I've been wearing glasses and contact lenses for over 20 years . The expenses for contact lenses, disinfecting solution, moistening drops, and annual eye exams kept adding up year after year. It was time I get LASIK while I'm still young because it maximizes years of contacts-free living and saves money over time. I did extensive research on LASIK providers and chose Dr. Feinerman for four reasons: 1) He did successful ICL surgery for my wife and she's had 20/20 vision ever since 2) He takes care of you from A to Z: He personally does all consultations, eye surgeries, and follow-up visits 3) He has over 20 years of experience and was a Chair of Ophthalmology at Hoag 4) He has many known celebrity/influencer clients (one of them Kobe, RIP). At my consultation, his assistants did diagnostic tests on my eyes to determine my candidacy. Dr. Feinerman said I qualified for Wavelight Plus LASIK (as opposed to traditional). The difference is that Wavelight Plus has higher rates of achieving 20/20 vision or better, and improved night vision. Not everyone can qualify for this so I chose this one. On the day of my surgery, it was done at his vision center and took less than an hour. I chose classical music to play in the background. My eyes were disinfected and numbed with solution. I laid on the operating table as Dr. Feinerman did the procedure and talked with me every step of the way. It didn't hurt at all and I was surprised it was quick ~15 mins. The moment it was done, I could see clearly as if I was wearing contact lenses. I was given a home care kit to take home and follow the schedule of eye drops to ensure my eyes recover. The next day I came in for a follow-up, did some vision tests, and Dr. Feinerman said I now have 20/20 vision. That was less than 24 hours from surgery so I can only hope for even better than 20/20 soon. For those those of you who are tired of wearing glasses and contacts, I highly suggest you invest in yourself and get LASIK. If you qualify, stop by Dr. Feinerman's office and I promise you won't regret it. I'm glad I did!

I am so glad I did a ton of research on surgeons and procedures before deciding on Dr Liu for my…read moreupper and lower bleph. While a lot of plastic surgeons can do these, it was suggested to me to see an ocular specialist. I don't expect surgeons to be perfect but Dr Liu is about as close to that as you'll find. From the initial visit, you can tell how meticulous and knowledgeable she is. What I also appreciated and respected was her honesty, transparency and tastefulness. I had wanted an outcome that couldn't be achieved solely from addressing the eyelid tissue but because of my Asian heritage, I learned it was an eyebrow tissue issue that could only be addressed by also going into the eyebrow area. I am guessing there are surgeons who would have reassured me and told me what I wanted to hear that the scarring on the eyebrow area would be minimal and almost non visible. Dr Liu was upfront about the range of scarring possibilities and while optimistic, she gave a genuine and realistic response so that I could make the right decision for me. I wasn't looking for a transformational outcome but rather a return to a more naturally rejuvenated look. The 3 hr surgery went smoothly and Dr Liu came by afterwards to reassure me of that and that I am a bruiser and sweller which would have been very concerning ( because I looked like I got into a car accident) had Dr Liu not stated that my recovery should not be impacted by that. She couldn't have been more right. It was amazing how quickly I healed and how painless it was ( I never had to take a single pain med while doing EVERY post op care by the book). And I appreciated the Dr and the office staff so much for always responding to my nervous Nelly questions along the way. My husband is happy because I still look exactly like how he has always seen me and, I am grateful for being able to go makeupless without feeling as self conscious about the big bags underneath my eyes anymore. One last but not least comment is for the office staff. Jennifer in particular is very type A - just like I want her to be because 1) she was smart enough to schedule me at a top notch surgery center that was less expensive than the others 2) she walked through step by step my pre and post op prep and care instructions rather than just provide the "sheet" for me to interpret myself 3) she sent numerous well received reminders for all my appts so that I wouldn't forget 4) she responded to all my many texts quickly so i wouldn't worry.
