I don't know about 1 bad review here but Canosmagic made my son's first bday a real happy bday, very festive not only to kids but to adults as well. It was all worth for the price he quoted us. We took the dream package that has popcorn cotton candie n snow cones with d Mickey mascot.. kids had a blast.. Canosmagic was awesome! Booked him for my niece's birthday last month.We got the popcorn, cotton candy, snow cone machine and even a bounce house at a very very reasonable price. He's a one man show, performing for my group of about 20 hyper sugar- induced kids was no magic for him. Cano is also very reliable, confirming every detail we had planned. And on the day, he arrived to the party earlier than we anticipated him to, made planning this event a piece of cake. Richard is awesome! I was planning my son's 2 yr old bday party. The clown I booked would not return my calls (after a $25 deposit), he would only email. Hence I was not confident he would even show up for the party. I called Richard on a Sunday , he answered the phone. I booked him. He called me the day before the party to confirm details. He showed up at least 15 min early. He entertained 12 kids (age 2- 5 yrs old). He brought 2 live doves for magic show and made balloon animals . Everyone had a great time! read more

I hired a strolling magician for a black tie fundraising event (May 2015) through Canosmagic. The magician, Richard Power, was reasonably priced and exceptionally talented. He interacted well with the event attendees while preforming strolling magic at both the cocktail reception and dinner. I especially appreciated the fact that he showed up early, needed virtually no supervision, and was thoroughly professional in all aspects of his performance. Just outstanding! I have recently hosted a birthday party for my 7 year old daughter and invited Richard to perform a magic show for the kids. In addition to what previous reviewers mentioned, I want to note how well he handled a crowd of 20 kids and completely grabbed their attention. Very pleasant and professional, as well as reasonably priced. Kids enjoyed the magic show with live doves and received a balloon creature of their choice at the end. Canosmagic is the best service I've ever used. They bought the whole kitchen sink for my son's birthday party and it didn't break the bank. I really enjoyed the party and the magic show. My son loved the mickey mouse and spongebob squarepants characters. The clown was fun and very interactive with the kids. They loved the bunny and the doves. I was looking for entertainment for a 5 year old's birthday party. After researching various options we decided to book CanosMagic. From the very first communication Richard was responsive and professional. He always returned calls and emails within a few hours. On the day of the party his big van was outside the venue before we even arrived. He set up very quickly and as soon as all the kids were ready he began. Let me just say he kept 20 kids fully engaged for about 40 minutes - and that's saying something for some of the kids! He dealt really well with a few "hecklers" who weren't buying in to one of his tricks initially but he completely shocked them in to silence when they just couldn't figure out what he had done. It was hilarious to watch. In addition to all of the magic tricks he brought 2 doves and a rabbit and made everyone at least two balloon hats, animals, swords, crowns, etc.! I chose 1 star bc Yelp requires a star selection , but truthfully, 1 star is beyond generous. I booked Canosmagic for my sons communion. I received confirmation that they would arrive at 2pm. I was very excited to share the news with my son and based on the reviews, I was convinced they'd love it. Well, I was sadly disappointed and not to mention heartbroken that this place did not come through for my son. I called a missed number on my phone while at the party and it was a gentleman (not Richard Powers) saying he was running late and would be there in 15 minutes. Fine. 15, 20, 30 minutes pass and nothing. My husband calls him back as the children grow impatient. The man tells my husband his car stalled and if WE could leave our sons party to pick him off the parkway! I couldn't believe it. My husband told him to forget it and not bother coming anymore as an hour had already passed from the scheduled time of arrival. About 35 minutes later this man walks in to our party. I couldn't believe it. I've been disappointed by people before, but to get me like this the day of my sons communion during his actual party-when we are most vulnerable is beyond words. Richard did not have the decency to call or email me to tell me he was not even coming to the party but sending someone in his place, or reply to any of my emails the day of the event. Not even an apology for letting all of my children down. The party next door to ours felt so bad, their entertainer came over to make balloons for my kids which I was so grateful for! DO NOT fall for the positive Yelp reviews here, I did, and unfortunately we were sadly misled and disappointed. read more
