We just had a very bad experience. We came today Saturday 6/28 from Queens for my son's soccer tournament. We arrived at noon and at the gate were about 5 teenagers working the gate. Told us since we are not Nassau county residents we have to pay $10 cash. I did and he said go ahead. Didn't give me any receipt. After playing two games we advanced to finals which are at 6:30 pm so we had 3 hrs of free time. Decided to go to eat and cool down since it is a hot day. O the way out I pulled over and asked how are we gonna get back since we paid and didn't get any receipt. We were told by "supervisor" of the kids working there we have to pay again. His name was Eddie. I said why should I pay again since I already paid? He insisted, he said without a ticket we have to pay again. I said I didn't get a ticket and asked him how would I be able to get in without paying. He was rude and dismissive, interrupting me constantly. He basically told me conversation is over. Talked to me in a very rude manner. I asked for a manager to be called she came and to my utter disbelief she said they don't charge after 4 pm !!!!!! This guy Eddie could have said it right in the beginning since we were leaving at 3 pm. Instead he argued and created a very hostile situation for no reason. One way or another, the kid I paid $10 to probably just put it in his pocket without giving me a receipt. An awful experience with the staff, just awful! I will call on Monday the park office and also other authorities in Hicksville . read more

This park is huge. It has two turf fields, mini golf, a water park, driving range and more. We came for soccer tryouts in the off season and in the rain. Grounds were clean as were the bathrooms, however the bathroom door makes a horrendous sound when opened, the dryers don't work and there were no paper towels provided. Not great for a cold rainy day. I'm sure this park is very popular in peak season. read more

Cantiague Park has a real garden feel to it. I can see the caretakers take pride in their plants but, it also seems as if the budget isn't much. But they did great with what they've got and there are some beautifully maintained plants and trees. There is mini and regular sized golf available. I saw loads of benches and tables for picnics. There is also an ice-rink. To the back of the rink there are six basketball courts and three full courts with one entryway. There was a basket missing on my visit. Hopefully they'll sort this out before Summer Camp 2019. The signs around says no dogs but hey, look at that couple over there walking rover. Smh. Now you KNOW if the tables were turned I'd probably end up on social media. Dog Watch Dorothy would have surely called the cops on me. Smh again. If you're coming from the city, you'd need to get off at exit W2 W. I luuuurve this park and took many pics of their garden. The End. read more

I use to come here all the time when I was younger. My best friend worked here so we went to the pool a lot after closing, it definitely was fun. Fast forward to today and the park is still amazing. It clean and very well taken care of. It's also well light so safety shouldn't be a issue. I enjoyed walking through the park at night. During the day hours I played Tennis with my brother and his lady friend. I'm not a fan of tennis and definitely not good at it, but it was nice to run around. This is definitely a park I can goto more if I lived in the area. It still is everything I remembered and that says a lot. I recommend anyone that loves outdoors check it out for yourself. See if you want to leave after being there for 20 minutes. I'm setting up a tent now to spend then night here. (Just kidding.) read more

BE AWARE: There are NO operational water fountains. It is almost the end of June and 85 degrees outside. Very dangerous. Whomever runs this park should be ashamed. Too bad because it is nice place... But we have to leave because the kids are getting dehydrated. read more

This was my first time going to this pool. It was $25 for adults and $20 for kids doesn't matter the age. I went with my 2 sons 1 6years old And 1 4years old. I have never been to a worse pool. The kids are not allowed to wear any life vests whatsoever. There's no running, no jumping. There's no photos allowed. There's even certain clothing not allowed I've never seen this in my life. I couldn't manage holding both boys in the pool both not being allowed to wear life vests. Stayed for an hour and it felt like an eternity. Never again. They need to ease up a little read more

I think I have experienced all there is to experience at this park. As a child, my mother made sure to enroll me in every and any activity they had. I think this was because I spent my weekdays in the city during the 3 months of summer, and my weekends on lawn guyland. Point is, I was enrolled in everything, even if I sucked at it. The pool is nice. I remember when it was mainly one pool and no water slide. Now they have 2 (maybe 3?) pools and a huge slide. There's also a snack bar. Then there's the driving range, the handball courts, the baseketball courts, and baseball. I also did ice skating but I soon found out the Islanders practice there (not sure if they still do) and since I'm a Rangers fan, that ruined my outlook on skating at Cantiague real quick. read more

The park isn't big but it's nice and it serves its purpose. I walk the paths here to get some excersise and enjoy the outdoors. If you go around one consecutive loop it's about a mile or so I've been told. The grass is nice and theres some sporting fields. There is also a pool and mini waterpark but it's only at a discounted rate for residents. If you are not a resident of the area the admission price is pretty steep for such a small location. There is also a indoor skating ring and a golf course but I've never taken advantage of those either. There have picnic tables and grills for cooking. They do not allow dogs at this park. There is plenty of parking and overall it's pretty quiet here. It's probably noisiest near the kids playground which is also pretty cool with lots of activities. There's been some construction over the years but I think they are pretty much completed for the time being. The geese really love this place. They all hang out near the skating rink entrance. I once saw cute little baby geese here too. It was adorable! read more

I've been coming to Cantiague Park for a while now; I used to be a competitive figure skater, and when my normal rink shut down for a month during the summers to redo the ice, I'd come here to practice. I've been finding myself now coming here for other things, as I live really close by. I like to just walk around the picnic areas and the playground, run the baseball diamond and watch the tennis and handball players play ball. They also have an 18 hole golf course here (I haven't played it) as well as a driving range. Overall it's decently maintained, but I wouldn't use the outside bathrooms even if I had to go really badly. They look kinda nasty. read more

I felt compelled to come here just to rate this park that I've rediscovered. Great rehabilitation of an old park. The county has done a great job revitalizing the park from when I was a child. I'm not sure how much was intended to make this a hub for the Islanders (oops), but regardless, it completely surprised me and my low expectations going back. The new swim area has 2 giant fast slides, 2 diving boards, a perfect-sized kids pool (not just toddlers) and a huge main pool - the entire place is very clean except the bathrooms could use a little more lighting and new floors. The fields were also renewed and have a professional feel to them - much like Theodore Roosevelt Park in Oyster Bay. It gets quite a lot of cars (full lot) but the park is so big that it doesn't feel packed in any one area, even the swimming pool on a hot summer day (2 minute wait on the slides). My kids also play hockey at the rink and they've done a nice job in there also with a fresh coat of paint, better lighting, and new walkway to the locker rooms. The only thing I wish for now are sliding doors. Nice hidden gem. read more

This is a great family park. Not only is in walking distance from my family's home but its very large, has a lot of amenities, and is clean. It has basketball hoops, tennis and baseball courts. courts, children's playground, an ice skating rink, and golf holes! There are plenty of picnic tables to have bbqs and gatherings when the weather is nice. In the winter time, there is a nice hill that can be used as a slope to go snow tubing It's large enough to ride your bike through and the grounds are smooth to go rollerblading ... The park has a decent picnic area for bbq in close proximity to playgrounds, baseball field, handball station, and basketball court. The park was big and had a lot of different activities for our family to do. The down fall of the park was the waterpark. The staff was rude and snarky, and the price was very steep for those that did not leave in the county. I wouldn't mind paying $25 per person if there was something to do other than two pools and a water slide. This does not include the ten dollar Peking fee per car. Completely not worth the price. I would only come back for the picnic area, waterpark left more to be desired. read more

Today I wanted to go swimming in a pool with my kids. I was in the cantiague pool a few weeks ago in the morning and used the back entrance as usual for a person on a wheelchair. I have been using a wheelchair all my life and very often we are asked to enter from the back bc of wider doors. When I was there the first, my husband I went inside without a problem and he walked up to the front to pay the fee. The gates in the back were open and no one stopped us. Today however we went around 4:30 and went to the back door as the last time and the manager and her stuff refused to open the gate. Even after I saw one of her workers go in the gate with a key, they still refused to let me inside and kept telling us to go to the front entrance. Now I usually wouldn't mind, but going around on a wheelchair in a park this big is very difficult and I kept trying to explain through the gate that it is very hard for us to go around and asked her to let us in , we will pay inside. She completely disrespected me and my kids and just walked away screaming "go around". I have never felt such discrimination in my life. This manger should be trained in the way she speaks to people or even better yet, fired! I was with my two kids and they got to see a world that I wish they didn't see, where their mother who does everything with so much life, be treated like an animal behind a cage. read more

The most unhealthy attitude one can only encounter. Absolutely prejudges toward ethnicity and disrespectful attitude from all employes. Pools are dirty and filthy. Entrance price very expensive. This is a great family friendly park. There is a skating rink, swimming pool, mini golf, golfing range,batting cage, tennis court, basketball court, and various fields. The great thing about this park is that its not super big. Its more of a neighborhood park than compared to Eisenhower park. Note that some days/times you will have to pay a fee if you are not a Nassau county resident. You can easily avoid this by parking on the streets. Some days the parking field will fill up quickly due to many baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, and hockey teams playing on the fields. My friend & I were looking for a place to ice skate and we found this place. On the way here, it's very easy to miss if you didn't catch the sign that said Cantiague Park next right or left (depending on which direction you're coming from). Since we went on a weekday, the parking was beyond ample. The General Admission those whose who don't own a "Leisure Pass" is beyond insane! It was $20 per person just to get in, I was completely shocked at the high price, especially when compared to New York's prices. Skate Rentals were $5, which wasn't bad at all. It seemed that at the time, it was mostly kids with their parents skating around. Not sure of the school times on Long Island, but I did wonder why weren't they in school. The actual ice skating rink was a good decent side, although the ice was extremely rough, which made me wonder when was the last time it was cleaned/smoothed out. I peaked into the bathroom and noticed that the stall doors were missing the locking feature which obviously meant you can't lock the doors. The overall place was fine, but price, I would definitely not be coming here again. read more

Great little water park but if you want to watch your grandkids have fun it's an additional $20 just to sit there. My husband has a leisure pass so it's less expensive for him. So I get to sit outside. And don't try to take any pictures of your family having fun. A lifeguard will run over & stop you. I know $20 isn't a lot to some people but when your retired it is. they do charge $25 per adult and $20 per child. it is more expensive comparing with other pools nearby. i do not mind paying that it is not huge money but they did charge my 1 month old baby to enter the pool area. it is not about the money but "1 month old baby". i hope this review will be read by their management office. guys you have to reconsider your policy regarding baby's admission. and honestly $10 not even worth your place. go clean your bathrooms first and higher more friendly receptionists. read more
