I really like that the Florida Turnpike has service plazas with easy exits and entrances. They don't take you far off your route, so it's quick to stop and just as easy to get back on the highway, which makes road trips much more convenient. I stopped at this location because I needed a pick me up and saw there was a Dunkin. There was plenty of parking, and the location was easy to access. The only thing I didn't like was the ordering process. When I went inside, I thought you had to order from the kiosk because no one greeted me or explained the process. Since it was my first time at this location, I used the kiosk. Unfortunately, you can't use the Dunkin Rewards app when ordering that way, so I wasn't able to earn points on my purchase, which was disappointing. I ordered an iced coffee for about $7, and it didn't take long to be prepared. My name was called at the pickup counter when it was ready, and my order was correct. Since I was on a road trip, I also used the restrooms. They were clean and well maintained, which is always something I appreciate during long drives. This is a convenient stop on the Florida Turnpike. It's easy to get in and out, has plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and is a great place to grab a coffee or a quick bite before getting back on the road. read more

The Canoe Creek Service Plaza on the Florida Turnpike is basically the definition of "stopping because you have no other option." The selection inside is mediocre at best. Nothing about it feels particularly stocked, interesting, or worth browsing. Grab what you need and keep moving. The food from Nathan's somehow manages to be less than average, which is impressive considering highway rest stop expectations are already pretty low. The bathrooms also consistently look like they are one missed shift away from becoming a health department documentary. Not catastrophic, but definitely not clean enough to inspire confidence. This place serves a purpose and that purpose is existing between exits. That's about the nicest thing I can say. Two stars. read more

Love the accessibility of this plaza but did not have the best experience when it comes to food. My Wendy's order took pretty long and I saw an employee pick something off of the ground, then pack my fries without washing her hands. I also ordered hummus and pretzels from the convivence shopping section of the plaza. When I got in the car to eat it once back the road the liner was ripped and the hummus was rotten. read more

An overall good service plaza, there is a nice variety of things that you can shop for while you are here. I usually stop here to stretch my legs or grab a snack/drink for the rest of my drive home when I am traveling. My go-to when I am here is the Dunkin donuts because they always seem to be the best iced coffee from here. I will say the line tends to be insane so if you can, what I do, is I order from the touchscreen kiosk, go to the bathroom and by the time I am done, my drink is ready. The location is rather clean in terms of the main area however the bathroom for the men is always dirty and smelly. There is always toilet paper on the floor and the odor that never leaves. Staff is friendly and will wipe a seat of and wave you over if you are looking for somewhere to sit and eat if you want to take a break from the car. Prices in the snack shop area are a little high but that is to be expected at a rest stop like this. read more

I'm very impressed with them all in this state as I have driven from Seattle to Miami and stopped at various rest stops and they were disappointing to say the least. Dark, dingy, and scary at night. Here, everything was well lit and safe. They have nice little stores for food, clothing, and gas. Your dog and you will love to walk around because the lawns are well maintained. It's a small service station but well-stocked. There's a Wendy's, Dunkin' Doughnuts, Villa Italian Kitchen, Auntie Ann's, and a Nature's Table, if you want a healthier option while on the road. There's a small charging station where you can sit and eat your food whilst you charge your phone. There's no USB nor USB-C plugs so make sure you bring your cube with you. None of the food-ordering kiosks were functioning, yet the restaurants were technically "open," with staff acting as though they were operating normally. Service was extremely slow and disorganized. It was obvious the plaza was severely understaffed for a busy Sunday, when traffic and demand are at their peak. The employees appeared to be trying their best, but the situation was unmanageable and frustrating for customers. Because this is the only stop available for travelers along this stretch of the Turnpike, the lack of preparation and staffing is unacceptable. Florida does a great job promoting its coastlines, but the experience for travelers in between is clearly not a priority. This location needs serious attention and improvement. read more

Not my preferred rest stop on the Turnpike, but it will do. We stopped here for some food. It seems everyone and their mother had the same idea as everything was legitimately packed. Fortunately they've begun to have kiosks where you can order, and this, my friends, is admittedly faster than making the line to order. At least it was for Wendy's. I only wish they'd have a kiosk for the bathroom. Now that one was one that unfortunately I had to wait a while for, but it is what it is. My second turnpike service plaza on this trip and this was also quite poor. Most people stop here for the restroom and this needed attention. Water on the floors and being tracked out into the dining area is a concern. This needs to be cleaned up! They do have a free wifi here and it's free. I found it too slow to do anything more than Yelp checkin and then update my map. Dunkin and Wendy's here have kiosk ordering which is helpful so that you don't have to stand in queue and bunch up. Prices are high, enough so that it's almost worth getting off the Turnpike to find a local outlet. I get that they need to make a profit but taking advantage of a semi-captive audience isn't right. This is a standard fueling station along the highway with a convenience store just about a few miles outside of the Orlando area along the Florida Turnpike. Fueling was simple and spacious and the inside was clean and the personnel was friendly. The coffee was delicious and much needed before we took off for our morning visits to the theme parks. Getting into and out of the facility was also easy because the signage was well placed and easy to understand. read more

We stopped here to use the bathroom and do a quick charge on the rental Tesla. We were in and out quickly and just wish the Charging Station was a little closer to the door. It would suck in the rain or on a cold day. The men's room has the most amazing splash protector, which men would appreciate. It's not the same as "sonic ice" in a trough, but it controls the splash back nicely. It's a real problem for men, and this service plaza provides a solution! read more

We stopped here to grab some coffee and use the restrooms. We saw signs for food like Nathan's that were at this rest stop and were hungry. We did not have high hopes though because it was late and figured most restaurants would be closed. I went inside while hubs walked the dog. I was gazing around briefly while walking to the restroom and the only place that was open was Dunkin. The women's restroom was massive. There were so many stalls and sinks to use. There was only one other woman in there doing something at the sinks/mirrors and it was kind of cluttered with housekeeping supplies in several places but no one attending to it. It was strange because there were those industrial sized paper towel rolls but no holders for them to be placed in. After my adventure in the bathroom, I made my way to the Dunkin but then realized I had to order from a kiosk. So there were 6 kiosks but only one working so there was a line up of people. Everyone took at least 3 minutes so that was annoying. The screen was also being really difficult to maneuver but the ordering process gave a lot of variations to take your coffee. I ordered, received my ticket, and headed back to the car do hubs could use the restroom and pick up our coffees. The parking lot is kind of odd in the sense of one way lanes and cars being blocked from driving directly in front of the entrance to the inside stores. It is also not well lit in my opinion. When I saw this service plaza and observed it was small, compared to others, and also looked quite new, I thought I must stop there. When I realized that Marqus R wrote a review and Sue B posted numerous photos, my decision was firm. Any service plaza good enough for Marqus and Sue was worthy of my presence. Immaculate bathrooms. Small footprint, you don't feel like you will get lost and forget which door you entered from. Lots of flyers in the info kiosk to tell you about places throughout Florida you didn't know existed and likely will never visit. A large Mickey Mouse sculpture is placed dead center as you enter and I guess reminds people that Mickey may not be physically there but he isn't far away. An interesting water feature adds a nice touch as well, and I heard a rumor that Sue B was considering having a replica placed in front of her hone entry plaza, as long as it could be made by Chihuly. I might get one in pink. Food, snacks, coffee, vending machines. Clean bathrooms. Easy in and out parking. Gas station. What else does a boy need? read more

This was the first Florida oasis I visited. I disliked this place heavily because of all the tourists that had packed this place which made it really really hard to find parking. We stopped by this service plaza on the way from Miami to Gainesville, and it was a pretty good experience. Unlike other service plazas, this one is fully equipped with gas stations, fast food restaurants, bathrooms, and souvenir shops. While one of my friends got gas, we walked over to the restaurant area and used the bathroom, as well as purchased coffee. Although the plaza was relatively busy, the bathrooms are very clean and spacious; I didn't have to wait in line or check multiple stalls. The restaurants served items from burgers to smoothies, so it's there's a nice variety to suit everyone that you're traveling with. For a rest stop, this went above and beyond my expectations. read more

Stopped there Oct 21 and went to Dunkin Donuts. Terrible service! I ordered chicken sandwich-no cheese. I saw a woman (supervisor Clarissa) prepare it with cheese but thought it might be for someone else. She brought it over and as I was telling her that it is wrong she blurts out "well I don't know what other chicken there is..there is only one" as she walked away. She would not come back to address my problem. Just kept mumbling and would not give me her name. I got her name from an employee. The order was written correct but she ignored it. Then she stood there arrogantly and mumbled. I told her I was going to complain to corporate and she said "ooooh I'm scared" hey Dunkin/Inspire brands...how do you hire such incompetent and arrogant people to a supervisory role??? Turnpike service plazas all pretty much hit me as being blah. All rather typical belly filler fast foods or vending machines ranging from downright horrid to the merely passable. But of the passable, Canoe Creek Service Plaza is one of the better. It's new, spotlessly clean and has some halfway decent interior décor. Matter of fact it's very much like a shopping mall food court and has far more food choice offerings than do most. So when I have a choice of which service plaza to stop in at, Canoe Creek Service Plaza would be a number one on my list as compared to the others. read more

Just terrible. Couldn't be any worse unless it was a convenience store. Junk fast food from national franchises, but worse than any other location. And, twice the price. Shame on the franchises for allowing them to crap up the food. Shame on the state of Florida for taking advantage of the traveling public with rio-off high prices. Perhaps the Governor should be required to eat here once a month? Perhaps the CEO's of the big name franchises should be required to take their entire families to eat her once a month? Great rest stop on the Florida Turnpike. Apparently it has been renovated so am glad I got to experience it when it was. Gas prices weren't bad but since I had enough gas, didn't need to fill up. Bathrooms were clean and you can get healthy or not so healthy fast food. There is also an area for picnickers and an area to walk your pets. We basically just needed to use the bathroom, but it's good to know this is on the way whenever we make a road trip back this way. read more

I don't usually go out of my way to give reviews. I created a Yelp account just to share how much I regret stopping at this specific rest stop. As I'm in line with my sister, 2 employees bluntly cut in front of us & laughed about it. We didn't really mind because that just showed what type of people they are. A Wendy's employee was very rude & not welcoming at all, she was very unpleasant. A Dunkin' Donuts employee was also extremely rude. This location needs to do better when hiring workers. It isn't cool to be mean, I'd think adults would know better. read more

I usually make it to this service plaza to refuel as I'm heading up north. A bit more limited on options but nonetheless very well-equipped, Canoe Creek Plaza is the perfect rest stop for a quick purchase, refuel, or just a quick stretch. Located in St. Cloud, it's the last stop before you hit Orlando heading north. While the food options might be less than what you expected, the short lines make up for the lack of variety. Plus, I'm a fan of the healthy spot in the corner although it's hard to order a Quinoa Wrap as the scent of fries fill the air. The bathrooms are very spacious and the gas station located in the end of the lot is always well-lit and economically priced. Located right off the Florida Turnpike, this quick and easy rest stop is perfect for the brief break you need. read more
