Had a great experience at Cedar + Sage! I booked a couples' massage for my boyfriend and I on his boyfriend. We decided to add on the foot scrub + massage, hot stone massage, and some time in the red light sauna prior to our massage. The spa itself is very nice and relaxing. When you walk in you take off your shoes and put on a pair of slides. You then walk up a few steps into their large waiting area and see beautiful mountains through the windows. We were given water but they also have tea available. When we got into the room we would be getting the massage in we saw a cute personalized Happy Birthday sign for my boyfriend - much appreciated! :) We can Marc and Riz as our masseuses and they did an incredible job! My husband and I just had a 60 minute massage at Cedar and Sage. It was very disappointing and left us more uncomfortable than before we arrived. We asked for deep tissue and barely received any pressure. The reflexology was highly disappointing. They do not massage your feet just perform light finger presses on the bottom of your foot. Even after asking for additional deep pressure it did not feel relaxing or soothing at all. If I were you, I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

Called this spa by mistake meaning to call a different one to cancel my reservation. They "looked me up" found my reservation and canceled it. The next day when the right spa called to ask why we missed our appointment we realized our mistake and were concussed as to why Cedar and sage spa would confirm a cancellation to a reservation we never made. Desiree answered the phone and basically told us " you are the one that called the wrong spa" and didn't apologize at all for the misunderstanding. Weren't asking for anything but for an explanation and an apology. She laughed and hung up the phone. Can't speak to the massage as I never got one but the people who answer the phone are beyond rude. Boyfriend and I got the couples 60 min Grand Wetaskiwin package and weren't disappointed! We sat in the infrared sauna for 30 minutes, showered, and then had a great 60 minute massage! They use warm towels and a scented eye mask that smells amazing. We were both very pleased! Would def book again. read more

My husband and I did the couples massage...it was one of the best massages we've ever had. We each asked for the deep tissue and both our therapists did a great job. I do wish I remembered their names. The atmosphere is very peaceful even though it's in a mall and next to the main street. My only complaint was it was a bit noisy at times during the massage between the front desk noise and something that sounded like roof work. During our last full vacation day in Banff, after plenty of hiking, walking and biking, my sore / pregnant body was in dire need of a massage. I noticed several massage places during our daily walks but C & S was a hidden gem (discovered directly from Yelp reviews). In a whim, I called C & S around 5pm on a Wednesday and I was very grateful for a 5:45pm opening. Prior to booking the appointment, I mentioned my pregnancy and the receptionist confirmed that all of their massage therapists are licensed for prenatal care. The location was an easy 5min walk from my hotel (King Edward). Upon arrival, I was very impressed with the customer service and beautiful atmosphere / space. My massage therapist Kristian Wild was very attentive to my pregnancy and muscle soreness. I felt completely relaxed and after my session, my body felt "brand new." Good deep tissue full body massage although pricey but it is a resort town. Was surprised after advising I was biking for 5 days, given it was a full body massage, that it didn't include massaging my sore biking shoe and pedaling feet. I should have spoken up but I thought it would be, as it usually is, the last part of the body massaged and by then was advised my time was up. Rae was spectacular. She is very knowledgeable. I would recommended heated beds for this price massage and for the cold Banff weather. Also my massage got moved from 4 to 4:30 without my approval.
