I put her in the car right away, she smelled so bad she stunk like dirty, wet socks.!! I put her in the backseat... a couple of blocks later I pull over because she's crying. I look at the seat and there is blood her 4 nails were bleeding!!!! I came in to show the front desk girl Natalie the pictures and she is acting super defensive and saying they put Quick stop I asked why didn't you mention it??? She said it happens all the time and there was no need to inform you. Instead of apologizing they are acting super rude looking at me as if I am the wrong one here. No pets should be going through this. They clearly cut it wrong three of her little nails were affected. Dogs hurt too. They have feelings, but it's gonna take a while for her to heal. Andrea was the unexperienced groomer clearly doesn't know what she's doing, Kate, and Natalie, where also rude and unprofessional. Please do not bring your dog here! I brought my dog to the daycare a couple of months ago in need of watching for the day and when I came to pick him up, his paws were burnt. At first, I noticed irritation when we got home and did not say anything as I thought it might just be red from scratches that may have happened at home. However, they started to blister and after visiting the vet, I found my German shepherd burnt his paws at the daycare. I tried calling but was left with no answer or response on multiple occasions. It is clear that these people do not take care of the dogs properly or take proper precautions to ensure the pups' safety. Thankfully, I have found another local pet resort that takes much better care of my dog and leaves me satisfied after every visit. This is my first review because of how poor the service was and hopefully, it will be my last. I just could not settle with the fact that these people who neglected my dog were unresponsive after multiple calls, and should be held accountable. read more

I've been bringing my dogs here for many years. I'm talking about 3 or 4 different dogs. Long-haired, short haired, they've always been great with the grooming. They even took in my dogs that weren't properly vaccinated. Never a problem. Now, I had never used their boarding services, but I had made a reservation for a week of boarding for my little senior citizen dog. He had just been there 3 or 4 weeks ago for a bath, but I needed to board him, so I got him the vaccinations he needed and I booked a week. Next thing I know I get a message from the manager, I believe her name is Kate, telling me that the owner doesn't want him to be there because he is too old and they didn't want the risk. Too frail maybe? I don't know. Possibly. Like I said, apparently, he wasn't too frail for a bath a month ago but now he is. I was just stunned by the hypocrisy. Again, they just bathed my boy a month ago, but now he's too old. I don't know. Perhaps they charge more for bigger dogs? My boy only weighs 10 lbs. It's just too bad that a regular customer can get treated that way. read more

I was initially happy to find this place. I used this place 2 times so far and can tell you I will definitely not be sending my dog back! The first time was for 2 days and when I picked up my boston terrier he had a raw scrotum. I chalked it up to it being hot because it was summer and treated it. Today I picked up my pup and his bottom side was extremely raw and oozing! It's not hot out and there is no excuse for this. What is upsetting is that we called several times to check on him and no one mentioned a thing about this. When we picked him up no one said anything. I boarded my dog in July here for a week. She is dog selective so we discussed her not having a temperament test and just being in her kennel and having one on one human time. When I picked her up she looked happy and they staff spoke highly of her. It's really hard to board a dog that isn't social but the staff there were really accommodating. So... I've been debating on whether or not to post this since April because everyone here was always so sweet. We've left our dog here several times for both daycare and boarding. We recently moved and I was very excited because it's about .5 miles away now. However, I will never bring my baby back here again. Every time we've left her for a day, she has come back with small blisters and I noticed her limping for about a day after each time. I'm a very forgiving person and give the benefit of doubt more than I should. After reading the mgmt's responses to others with the same issue, I was like "okay, maybe she just plays really hard" which I know she does. So I kept taking her back. ***This time was different. I left her for 1.5 days and she came back with about 1/2 of the larger part of her paw peeling completely off and several other smaller blisters on all other paws. I had to CARRY HER UP/DOWN 3 FLOORS OF STAIRS for 5-7 days because she physically COULD NOT WALK to go potty. I poured her food in front of her face for days/brought water to her because she didn't want to go through the pain of getting up to go eat/drink. I felt absolutely terrible. (See photos) I do not give one crap what your excuse is. It is exactly that, an excuse. We leave our pets here under your supervision and care. It is YOUR responsibility during that time to ensure that our babies are taken care of. If you continue to get the same bad reviews for the same reason over and over, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Change the flooring to something softer/cooler, keep them inside more often, whatever it takes. PAY MORE ATTENTION. If you notice a dog is playing extensively, check their paws! It is an excuse. Ps: I can honestly say that out of all the times I have checked the cameras when my dog was staying, I have seen them inside only once. read more

I highly recommend the groomer Vanessa who takes care of my beloved long haired dog Margaret. They are always so nice leave my dog looking absolutely perfect! The few times I've gone somewhere else it was because I couldn't get an appointment soon enough and when I go elsewhere my dog's groom is never as good as Vanessa at Canoga Pet Resort does it! 5 stars all the way! My only suggestion is to book in advance because they are busy and I usually can't get same day appointments (but I think that says something positive about the demand for their services) read more

Pretty convenient groomers. Took my senior bichon gal to get a good grooming and came out looking dashing. I was kinda nervous taking her to a new place since her old groomers got shut down due to the pandemic. Will definitely bring her back for her next grooming. They were really friendly and very informative about what they were doing. My dog has really bad skin issues when her hair grows out, luckily her groomer was able to give her a good clean-up without leaving her uncomfortable. Big Thanks. read more

It was our first vacation away from our rescue dog Riley. When I first got there they walked me through the facility and showed me where she would stay and play. They reassured me that she would be walked and played with a few times a day. When I came to get her she seemed fine after spending 3 nights here. I called in once a day to ask that they place her in a play yard so I could see her on the puppy cam briefly and they accomdated my request. I decided to try this place out after I brought the Groupon deal. I had just gotten a puppy and wanted him to socialize. Overall the place was average, it looks like it's family owned; which I'm fine with as long as the service is good. When I had brought my dog before he would always come home tired and it was nice to see him on the puppy cams when I was at work. It has been hot in the past and I would never see any blisters on him after pick up. I stopped bringing him because he got neutered and I wanted to give him time to heal. I checked him in after 9 and picked him up before 4pm. I didn't get a chance to check on him during the day because I was at work however my sister was watching him on the puppy cams and noticed he had STILL been outside at 3pm. Do you know how hot it is in the valley at 3pm? Over 90 degrees. All of the dogs were on flaming hot pavement. I picked him up to find blisters on all four of his paws. I called the resort to try and get an explanation and they blamed it on the small rubber mats they have scattered around the play yard. Saying that it was friction from running around on them and that sometimes her dogs get that too. I'm sorry but, my dog has ran on all types of flooring and I have never seen blisters this bad. This is due to leaving the dogs outside on the hot pavement. The WORST part was that she said there was shade..... there was barely any shade and any normal person would know that shade doesn't do a thing if it's scorching hot out. He should have been brought inside to prevent this. Moral of the story, if you want all your dogs paws to be burned off this is the best place for you. If you have no other options to bring your dog here make sure it's on a cool day because they will be left outside all day. Never again. read more

My dog had calloused elbows before but they were not raw like in the pics. He smelled so bad we had to take him straight for a bath and he was only there for 2 days. He was shaking when I tried to look at his paw and is limping. I reached out to them privately to bring this to their attention and they didn't have the courtesy to respond. Beware! We love Canoga Pet Resort for grooming and boarding. We have a small rescue (vet thinks he is a yorkie-poo) He is skiddish and sometimes doesn't do well with other people or dogs. He does GREAT here. The groomer is absolutely amazing and always does exactly what we ask and we've never had an issue when he's been boarded. As a matter of fact, I've been able to watch him on the live doggy cams while we're away, and that always sets our minds at ease. Lastly, the staff is always kind, courteous and smiling. read more

And for 21/2 days I was trying to see them on video , but nothing , Finally called them on day 3 , and they told me that my dogs were not friendly,and they were barking ,, that's why they're in the kennel . I told them that I will report them and that they are animal abuses . Can't believe that they kept my dogs in the kennel for 21/2 days . I love bringing my dog Louie he I adopted him from Canoga pet resort when he was about 5 months old and I've been bringing him to daycare ever since the staff is always so friendly and they are amazing with dogs especially the trainers!
