I have been taking my dog here for some time now and is usually a very good experience , but today's visit was not very pleasant. The tech seemed very aggravated and showed in the atmosphere. I left with some concerns about the level of care. The service felt rushed, especially when it came to expressing the anal glands--an important part of grooming that shouldn't be overlooked or done hastily. This is a sensitive procedure that requires proper time and attention for the comfort and health of the pet. I dropped my Pet off at 1:50pm (the appointment time) waited for about three minutes for them to take my pet back and I didn't get out the door fast enough when they called me at 2:05pm saying my pet was ready! which seems awfully short for the two grooming procedures that needed to be done. I hope they take more care with this aspect in the future. read more

Not overbook! Let owners know when they are done in a timely manner. No one wants their pup hanging out in a cage for an hour either waiting to be groomed or afterwards! Pricey too comparatively. read more

let's start out that my dog is 15yrs old and blind and deaf. The groomer (young lady) put my dog on the table and put the choke harness on her head and walked away to get her tools from the cabinet. My dog moved and fell over the edge of the table and was being held up by the choke harness. She was right there to grab her right away and put her back. As far as I know nothing bad has happened to her but maybe her throat was hurt from it? I don't know. what I do know is that should have never happened to begin with and now I will NEVER go back. I had been taking my Boys here for quite a few years. Today I go to pick them up after a Grooming and got some SERIOUS Sticker Shock!! What used to be $95 each 6 months ago,is now....$115 each!!!! WTF!? No Pricing in the Shop to let Clientele know what they're being Charged! Seems a bit excessive...a $30 increase!!! I emailed them and got nothing but lip service! The prices!! ouch!! the first time I went, they couldn't give me an estimate, so okay. I used to bring my sheltie here a few years ago and it was reasonable, about $65 or so. No I have a mini aussie shepherd and a mini aussie shepherd/border collie. Both are medium size dogs (about 30-35) and short hair. Price was $95 each!!! They said I signed up for the deluxe - didnt' think I did but okay. so I tried again and selected what I thought was their basic groom. Again the bill was $95 each!! Yes they do a great job - but if I had known the cost - I would have gone somewhere else. read more

I really don't like writing bad reviews, especially of places that I've previously written good reviews, but... Our first visit to Canine Devine went really really well. No stress, and no awful perfume smells. Imagine our disappointment when we had a second grooming and our dog came home absolutely reeking of perfume. As we searched our home for a product or process to remove the reek, and she has asthma so this is absolutely critical to address, I asked, "I've just payed $75 for this, why should I have to deal with it?". Next morning, I called CD and explained that my dog has a very strong perfume smell, which was met with "we don't use colognes here!", which seemed rather defensive and completely beside the point, which is my dog came home from your business smelling terrible. But OK, bring him back, she said. So I drop him off, he's there for an hour and a half, and he comes back still stinky, less stinky but still stinky. Do we know what happened, I ask the staffer, who rolls her eyes, shakes her head, makes a sound, and leaves me with the impression that we've been wasting their time. No one said "sorry for the inconvenience" or "we'd like to understand what happened", which are fairly basic customer service engagements. Oh, and the cut wasn't very good. Based on two visits, I'll say: there are a couple of really nice people working there, who do good work, and there are at least a couple of people working there who have poor customer service skills. And they may or may not leave your dog smelling like cheap perfume. For the money, that's just not what I'm looking for in a groomer. Today, I'll be cleaning up the haircut, and trying to get the smell off my dog. And researching dog groomers. read more

Had my Yorkie groomed today. He had plenty of mats and I was worried they would have to shave him. They got the mats out and he looks sooo handsome. He seemed very calm about the whole experience. Definitely will take him back when he needs a haircut again. Janice Paris read more

i have a mini Aussie Shepard (red merle) named Cali (ten months old). This was her second grooming appointment (January 27, 2922) and Kim S is her groomer. Cali looks amazing and Kim did such a beautiful job. Cali is kind of skittish around people but she loves Kim and loves going to the salon. I was worried about the blowdrying part but CalI was really good. if are looking for a groomer.. call Kim! The salon is very clean and tidy. read more

I live in Texas and once in a while have to bring my Yorkie to stay near Birch Bay. Canine Divine has groomed her twice to perfection! She is even happy when I come back to pick her up. Scheduled our American Dingo for a spa day, shampoo, nails, foot fur trim, ear cleaning and anal glands expressed (most important), an advertised package deal. Went to pick pet up and asked about anal gland expression, answer I got from counter person was, "... if it was needed, it was done", so I asked for a confirmation phone call back the next day as the groomer was already gone for the day, to confirm glands were expressed, and never received a return call. Pet has since self expressed her glands twice at home since visit. Unsatisfactory service. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Canine Divine's staff is professional, friendly and do great work. Our pups are shy around most people but feel right at home with staff. Our boys always get adorable bandanas with each visit and even received a red tennis ball (Christmastime) on their last visit. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely fantastic place. It's clear they love the animals. The shop is clean and the people are very welcoming. I have 4 misbehaving mini doxies that need to get bathed and groomed once a month and they handle them very well. They look amazing and smell good when they are done! So worth the drive out to Birch Bay. They took excellent care of my Maltese mix Perry. Not only did he look fabulous but he was dancing around with a big smile on his face when I picked him up.
