We went on a colleagues suggestion. There really aren't any good Mexican restaurants in the area so we chose to give this place a try. I ordered a strawberry margarita. It was super sweet and super strong. It was weird. I waited for the ice to melt and dilute it before drinking it. The fresh chips along with salsa were very much welcome, though the salsa can be better. We ordered tacos, flautas and quesadilla. The chicken in the flautas and quesadilla was tasteless and shredded but overall the flautas were very nice with a nice crispy exterior and melted cheese inside. About the tacos - who melts cheese on top of tacos? The whole joy of a taco is to be able to enjoy the whole bunch of Mexican cheese which tastes best cold. my friend and I thought that was very weird. We also ordered the spicy guacamole dip with our chips, and that was disappointing. The fajita bowl it came in had a bunch of lettuce in the bottom, almost as if they were trying to dupe us by concealing the lettuce in the bottom. We had to fix the guacamole with some lime and hot sauce. The great thing is that they have a nice selection of in-home hot sauces on your table that you can use to spice up your food. Overall, I would come back here for the flautas or maybe some fried idc cream. read more

If you are a lover of latin cuisine you know this is not the place for you. Food tasted like can food. From the chips and salsa to the the rice and refried beans, all nasty. Service was horrible as well. You stand there forever to be seated and no one ever bothers to great you or offer you a table. Eventually you end up sitting yourself and wait for your cold chips and salsa. The only OK thing was the churros, that even though had a weird texture, it tasted pretty good. read more

This business must of changed hands. I moved away from the area almost a year ago. In town for an event so got excited to go to Dos Amigo's in Indialantic, which WAS the best in the area. I am extremely dissatisfied and I will never return to this restaurant. The ground beef in the tacos was pulverized and the quesadilla was a joke. The Original Dos, quesadilla filled the entire plate and what ever filling you got was robust and delicious. Place was clean, waiter was nice enough, kept calling us "partner," for whatever reason lol.. That being said, I was soo not impressed with my food, neither was my husband with his. We both agree that this not typical of what we had eaten before, and was the most "un-Mexican" food we've ever had. The salsa tasted out of a can, as did the refried beans. This is a great place! I enjoyed the queso dip and my entree. My daughter was craving Mexican and this place hit the spot. The staff are kind and attentive. The food delicious. My husband got the Voodoo Chicken and cleaned his plate. My daughter got the enchiladas and loved them. The serving size for the food make sense, you won't leave with a ton of take home boxes. Called in a to go order two days in a row. Both the Burrito and Cheeseburger were incredible! The new manager was extremely helpful as was the server (Catallina???). Good Mexican restaurant that serves chips and salsa with your drinks. The interior was cool and well decorated. We both ordered salads and they came well prepared with fresh vegetables and nicely spiced meat--I had steak, my husband prawns. I don't eat avocado so the sliced pieces went to my husband but he also had sour cream and guacamole. Since it wasn't lunch we didn't try out their margaritas but had ice tea and stella. We have eaten here several times during vacation and each visit has been a highly enjoyable. Rustic but comfortable seating, great service and excellent food in ample servings at very reasonable prices Today I had steak burrito special and my wife had a steak salad - see pictures. Ok I am writing another review for this place in Indialantic as it is under new ownership/management. Food was pretty much the same. They advertised any fajitas type for 16.00 which was consistent with prior prices. So I ordered chicken fajitas and they came looking good. I opened up my tortillas packet and there were only 2? Before you would get 4. I asked the waiter was 2 it. He said no that could not be right. He went inside for about 3 minutes and came back and said if you want more it would be an upcharge! Really are you kidding me. So their was enough fajita fixings for at least 4 oversized heaping fajitas and they want you to pay 2 bucks more so you can actually eat what they gave you! Whoever the new owner is he or she is a moron! A tactic like this will only piss off their customers! Used to go here once a month. It will be a long time before I go back if at all. Not good at all. The tortillas were not even warm. Salsa sucks. I don't think I've been to a worse Mexican restaurant. It's hard to screw up beans and rice but they managed to do that. Also the carne asadas or any mean really. We tried chicken and steak as well. Bad! Don't come here if you can avoid it. Salsa wasn't good. Like from a can. The guacamole was dark. I must not be the only one who feels this way since the bar is packed with people but the restaurant itself on a Friday night is empty. I wanted to try some Mexican food for lunch. So we stopped caring to try this place out. She has to get in you get chips and salsa. The chips was pretty standard and the salsa was a little thin and runny. It's kind of irritating when you put your chips in the salsa and don't get any salsa with you because it's too thin. The waitress was friendly and courteous. Inside looks nice. Looks like a typical Mexican place with the Mexican furniture and decorations. I ordered the two taco dinner with beef. And my wife ordered the rice bowl. The rice bowl was presented on a plate with read fried beans underneath. It looks kind of strange. Also the rice bowl was very runny and wet. I think it comes from the black beans they put in the top of the rice. In general I don't think the flavors were that fantastic. I went to Dos Amigos for the first time in many years and found it disappointing all the way around. When I arrived there was no hostess and servers walked right by me without offering to seat me. I finally grabbed a menu and seated myself on the patio. Once my server showed up, I asked if they had any Margaritas made with fresh lime juice and she responded they do not. She said they don't have a juicer and if I wanted a "Skinny Margarita" they could go light on the sour mix and add club soda. Yuck, that's not a Margarita! Since the Gold Margarita was on special for just $.99, I ordered it. A case of getting what you pay for, it was a tiny drink and not very good. The chips were OK but the salsa could have benefited from some Jalepeno or Serrano Peppers and fresh Cilantro. It tasted canned with no kick or flavor at all. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga and it was bland, bland, bland. The chicken filling should have been succulent, juicy and flavorful but it just tasted like boiled chicken. The dish was missing any trace of fresh ingredients, chili peppers or onion. Mostly it was just covered in a lot of cheese. Cantina Dos Amigos advertises their food as "California Mexican Food" which I think is an insult to both California and Mexican Food. read more
