We started out seeing these dresses at Pink Bride in Knoxville and my daughter fell in love with these dresses the moment we stepped into this salon. We made an appointment to be fitted into these dresses. Let me tell ya- this owner is amazing!!!! She is so caring for her brides and families. She is like a mother figure!! She lets the mother of the bride or any other member of the family help dress the bride!!!! Carol and her team are AMAZING! Experienced, informed, no pressure at all to buy. I am a 40+ first time, picky bride to be and wanted a dress for my slender 5-11 frame that is 1- fitted, sexy and feminine w/o being too sexy or bare 2- comfortable (no itchy lace!) 3- affordable I've looked at dresses since last April and tried maybe 30 dresses in CA and NC. I did not really know my dress style except for the above criteria.... I actually found not one but TWO gorgeous dresses here (2nd choice needed no alterations!) but the one I got was simply more "me" and a bit more comfortable. When you put in 2 stars on Yelp it defaults to: 'Meh. I've experienced better.' And that pretty much sums it up. The ladies working at this shop are SO MUCH FUN!! They are working hard to find you a dress that you can wear the very next day and they are having A BLAST with you each step of the way! They will help you find your size. They will hold your gowns. They will help you try on. They will hold (max 1-2 days) a dress for you while you consider your budget. in all I have to say that the quality of gowns in my size wasn't very good. I mean at $100-$300 you really get what you pay for in terms of a cheap deal. Also, when I was in the dressing room about halfway clothed they kept coming in and out. I appreciate them checking me. But. Each time they opened the door ..they opened it so wide I could see other staff and customers poking and looking in on me. No thank you! I need some privacy and modesty please. BUT I will say this. I fell in love with sooo many vintage gowns for teeny tiny ladies. You know that dresses run small, right? If you are a size 10 thinking you'll find a size 10 you better think again and look 2 sizes bigger. Well if you are typically a 2 or a 4 or a 6 then you are in luck! They have some incredible gowns that are a size 8 and some 10's too. Of course you would have to be a street size 6 and no way will I fit into a thimble, folks. But oh if I did!! You know, a woman should be made to feel special when planning her wedding. You guys sure did a bang up job on that. Telling my fiancee that she must have called a different shop. After she showed you on her cellphone that she had in fact spoken to you guys, you then all but accused us of breaking in. Your front door not only was not locked, it was propped open. No offense, but why would a door to a business be locked at 12:30 PM anyway, not that your door was locked. I actually closed it when I came in, and when we left I checked it, and it certainly wasn't locked. When a customer is planning on paying cash money for a product, It's not a good idea to jerk it out of their hands and put it back on the rack and say "These are reserved for our appointments to look at." Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had a retail store. Considering the fact that both of our fathers are ministers in the area, as well as two of my brothers, I can assure you that we will make sure other potential brides are made aware of what you did today. read more

My mom was flying into Asheville so I had decided to book an appointment after seeing them at the bridal show in Greenville. So about a 2 hour drive for me-and well worth it. They set me up and made sure I knew that we weren't just searching for a dress, but THE DRESS. They were so helpful and truly listened to me. When the dresses we had picked didn't work out they went and found others. I'm so glad I made this my stop. They made me feel like the only bride in the world. The selection is amazing and full of unique dresses. The ladies were amazing and prices are out of this world. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a wedding dress. Don't be fooled by the "average" looking shopping center where Candler Budget Bridal is located! It is a FANTASTIC shop with so many beautiful and incredibly affordable dresses to choose from. The ladies who helped our bride were amazingly kind, helpful, patient and enthusiastic. Although our bride ultimately did not find her dress at this shop, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone searching for that perfect dress for their special day. Carol and Rebecca were the nicest women and genuinely care about finding you the dress that is perfect for your wedding, not just making a sale. Rebecca was so knowledgeable about the process of trying on gowns and made the whole thing so much fun. She has a whole routine for trying on dresses that makes it so easy. She really wants you to find the dress that you really love and that you feel the greatest in. What these women are doing with this shop is incredible. As a bride on a budget, I really left feeling anything but cheap. May I just say...WOW! I couldn't have asked for a better day of wedding dress shopping! The staff was very warm and welcoming, they told me to pick as many dresses as I wanted to try on (the more the better actually), then they picked out a few that they thought would look great on me as well. All of their dresses in the store are $300 and they have another section of $400 dresses, as well as a few $500 dresses in the fitting room that you can try on as well. They help you change into all the necessary undergarments so you don't have to stand half naked between each dress you're trying on and also have a small fireplace heater and AC unit to keep you warm or cool depending on how you feel. I must have tried on at least 20 dresses today and they accessorized me the whole way through! They only let you hold your 2 favorite dresses off to the side at a time, which was an absolute blessing as it made it sooooo much easier to decide at the end instead of trying to narrow down between 10 favorites. I was never once rushed, told no, or pushed to buy anything at all. They didn't even try to upsell me any accessories, but I actually ended up buying some amazingly priced jewelry to wear for the big day and may return to buy a veil later! They truly made the day all about me, making sure to remind my lovely friends to provide their opinions but that the choice was all mine and came down to how I felt in the dress. I'm usually a size 2-4, 5'3", and found the most beautiful princess dress that I won't have to make any alterations to at all, don't have to get any undergarments to wear under it, well under my original budget, and had my mom ugly crying on Facebook video when she saw it :) I couldn't have hoped for more! I had a wonderful experience shopping for my wedding dress at Candler Budget Bridal! I did not expect it to be so fun and stress free. The owners of the shop were so sweet, helpful and not at all pushy. The lady working was able to work me in even though it was her day off. She helped me pick out dresses and put them on. There were multiple dresses that I loved and she helped me pick out the best one. None of the dresses are over $600! I even bought a veil and belt because they were so beautiful!
