I came in as a tired, underdressed mama bear almost embarrassed at my clothing and no makeup surrounded by this beautiful building and modern indoor decor. I went here for prenatal massages and it was great! I was recently given a gift card for a 60 minute massage so I scheduled with Brianna. She was extremely knowledgeable and it was a great massage! The issues I have are not with her, they are with how the business is run. The stars are for Brianna. 1. My massage was scheduled for 12:40 and When I was told we were finished the clock read 1:30. When I asked why we ended 10 minutes early Brianna informed me that at Calming Touch they massage for 10 minutes less than the time you pay for (I.e. a 50 minute massage when you paid for a 60 minute massage) even if you arrive early so your massage begins on time. 2. I had a coupon from referring a family member that I used during checkout. When I went to pay with my gift card I was informed I was not allowed to use a gift card if I have any discount applied to the price of my massage. So I had to pay out of pocket. *I will note that nowhere on the website or at the location does it say this is a rule, so I found it very frustrating, especially after paying for 60 minutes and being told I only get 50. This does not happen at other massage companies (i much experience in managing a massage business and attending multiple) and it was extremely disappointing to find out. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location anymore to my friends and family as I now know we aren't getting what we paid for.
