Myself and my family in the past year an a half built 4 homes in Manners of Magnolia subdivision. All of us have had horrible experiences with this builder. Myself and my brother had our walkouts flood with sewage water. And my mom's basement flooded several times with sewage water. All Cannons fault!!! We are still waiting on a $30,000 deck we had Cannon built which is separating and lifting (safety hazard). Which has been now almost a year of fighting with them. And this is only scratching the surface of the problems all of us have experienced. I would highly recommend not going with Cannon for your new home. read more

I am so sad over what I thought was going to be our forever home. There are so many problems with our house. Broken cabinets, baseboards. Most of the floors are uneven and creak. There are soft spots in the floor. There is hardly any heat coming from the registers. There was not enough insulation when we moved in. The front sidewalk is cracked, noted on final walk through. They were supposed to come back and replace the warped pantry door. There are 2x4's in the garage that are warped and bending. The paint and caulking in this house is laughable. We are paying out of pocket to have it completely re-done. I am also replacing an uneven and mis-matched shower door. I was told by the installer that the wall in the bathroom is not level, hence the shower door will never close correctly. Very disappointed that nobody from Cannon or the warranty company will call me back. I think we have been very nice and patient, so not sure why I need to be ignored over a 400k house. New Construction Build with contract written in Nov 2020- Promised completion date of June and finally completed in September 2021. While we understand the building material shortages that occurred during the pandemic-- The Cannon Building reps repeatedly LIED and misrepresented themselves. Their Dream Team marketing ladies Promised that new construction homes are built in order of contracts received-- Huge Lie. Numerous homes were built in front of ours-- Our building materials were dumped on our building lot and simply sat in the weather for Months and turned brown, started to warp, and swell in the rain & temps. Cannon then told us that only a special crew of builders could build our home-- another lie. We documented numerous lies in writing and contradictory information. Upon confrontation-- we were treated poorly, lied to again, and then they tried to force us to release our contract-- One of the lead Builder reps told us that Cannon wanted us to RELEASE our contract so they could mark UP the price and sell for higher as the real estate market values increased and Cannon could sell for $40k more. We spoke to the builders directly at the property and they even confirmed that the 2 sales reps (dream team) were widely known as telling fabrications and that their job was simply to get contracts regardless of building material constraints, labor issues, or timing. What should have been an exciting event in our lives-- we had to endure a NIGHTMARE of lies, deceit, and manipulation of Cannon Builders. At the very end-- our lender required a HUD certification of our home via an Engineer or Architect-- No Shock-- Cannon does NOT have an Engineer or an Architect in their company and we had to hire our own to certify this new construction build. A builder that does NOT use an Engineer or Architect in their practice is simply wrong-- we were too far down the rabbit hole to back out. Strongly advise that you do NOT use Cannon Builders at all and Avoid their Dream Team at all cost-- their pretty faces will get you a knife in the back. Buyer Beware! read more

I am blocked from reviewing on their Facebook page!!! Which I don't understand except they did a lot of things wrong to us. I have waited to leave a review because I was very angry with them. First I would like to say that all things happen for a reason and now I am part of an amazing community in Wentzville. Make sure you look at plot plans as we were not informed about a major pipeline running through the backyard. To the point where we wouldn't even be able to fence most of our yard. The Second issue is to check for mold when you have Cannon build your homes. Which they will try and convince you it will be ok. I am so happy these issues came about prior to moving into our "dream home" and we were able to back out of our contract. Holli was great to work with an unfortunately I don't think she knows all he things that go on behind her back. If you decide to build with Cannon make sure you stop by your house often during the building process and do extra research. read more

Please do not go with Cannon to build your home. I have to repair 17 cracks in my foundation (their 2-10 warranty is a joke), I've treated for termites 3 times because of left over lumber buried all over my yard. My neighbor moved in 8 months ago and he's still waiting for Cannon to come and grate his yard. Very poor construction for a very overpriced home. read more

Had I known the issues I would have in building my dream home with cannon I would have never done it. During the building process I was given time frames to let flooring contractor and granite contractor know when to be there to do their work. As they showed up to do work the house was not ready for them so they had to make special accommendations to come back and get work done. We were given Aug 19th date to closed but push back and back and it wasn't due to weather. They came to me with a Aug 31 date which was not met either due to brick layers went MIA. What are kidding me!!! Finally closed September 11 with still work unfinished. The yard and grating is another issue I had and still fighting them about. Save you a lot of headaches and don't use Cannon Builders as your next home builder. read more

A Google User just now We are still very early in the building process and already regretting working with Cannon Builders. In our initial meeting, Holli was kind, helpful, and she answered our many questions. A major concern for us was having an open floor plan. We were told there would be a half wall at the top of our stairs and were offered to upgrade to wooden rails instead of drywall. This is written in the contract we signed along with the wood stain color they asked us to select for the top of the half wall. After writing a contract, we met with Shelly to go over options and much of what she discussed with us contradicted what Holli had shared with us prior to writing the contract. Weeks later walls went up and they clearly built a full wall at the top of the stairs, going against what was stated in the contract. They are saying they never said it would be a half wall and will not be changing it. We are no longer looking at the same floor plan as we were when we wrote the contract. We were misled about many of the options available, and once we were under contract Cannon Builder ignored our questions and concerns for 3 weeks or more. This along with other issues has lead us to loose faith in Cannon building the home we thought we were purchasing. read more
