Snowcone with cream & ice cream in cup
    Requel P.

Had to stop by on my drive back home. This time the drive through is permanently closed so I went inside. Inside has tons of candy, brands from years ago. So much chocolate and such to see. Even this large edible Santa. I ordered the chili cheese nachos & a snowcone with a scoop of bluebell ice cream at the bottom and condensed cream on top. Yes I'm greedy. However the young lady didn't really get my order right. I only got the chili on my nachos (no cheese unfortunately) and she forgot to add in my condensed cream on my snowcone which I prefer all throughout the snowcone or at least inside the middle. So I only got a little at the top. I didn't have time to stay for it to be fixed. So next time!

What a wonderland! Lots of flavors of ice cream to choose from, lots of different kinds of candy. Set in a cabin type place, everything is clean and well organized with plenty of kitsch and old-time decor. Employees were all very friendly. Large parking lot on the side. The road is just off a main street that has a heavy traffic load. They also have a party room for birthday parties. Or whatever. I wonder if one could have a wedding reception here. Or an adult birthday party with no alcohol. Oh the possibilities. Close to I-10, it is very accessible.

Every time I played the game Candyland as a kid I wished I could jump into the board and wander around that magical forest with the lollipop trees and gumdrop mountains. Dreams do come true! Candyland Cottage is EVERYTHING!! It is so cute complete with a train and a carousel. Every kind of candy you want you'll find here, even vintage candies you probably haven't seen in years. All kinds of truffles-everything from wedding cake flavor to merlot-and fudge flavors galore. I loved looking at everything including the world's largest gummy bear and an 80 pound chocolate Santa. It's not only a candy store, though. There is a cafe in here as well serving up hot dogs, burgers, shakes and malts. There's plenty of seating, too. Go check out the sweetest little cottage in Acadiana!

This place is amazing! Jackie, the owner, is a ray of sunshine! My kids and nieces/nephews had a blast! Delicious ice cream, lots of flavors to choose from, candy and more! This place is a GEM! So much fun!

Cute candy and ice cream shop off the interstate in Scott, LA. In here you will find restrooms, fudge , blue bell ice cream, truffles and an endless supply of candy. The place just has a very vintage feel & welcoming vibe. Just looking around is fun: outside is a mini carousel in the back , a water wheel and small train in the front. When you enter on the left is a wheel you can spin called bean boozled. You spin and then get a jelly bean that could be one of two flavors: a good one and not so appetizing one . It's fun for the kids or adventurous adult. I really loved the counter that reminded me of an old school soda shop counter. I ordered an ice cream brownie and cream soda and enjoyed it at the counter. It hit the spot for my sweet tooth. There is a small stage in the back that I was told served as an area for Santa or the Easter Bunny during the holidays . They also have a room for birthday parties or events . I would definitely stop here again when traveling through the area!

"Where old & 'yum' come together!" Such a magical place!! Our family of four finally checked out Candyland, and we were all in awe! I loved how close to the interstate the one in Scott, LA is, and my husband loved all the novelty/giant candies, such as the 26 lbs. gummy bear and the giant gummy worm. Our 9 year old daughter's favorite was the ice cream bar, and my 6 year old daughter's favorite was all the jelly beans! I was also drooling over all the homemade fudge and truffles! I had seen pics of the store and knew we would go someday, but it's so much better in person!! We went in early January and got to see the precious setup they had for Santa, so next year, we'll have to come when Santa is in!! We rode the train outside ($3/child) and was told that Santa rode the train into the building! So cute! Something about a candy store that brings joy to your heart and innocence from childhood. Practical observations, the place was super clean and spread out so didn't feel crowded like some candy stores do. I even "checked out" the bathrooms and was impressed at their cleanliness too. Customer service was great as well. We cannot wait to return and hope this will be a family tradition for us for many years!!

Clay has a cute candy store with tiny grocery carts for the little ones. They have huge gummy bears, an array of jelly beans, sour candy, gum, chocolate, fudge, silly candies, sodas, ice cream. Funny Willy Wonka references.

Omg this place is super cute! I actually came across this place on Yelp looking for things to do in the area. While I am not a huge candy eater, I happen to love visiting "vintage type" candy stores. I called the number I found on Yelp to verify their hours. I found out they were actually moving to a new location so that's where we went. We walked in and were greeted with a basic greeting from two young employees. The hubby and I started browsing while the two young employees stayed behind the counter. No biggie, I like to browse on my own. We visited the Jelly Belly beans dispensers first. They have every flavor imaginable. It's a self serve so you can create your own combos if you like. We looked around some more and found lots of other candy as well. I was still looking for that "vintage" candy. Then we walked out of the little side room we were in and found more of the store. I found that vintage candy I was looking for. I remember remarking to my husband that the place looked really empty because of the size of the building. That's when the owner came out and greeted us. He was so nice. He talked to us for a while and was telling us how they are still working on the store and still adding stuff to it. He urged us to come back next time we're in the area to see what's new. Also, he showed us the little train in the back. When the weather is not bad he offers train rides. Just talking to him made the experience even better. We looked around some more and found an ice cream/malt parlor. We didn't get any but it looked very good. Also along that wall they had handmade fudge and truffles. We each got a truffle. They were both quite tasty. We ended up spending more money than we planned but I look at it as paying for the experience, not just the candy. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area!

I love candy and when I heard about this huge candy store I just had to go and I'm glad that I did. It's was fun looking at all the different kinds of candy. The prices start at about .15 cents and go up to $499 for a 3 feet tall Santa. They have a whole case of homemade candys like bob bons and stuff then another big case full of all flavors of fudge. They have suckers, gum, but o honey, fireballs, candy cigarettes, gigantic tootsie pops, lady taffys, every flavor jelly belly jelly bean, cotton candy, moon pies, they have was too much to even try to name. They also haves soda fountain and ice cream parlor and all types of yummy confections and grab bags. My kids and grandkids used to love to get grab bags. They even have big whole pickles for sale for $1 by the register.

Was on the way to Houston and got a craving for ice cream. "Best icevcream shop in LA!" proclaimed a local as we walked across the parking lot. Wonderful ice cream selection. Blue Bell. Friendly staff. Amazing collection of many types of candies. Some I had not seen in decades. Had a great time. Will definitely come back if travels take me across I-10 again.

    OMG!! The truffles.
    David T.

Ok, this place is like OMG!! You've heard the old saying, "like a kid in a candy store"? Yep, that was me!! It has SO MUCH CANDY, fudges, truffles, dipped Blue Bell ice cream; stuff that will make you gain weight just walking in and walking around and we BUSTED our diet today. They have old school candies like sugar daddies and sugar babies, as well as, the newer stuff like gummy bears and worms, nerds.
