She actually was recomnded by our vet. The vet had nothing but the highest praise for Kim and it is well justified. We are often out of town and Kim is kind enough to board our dogs. I have gone to Kim for years, and while I had to go to Texas for a while it was impossible to find any shop that came close to the quality work Kim does, or the loving care she gives my two dogs. I have gone to Kim for over 20 yrs, and I'm a person not easily impressed...I have had my dogs when traveling or Kim was to busy to fit them in (my fault) and each time my only thought was "I wish I was back home so Kim could straighten out this mess". Now, no longer traveling ..going to Kim's and my having no concerns about how my dog will look (you can't believe some of the disasters I've seen on grooming my westie :( argggg) I get to drop Sophie off, knowing she's in good hands. My pup gets so excited about going to Kim's that the minute I turn on the road to Kim's place, she starts howling in joy ...she adores Kim. Kim has a silent communication with her "clients"...Sophie was just a baby when she did her and she was hyper and difficult for me to even bathe ..not so with Kim. She settles in when she arrives for her "beauty appointment"...and I get a break (just like a mother who drops her child off at school!) and get to go to lunch or shopping without her hitting all the electric windows and door locks as she runs from window to window...once locking me out when I stopped for gas). If you really want not only a great grooming experience for your dog but the confidence that you'll have no worries about their care...then I highly recommend Kim's grooming. My boarding experience at Kim's has been equally excellent...not to mention her pricing is incredibly reasonable. I leave knowing that I have the peace of mind that she is safe and happy, which makes my trip more enjoyable. Obviously I highly recommend Kim Grooming A+++. I really needed to get his nails trimmed and the vet recommended Happy Pooch. I was able to make an appointment very easily. I had explained about Oscar's reactivity so she gave us an appointment at the end of the day when there wouldn't be a bunch of clients or dogs around. I brought Oscar in, and as predicted, he barked at Melissa and her assistant, Madelyn. Melissa was very very patient with Oscar, giving him treats and speaking to him calmly and gently. She knew exactly how to work with him!! She led us to a back room where it was quiet and we wouldn't encounter any other "triggers". She really took her time letting Oscar relax and we were eventually able to get his nails clipped with lots of treats and encouragement! I am so grateful for Melissa. She is very experienced and very kind! We bought a punchcard and Oscar will return for regular "PETicures"!

He also has one weird nail that curls under and grows into his paw pad and is very hard to cut. We usually do walk-in, and they have always been able to accommodate us within 10 minutes or so. This is the only place we have been that has successfully cut his nails (we don't drummel). Sometimes, we hold him while they cut the nails - or there is one lady there who takes him under her arm and does the whole thing herself while holding him (to my amazement each time).

From the start, they were fantastic--answered the phone, called me back, got me scheduled quickly, and even sent an email so I could include detailed instructions and photos. When I dropped him off, they truly listened to everything I said. They were happy to give him treats (which he loves, and it makes a huge difference), they Dremeled his nails exactly like I asked, and they were careful with his ears--he's sensitive to ear flushes, so I requested just water, and they followed that perfectly. I took my double-coated English Springer Spaniel in to be groomed, and they shaved her entire coat…read more When I made the appointment, I specifically asked if they were able to do breed-specific ESS grooming, and I was assured they could. When I dropped her off, I also made it clear that she should not be body-clipped and that I only wanted her feathering trimmed. After the appointment, I called to understand what happened and how this miscommunication occurred. Alison was very apologetic and explained that the receptionist's notes said to do a 1/2" trim all over. If there was any confusion about those notes, I wish the groomer had called me before starting to confirm that I actually wanted my dog shaved. City Dogs did issue a refund, but I'm extremely disappointed, and now there's a real possibility that my dog's coat will not grow back correctly.

Then we found Hyline!! She was at Hyline for over a week on the first visit and did fine. No raw nose when we picked her up. She had a private "room" and I paid a little extra for one-on-one attention (tuck-in service!! What!!), and a peanut butter-filled Kong once daily. They sent us photos and updates. She even ate while she was there! Second visit was good, too. She didn't even hang back when it came time to leave her, just went along to her kennel. Pretty surprising, for her! The place is clean and well-kept. They do doggie daycare, too. We appreciated the good service and care for our good old girl!
