and earrings and bracelets...too lovely. She also has stunning vintage silver and turquoise pieces, as well as simple traditional ghost beads. The silver and coral jewelry catches my eye. Ojibwe woven baskets will make a nice gift. Katy is always friendly and encourages customers to take their time and appreciate what she offers. It is easy to move around in the store. Everything is in display cases or shelves on the wall--and just enough, not overwhelming, definitely not gathering dust, and no narrow aisles. Her little dog is sweet and lucky dog has a beautiful turquoise on his collar. She keeps recent issues of Native American newspapers by the door for $2.00. What a gift this independent business owner has created on Monroe Street. I'll be back for a blanket.

These kinds of stores often have the type of jewelry I like--sterling silver, and with varying gemstones. Art Gecko has a lot of selection here, and they also have a stone of the week (when I was here, it was labradorite). Amber, garnet, ruby, peridot; you'll find it all here. So many rings, earrings, and pendants, and a really great range of sizes. I have big fingers, and there were a lot in my size. Many of the rings were also arranged in tray by size, so I could simply point to the size I wanted to look at rather than be disappointed that something I liked would barely fit my pinky. They also had some of the rings in trays by colors, and there was a tray just of labradorite ostensibly since it's the stone of the month. I didn't need to spend more money than I did. Having said that, I looked diligently to see if they had any bracelets, and their inventory was very very sparse there. I did see an amber bracelet, I think, and perhaps one or two more but not in a stone I liked. That's okay!

The shopkeepers are old school in a way: it's their shop and they have a personal connection to the gifts, very knowledgable about their provenance.
