It's great to not have to prepare lunches for work every week - this is a nice simple solution. I haven't tried their massage service yet but I'm looking forward to trying it - I also saw some recent posts about their circuit training which looks like a fun way to work out. Anyway, I've really loved everything I've tried so far and looking forward to seeing what they come out with next.

I work a 12 hour shift, and I don't often feel very motivated to make my own lunches for those days- but Thrive makes it easy! I just pack up a serving of whatever delicious food I ordered for the week. Unlike other meal services, where you have to prep your own food, Thrives meals come fully prepped and ready to be heated to eat. Another important factor in choosing thrive for me, is the fact that meals are brought to you in minimal environmentally friendly reusable packaging! No guilt about having twenty little plastic bags that go in the landfill, growing your carbon foot print. Thrive's meal containers are dishwasher safe, and you just return them when you get your next set of meals to be reused. Thrive also teams up with local farms to purchase organic seasonal produce. I hear they are working to expand their vegetarian options, and that nearly every meal option has a vegetarian version. If you're looking for a meal service that is local, environmentally friendly, and delicious, Thrive is the way to go.

Management also consistently lies about this fact. I have a pending court case with them. This is literally the biggest scam I have ever seen committed by a large company. For that reason and other factors, I canceled my membership, but I was charged for months afterwards. To keep this short, when I called to ask for a refund, the staff were friendly, but it ultimately is up to the manager, who is currently Josh, to issue a refund. Josh is very hard to reach - he's always "busy" (at least, that's what it feels like he instructs his staff to say). He made several false promises to me about my refund being on its way and when I asked him to send over documentation, he said "You don't believe me?" and he never sent over a single document. In the end, it took me 15 phone calls and 6 months to obtain my refund. His email is gm@crunchmadison.com but I wouldn't expect a response. Your best bet is to ask for him directly when you call or to physically stop in the gym and wait for him to come out of his office.

A few machines are like this, and this one has been like this for three or four months. This is unfortunate, because it's a great gym.

I've been a crossfitter since 2008. I've been to good affiliates, I've been to bad affiliates, and…read moreeverything in between. Crossfit 1847 is hands down the best box I have ever trained in. Matt, the owner and head coach, monitors each client's progress over time and never allows shenanigans in his gym (well, maybe the fun ones). Whether you are far from your prime and looking to get back in shape, or if you're an aspiring Froning, Matt has a place for you in his gym. Like any affiliate, the cost is higher than you will pay at a Gold's. However, you get what you pay for. Crossfit can be the most expensive gym membership you hold, or it can be the best personal training for your buck, bar none. When I started training there, I wasn't pressured to lay down the plastic, and as a result I was happy to do so when the time came. This ain't an ad kids, feel free to come in any given afternoon and you'll see me training there. Meet Matt and some of the other 1847 denizens, and jump in a workout when you're ready. You'll be glad you did.

I never though it would be for me but I am so glad that i finally gave it a try. After 6 months here I can say that I ahve never felt like I am in better shape. Plus the people here are all fantastic and supportive no matter what you fitness level is. Matt will work with you to learn what your fitness goals are and how to reach them. He takes the time to make sure every person in his box know what they are doing before letting them tackle any kind of lifts. He does a great job programming work out that build on Olympic lifts, conditioning and gymnastic skills.
