I came to this place for magic.. well actually the matcha. I was in the area on a Sunday so I decided to finally try it out and I hoped the long lines of the opening days would not be present. I did arrive 20-30 minutes before closing so there wasn't a huge line but many of the seats inside were taken. In addition to seating, the atmosphere was light, including the light wood for the seats and tables. It wasn't silent but a reasonable volume of noise when conversation happens. They have a set of drinks on tap and of them I chose the matcha pistachio (iced matcha with pistachio milk) and added a brown sugar sweetener. For a tap drink it was smooth, not too sweet and still had some earthy notes to remind you that it is matcha. Plus they have pastries from Elbow Bread, a place I have visited and appreciate. I got the last passionfruit ricotta cake and I'm glad I did. The person at the register was really nice and helped explain things to me since it was my first time there. Worth the hype. Came on a Monday to avoid the lines and there was still a line. The potato sauerkraut knish was excellent and the barista even checked the allergen list for me. The cappuccino was perfectly done. The ambiance and the people who were in line is very LA. Overall great place. Anytime you can get there without a line it's well worth it. read more

I went early on a weekday morning before I started my meetings and there was still a queue...this place is definitely popping! Loved that they have an oat latte on tap (similar to the oat draft latte at La Colombe that I also really like) and the beans I brought home make a nice brew, too! read more

I finally got the opportunity to try out this popular coffee shop on a beautiful Saturday afternoon (4/11/2026). As expected, there was a line stretching from outside of the shop. I was online for approximately 15- 20 minutes before making my order was taken. I had the intention of getting a Brown Sugar Pistachio Milk Latte here. However, when I requested it, I was told that it wasn't sold or available. I didn't even see it as an option on the menu. That was odd because I saw recent photos on Yelp that depicted Pistachio Iced Lattes. I reluctantly ordered an Iced Latte with Vanilla syrup instead. I was hungry so I also ordered the Olive Oil Carrot Cake. I wanted a sandwich but noticed that they were $15 each and a small portion. I initially wanted my order to stay but got it to go instead since it was very crowded and busy in the shop. The coffee shop is clean and modern but not worth the hype. I will be going to other coffee shops such as Birch Coffee instead in the future. read more

The line was not too long but the person taking the order was honestly so slow. The space is very nicely decorated and has a cozy vibe with a good number of seating available! The banana cardamom muffin was delicious although pricey at $7 for the small size. It wasn't anything special and just tasted like banana bread to be honest and didn't have strong cardamom flavors coming through. They had more sweet pastries available and I wish they had more savory options. They do have toast and other breakfast options which looked good! It's nice that they have drinks on tap for quicker service or for those in a hurry for take out. The lattes tasted good, not amazing. The brown sugar latte was a bit too sweet and both the lattes felt like it had too much milk. I think you can find better lattes elsewhere. The price of the lattes were reasonable and I'd love to try the other drinks like matcha pistachio next time! read more

I stopped by Canyon Coffee on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 PM. Since this LA-based coffee brand just opened in Brooklyn, it was obviously packed with people wanting to try it. The line looked short at first, but it still took about 15 minutes to order and another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks. I ordered the brown sugar latte with pistachio milk and a cortado. The brown sugar latte with pistachio milk was strong and creamy with a nice hint of nuttiness from the pistachio milk. I actually liked this one and thought the flavor worked really well together. The cortado on the other hand was super strong, almost like it had three shots in it. It leaned pretty bitter for my taste, but if you need something to wake you up, the coffee here will definitely do the job. The interior space is pretty big, but because it's so new it felt very crowded. People were standing really close together waiting for drinks or trying to find a seat. When we did find a table, it unfortunately wasn't cleaned yet and still had the previous customer's drink and pastry plate on it. It's more of a self serve setup where you're expected to bring your plates to the counter and throw away your own trash. The staff were friendly even though it was really busy. I'd probably come back again once the hype dies down a bit, but right now it's definitely a packed scene. read more

Tried the vanilla latte and it was solid! Good level of sweetness and it was good ratios of milk and espresso. I didn't realize there was a brown sugar latte till after ordering so I'd love to come back and try that. There was a small line to order which took about 10 minutes at 11am on a Saturday morning. There's seating inside but it's pretty packed at that time. The employees were friendly and my drink came out quickly. Overall a solid spot! read more

Wow, hailing from LA Canyon Coffee is it. We ordered the iced brown sugar oat milk latte and like what others have noted-it is not too sweet, but the flavor is more pronounced as you go through the drink. Although it was iced and they evidently filled it up with ice, the drink itself wasn't diluted and watery as you usually taste towards the end. We waited around 15-20 minutes and it didn't feel as bad as the first week when they opened. I don't think they charge extra for milk alternatives, but imagine this is baked into the cost already. They have quite a good amount of drinks on tap, and I can't wait to come back to try the rest of their menu! read more

Canyon Coffee just opened up on Vanderbilt, and it's caused quite a buzz. I stopped by at 11am, and about five minutes later, the line started to form outside the front door. only got an iced matcha pistachio latte but it was delicious. The guy helping me at the front was super nice and gave me a run down of the sweets. Sadly only went with the matcha but i'll absolutely be back. The pistachio milk was a really nice touch and they let you sample before committing. Very beautiful space aesthetically too and a good spot to work from if you have a hotspot! read more
