Purple Rainbow Cafe is an adorable cafe in downtown Brooklyn. They have seating available for dining in and for hanging out with your book or laptop. I just walked in to pick up a cappuccino and took it to go. The staff is friendly. I was helped out by a young woman. The cappuccino was delicious. I am interested in trying more of their coffee and maybe a pastry someday. 10/10 coffee shop recommendation. read more

My room at the Sheraton wasn't ready yet, so I decided to stop here and treat myself to a matcha. I didn't look at the menu before heading in, and was pleasantly surprised by the different flavors. I ordered the raspberry matcha and really enjoyed it! Would love to come back and try lavender. I was also pleased that I was able to charge my phone during my visit. read more

Super cute and IG friendly spot with great service for coffee and tea drinks. Love their creative drink menu options -- mint mocha latte, rose latte, strawberry matcha, chai and more! There's just enough variety without being too much. Small pastries available but the larger breakfast menu is only available weekdays. Limited immediate seating inside but the cafe is connected to the Aloft hotel so it's pretty spacious in general. read more

Terrible experience. Paid $8.44 for a latte. It didn't have enough of the flavor I paid extra for... could not taste it at all. Politely asked for extra flavor. The response? The barista mumbled to me "you should have said that earlier." Pardon? For a place with the nerve to charge such outrageous prices, at least have polite people working. Garbage was overflowing... the pastries in the case looked rock hard, and the ambiance was lacking... behind the counter were stacks of gatorades etc. would not return. read more

This restaurant is in the lobby of the Wyndham hotel downtown Brooklyn. I ordered avocado toast and a regular coffee. While I waited I noticed one server making an egg sandwich without wearing gloves. My server had on gloves so I was happy about that. On the window the restaurant had a B rating but on the door it had an A rating. My breakfast was just okay, nothing to jump and down about. read more

The coffee is excellent, and the price is great for NYC. Everything is $5. I think Tea and something else is less. I am not rating this higher because of the quality of the lids they use. They are very thin and don't close tightly. Before jumping in on our Uber, I noticed this and went back to replace the lid, thinking the one I got was defective, only to find out all of them were the same. I would encourage the owners of this cute coffee shop to invest in better quality, so the experience matches the coffee and service. read more

This place is gorgeous! There's a street entrance but it is also in the lobby of the Sheraton, downtown Brooklyn. I got a yummy Capuccino made with almond milk. But a bit disappointed with the choices. I came in for a Cortado or a Macchiato and they had no idea what I was talking about so I had to settle. Prices were very expensive however....for two large ones it came out to like $16-$17. Not recommended at all. Their manager sat in corner doing business and they had 3 employees in back. The coffee that was made from my request wasnt made good. I usually order a almond milk latte with half in half and almond. But it tasted burnt and not creamy like a talent barista cam make. So I asked for a remake, but just make it normal thinking maybe they can accomplish that. The employees bless their hearts looked nervous to have to charge me but the manager had charged me a new latte. Mind you the old latte I took one sip and handed it back to them. I took the charge as I wasnt thinking straight. But now that Im in my hotel room I thought wow Ive never had to pay for a remix. I do not recommend this loaction. The coffee is not madr right and if you ask for a remake they will charge you. And while I sat in the restaurant never once was I asked hows your latte this time. Btw I took 2 sips of 2nd latte at table and decided The latte was not good either. I handed back to caahiers barista and casually talked to them. The latte has a unsmooth burnt taste. Even with milk vs almond. They explain its a new machine and pumps out expresso by iself vs them doing it. And I said oh well that definitely must me the problem. $14 dollars later (7 +7) and no latte and bad taste in mouth for both the latte and the business. read more
