I booked a Groupon $88 couples massage, regular $145, online. The facility is extremely clean, well kept, and very nice. We arrived early and they didn't mind performing the service early. The ladies were very professional, the room was nicely decorated, heat pads under the blankets. The music was relaxing and at a good level. The ladies used hot towels on our feet, massaged us full body using lavender lotion. This was an amazing service for $88. I tipped 20% on the regular price of $145. Tax was $4.25. I read some mixed reviews of this place on some other websites so I was a bit hesitant. I had wanted a couple's massage so I had to find somewhere new and it was one of the places that popped up in my searches with the added bonus that it was in canmore which could make a nice day trip. I decided to go for it as the prices aren't too bad and the good reviews were still good. the spa is in a strip mall and the ambiance is very similar to some of the other nicer strip mall spas I've been ton. Not the nicest spa around but also not the price structure of one of those spas. The staff was nice, we got early and they got us in early to boot. The couple's room is not what I pictured from TV (I've never had one before) but it was just two treatment rooms with the curtain opened. so we were only kind of in the same room. I do imagine the rooms is strange when you aren't in a couple's massage as there is just a curtain between you and someone else unless i'm missing something else about the room to add privacy. The massage was very eclectic - there was a mix of regular massages, use of hot rocks at times and some shiatsu. A mixture that was quite nice and yet I've never had in combo before. Ugh. My husband and I were here a year or two ago and loved the couples massage offered, so we booked a weekend in Canmore for our first anniversary. This was what we were most looking forward to. I spoke to Meghan on the phone a couple of times this week, playing telephone tag a bit to set up an appointment time, and spoke to someone else to book the appointment. I asked the person booking the appointment to specify the services. She confirmed the 90 minutes couples massage and took my credit card number. Arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment and was asked what we were there for, as there was only a 15 minute blocked off time and one MT. I was stunned, as I had taken extra care to confirm our appointment. The MT at reception offered no consolation other than a 15-minute solo massage or to rebook another weekend. Hardly appropriate. Amazing Micro-Blading & Facial Over thirty years of my life you have never been able to see my eyebrows. I am a blonde and it has always been frustrating. In November Deb told me about a technique called micro-blading and she said that she thought I would be a perfect candidate. So now after having my first two appointments complete my self esteem has improved and I have been receiving my compliments on my gorgeous blue eyes. I made 2 appointments for massages for my wife and I and both appointments were cancelled on the day of the appointments. I made a third appointment for us a week later and when I arrived nobody was there. We waited 15 minutes before leaving and sent a text to the person who cancelled the previous 2 appointments and also left a telephone message. They did not even bother cancelling the third appointment or contacting us. We were in Canmore on vacation and planned three different days around the massage, and it never happened. I normally get spa packages for my wife to go to and get away but I saw the couples package and thought it might be nice to do this together. It was two adjoined rooms that we were in, but the ambiance was nice. I had Kelly and my wife had Jale. While I feel that sometimes the person giving me the massage is watching the clock I felt that Kelly was really a girl on a mission and it was an experience I've never had before. She did lots of different techniques in the spa and in 90 minutes I got a light exfoliation, hot stones, a mask and a nice massage. It didn't seem hurried (which is really important to me) and I felt really relaxed and was ready for a nap afterwards :) My wife gave me that happy look afterwards and just said "Wow, that was verrrry nice!". Knowing that she can be particular about her spa's that was high praise indeed. I'd recommend asking for Kelly to ensure you get a special experience. I asked my wife if she'd recommend Jale and she said "Oh yes, can we clone her and take her home?" This place deserved the 5 star rating. We'll be back again next time we're at Canmore. read more

Today I indulged in the Spa Experience at the Canmore Spa & Hair Salon and was thoroughly impressed. Debbie was my masseuse and she was simply incredible. She didn't miss a single part of my body and is constantly asking whether to adjust the pressure to suit your preference. The middle of this experience included a facial - this being the first facial I've ever had. I couldn't believe how relaxing this was, Debbie was so gentle and careful with her hands and there were numerous treatments with the final mask smelling like a lovely lemon honey. Extremely disappointing customer service. I tried booking services weeks in advance before my visit to Canmore, only to be met with little to no interest in accommodating my requests. Since I was informed they had no availability for the first date I requested, I suggested another. While my first email was responded to within 24 hrs, I had to reply three times to get another response to my inquiry about availability of a secondary date. When I finally did receive a response, again they told me they had no availability, but for a date I didn't even request? No offers of dates that they did have available, just a generic 'sorry, we don't have any appointments'. I used to live in Canmore, and this is not at all the type of service that I would have expected from a local establishment. I wanted to treat my loved one (and myself) to a romantic, relaxing filled day at the spa, during our getaway from the west coast. I was in Canmore on a bridal shower/stagette trip the weekend of June 14-16, 2019 and while the other girls went on a hike I booked a 50 min massage here. The massage itself was great. However when it was time to pay I was told it was $105. I questioned her because their website says a 50 min massage is $68 plus tax. She said they had just increased prices. I was not thrilled with the answer but paid the $105 plus gave a $20 tip. On my walk back to the hotel there was a sign in the walkway (around the corner from the spa. I believe​ by the travel agent door) that had a special for a 50 min massage for $59. I did not have time to go back as our group​ had dinner reservations. I emailed them with no response and now almost a week later have not gotten a response and they have conveniently​ updated the pricing on the website. I wont go back read more

I recently purchased a Groupon for a 50-Minute Couples Massage with Canmore Spa and Hair. We booked an appointment on-line and phoned and spoke with John Leask the owner of the company to confirm the appointment. Our first appointment was scheduled for a Thursday afternoon. My husband took the day off work to attend this appointment, as we live in Calgary. I received an email the morning of our appointment advising me that our appointment had been cancelled! When I spoke with John later that morning he said that someone had phoned in sick and that he was very sorry. We re-booked our appointment for the following Tuesday. John was very generous and offered us an hour and a half massage to make up for the cancellation. My husband again took a day off of work to head to Canmore the following Tuesday. Once again the morning of our scheduled appointment I received a voice message from John again cancelling our appointment!! I called him back a couple of times, leaving a message, however I never did receive a call back from him explaining why our appointment was cancelled for a second time! Luckily I was able to receive a full refund from Groupon for the amount we paid! I would not recommend this company as I have found them to be very unreliable and unprofessional!! read more

wish I could give this place no stars, but my boyfriend really enjoyed his massage.... half the girls that work there aren't even registered massage therapists.... I met a girl who got hired to work there and she told me that they only hire either Czech or Russian girls and give them only one day training and she told me that what they do during couple massages (what we got) they have an actual massage therapist and then the girl who doesn't know what she's doing just following along.... I had also told her that I recently got a massage their and the next day I was in so much pain I could barely move my neck and was sore for days and I told her which girl it was and she said that she was one of them who only had a one day training. My boyfriend on the other hand had an actual massage therapist and he really enjoyed his and felt amazing the next days. My two girlfriends also had massages by two different therapists. Afterwards, we were all raving about how much we loved it! Very relaxing and yet invigorating. I purchased this groupon hoping to surprise my boyfriend during an out of country trip to Canada. I attempted to call to make reservations after my purchase but only got a voicemail that recommended I make reservations online. there were no details on how to make reservations for two massage therapists for the couples massage. I decided to wait till we got to Canada and called numerous times. I only got the same voicemail. I left multiple messages. No one called me back. I finally had to tell my boyfriend about the surprise so we showed up on the only day we were available to use the voucher (Tuesday) the receptionist said they were booked for the day! We planned to leave the following day and she had no words of support. She said they have been without a receptionist for a week and were returning calls when they could. She said Monday they didn't have any reservations so they closed. The website said they were open with availability. I called and left several messages Monday. I called first thing Tuesday before we showed up unexpectedly and still no answer or returned call. Online it showed availability all day but when I attempted to make reservations it repeatedly read 'time unavailable'! The receptionist said only some of their therapists accept the groupon and that is why the online reservation didn't work. There was no information about those issues on the website. We have to drive 6 hours back home with no foreseeable ability to come back to use the Groupon I was looking forward to using! Horrible! read more
