big wide path that goes all the way around the park!

I love fall weather so I took full advantage of the first cool weekend we had this month and went looking for something new to enjoy outdoors. Not ten minutes from my house I made a big discovery, a lovely new park! Candleridge Park is a very charming little spot with lots of shady trees, benches, a beautiful little pond with a fountain and ducks swimming all around. It is a big space, with plenty of area to walk on the wide paved path that went all the way around the park, and even had trails that go off through the neighborhoods. There is a lot of playground equipment for kids, and even a workout area for adults, or what I have dubbed the adult playground ha. It also has a few covered pavilions with barbecues (I'm already planning a picnic). I can't believe I've been in the area a few years now and never knew it was right there. It is truly a hidden little gem right off of Hulen street!

Beautiful park for a morning stroll. Nice people walk, run or bike. It has a well-kept playground for kids and a workout and stretching center for adults, complete with instructions. Ducks and geese complete this hidden gem in southwest Fort Worth!

I love this park! Although I did see a nutria rat one time :-0 the park is well kept! There is a cute bridge that crosses over the pond and lots of ducks to feed if you have children! Also there is a playground and lots of resting benches spread out around the pond. I would definitely recommend this park!

Candleridge Park. A great start to spring

Playground equipment is set to designated age limits, but kids don't care and do whatever they want.

Aaaaamazing!!! This…read morepark checks every box. Walkable, bike friendly, and perfect for a solid run. The trail is paved and lined with mile markers, which I always appreciate. Each bridge has clear street signs and access points with stairs or exits, so you can hop on or off wherever you need. There are also location markers along the trail, (for emergency purposes )which is great for safety in such a large park. Playgrounds are scattered throughout, and there is even a basketball court tucked under a bridge with really cool graffiti that gives it some personality. The park is clean. Like noticeably clean. Restrooms are mostly portable, but many are enclosed in small structures so they blend in better and are not an eyesore. And yes, they were clean. You will find kayaking launch areas, fishing spots, picnic tables, and benches everywhere. There is plenty of space to spread out without feeling isolated. It is not overcrowded, but you are not alone either. The crowd felt easygoing, and cyclists were respectful. I felt completely safe the entire time. There are multiple paths to switch things up, plus a few shorter gravel routes if you want a change of pace. I even spotted e bike stations along the way. Honestly, this park sits right in the heart of Fort Worth and makes it feel like you do not even need a car in this part of DFW. One of the best runs I have had in a while.

nice park with lots of grass fields and walking trails right along the river and plenty of places…read moreto park.
