My experience going here was very positive. I'm surprised to see these negative review on yelp. I hope my review can help balance out the score a bit. I had a toothache so I called them up. they were able to see me within the hour. I called them at 9am and I was sitting in the chair getting my tooth x-ray at 9:45(good luck finding anywhere else that will see you so quickly). It turns out I needed some work done and I had a sinus infection. I got a temp crown, 3 fillings, a full cleaning, antibiotics, and prescription pain meds all within the same day(I came back a week later to finish the crown). and it didn't break my wallet! I was pleasantly surprised. My insurance paid for 4/5ths of the procedure. My teeth are in good shape and my bite is perfect. I quite enjoyed the professionals who worked on me. They were really kind and considerate. I kept getting bits of stuff in my beard during the procedure but the hygienist was careful to keep me clean and my dignity was protected. I just had the worst dental experience I've ever had in my life my dentist Nathan Tobler couldn't have seemed less concerned about my root canal probably because he's working on multiple patients at the same time and my 1 hour appointment turned into a 2.5 hour long waiting game and this all stemmed from a filling I got in the same tooth 1 week ago that got infected and they still charged me $400 for what was mostly there mistake in first place once I get my permanent crown I will never be returning to this dentist office there don't care about the patients all they care about is that there getting there money read more

I went here many years ago! They are the most dishonest group of people I have ever encountered. They tried over billing me with no accurate documentation for the work. This office is terrible. My son's crown failed within a year and the tooth had to be extracted. The hygienist told me it was MY fault that I had to have a filling because I obviously "didn't brush enough." The billing practices are questionable - I had to call multiple times to clear up billing issues because they were overcharging and double billing me. I went in and I had two dental insurance plans. Thinking the procedure would be covered since they told me my portion was $58. Which I paid. Thinking both insurance plans with the same company different plans would only cover half of the procedure. I set-up a payment arrangement they agreed. I mailed in the first payment. They cashed it. I get a letter from the collection company they use even though I paid as agreed upon as stated in the text messages between the Lehi office and myself. I have been going to Stonehaven in Lehi for the last 7 years and have spent thousands of dollars on my teeth, they do great work. However, I have always found it annoying that everyone is treated like a deadbeat bill payer and is hustled over and required to meet with the financial team and get the money settled before any work is done. I realize they are in the business to make money, but the whole process always feels like a shakedown. Today I bring in a friend who lives on a fixed income, well below the poverty line. The dentist tells him how BAD his teeth are and how much immediate work needs to be done, so the financial team steps in to work out a payment plan. We even spoke about him getting his taxes back soon to pay it off. But, because my friend did not have $1,134 to pay up front, he was turned away. Again, I understand they are a business, but this should be embarrassing to Stonehaven Dental. Do they only want customers that can pay in full? Charity? Compassion? Sheesh! read more

After reading other reviews I decided to leave my own also. Very underhanded practice of telling you need work that is NOT needed. After they told me I needed significant work on three teeth I went and got a second opinion and none of the three teeth needed work! The new dentist just said we will watch those three teeth and nothing has had to be done to them and its been 5 years now. I'm not one to leave a review usually but I'm a pretty disappointed. I've been going to Stonehaven for a while and each time I come it's a new dentist which is fine... but feels impersonal. Last time I went the hygienist diagnosed me with Periodontal Disease which she made seem like a pretty big deal and it kind of scared me! She never even looked at my teeth it was all done looking at an X-ray. I also thought it was weird the Dentist wasn't the one to diagnose me but I was so freaked out by it I just wanted the treatment. She had me schedule a deep cleaning with laser treatment to "fix" the problem which I had to pre pay for. I then did some research and found out periodontal disease is rare and generally only seen in people 75+... Im in my early 20s. So I went and got a second opinion where they told me all I had was tarter build up in a few spots and all I needed was a regular cleaning with some extra work on the places with tarter, which felt weird since Stonehaven said something so different, so I got a third opinion who said the exact same thing as the second and turns out all I needed was a free regular cleaning instead of the $1000 laser treatment. Seems like they were being dishonest so they could charge me for the laser treatment... I don't recommend them at all. read more

The dentist burst a blood vessel next to my nerve while giving me a shot. I'd gone in for a very small cavity fix, and came home with a swollen face and a pinched nerve for the next 2 weeks. I had massive headaches and was in a lot of pain. I went back in for them to see what they had done and hopefully fix it, and he made it much worse. Worst dental experience ever! read more

They are always behind charging money from patients. When you visit their clinic, they charge you as part of initial uncovered insurance charges. After that , like mentioned in other reviews, they will send you additional big bills saying, they did not cover in the insurance. Not sure, what kind of verification they do with insurance. They come up with some unknown reasons and say, it has to be done. Otherwise, it would be end of the world for us. To do the procedure, they just charge in thousands. For me , rather discussing about cavities, or issues where I had issues. They want to replace my bridge because it is couple of years old. For that, want to charge thousands of dollars. I visited Stone Haven Dental recently due to some cavitied teeth which were also causing recent nerve pain. After reviewing my x-rays, I was suddenly told that 2 root canals (summing upwards of $9,000!!!) would be immediately required. I've had far worse complications in another tooth, and a past specialist (several cities away from where I currently live), was able to save the tooth using a much less invasive & far more holistic approach, and costing far less to do it! Even with the technology (biomimetic dentistry) being state of the art, & not as widely known. So, after hearing this at Stone Haven, I pulled back in my chair & told the dentist that I was not on board yet for receiving root canals...as I've already had 2 in the past, and have suffered complications from them over the years (including a lost tooth). I mentioned that I wanted to seek a second opinion from the specialist whom I mentioned above, & the dentist proceeded to try and twist my arm into siding with him instead. After still being in disagreement, he proceeded to hit my already sore teeth as hard as he possibly could with his wrench... and asked me if it hurt! Of course it did! &, he used the pain he caused as more proof to validate his claims for immediate canals! only I still declined. At which point, I was escorted from my chair & sent over to a little back room to further discuss treatment recommendations, and made to believe that my situation was really life or death, and root canals ($9,000+!) were the only way to save me! If I didn't already sign up for their smiles 360 annual membership ($479 for dual coverage) (which is also supposed to cut other treatment needs by up to 25%) (9,000 was my cost after discount!), I would never visit their facility again! And, if I ever bring myself to go back, it'll be only to receive our routine annual cleanings that are covered under part of the 360 plan. And, only until our membership runs out! read more

Had a great experience. My daughter lost a cap and they were the only office open on Saturday. They were about to squeeze us in immediately even though they were busy because they knew she was in sensitive tooth mode. Literally no wait. Whole thing took 15 minutes. They didn't charge for first visit exam and only 80 dollars for procedure. Everyone was nice and great with kids. She got balloon, toy and a free tshirt. Definitely recommend. read more

My sister and I both went to stovehaven provo after moving to provo from Arizona for school, after 1 year there I got married and decided to go to my husband's dental office, Stonehaven told me I had 4 cavities on all of my molars then when I went to my husband's dental office 1week later, they told me I only had cavities on my bottom TWO molars and another one that was completely somewhere else than all the rest! I told my sister after they told her that she had 2 cavities, so she decided to go to her usual dentist is Arizona and they said that she didn't have ANY cavities! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. I'm so upset, I would not take the time to write this if didn't think that EVERYONE should know this before they choose Stonehaven Dental. They have super nice staff but obviously LYING or UNSKILLED dentists. read more

They will try to do work that's not needed! I decided to go here because they really got me with their advertising. They were really peddling their sedation dentistry on their ads at the time and I figured why not, I hate going to the dentist! Well the place is beautiful and the people were pretty nice, the equipment is brand new and looks top of the line, the dentist was perfectly nice but no one mentioned anything about the sedation options once. I didn't really care because I don't really need it but I still thought it was a little shady to get people in the door with it and then pretend it never happened. BUT THEN CAME THE SCAM!! On my way out I had to meet with some lady in her office who went over my treatment plan. I have not had cavities since I was a kid. So when she started telling me I had like 7+ cavities and that they were horrible and that my old filled ones were falling out and new cavities were forming in them so I needed root canals I started kinda freaking out wondering what was going on. I left there being told I had thousands of dollars of work to be done and that was after my insurance paid everything they would pay and that I had to do this ASAP or dangerous things would happen. But I did get a pink sparkly bag to hold my tooth brush I got. I called my husband in tears! He was shocked and had me go to his friends who are dentists and come to find out I had NO cavities! Service at Stonehaven is great. They have a great facility, friendly people, experienced hygienists, and capable dentists. Everyone seems to genuinely care. They even give you a print out of what your insurance will cover and what your costs will be. Five stars for their service. I don't go there anymore. On close to half my family's visit there have been insurance problems. On one, they said my insurance approved a fluoride treatment. The insurance didn't pay, so they billed me. I spent hours on the phone with them and with my insurance company. The ultimate result was that whoever contacted my insurance from Stonehaven made a mistake and the fluoride wasn't covered. Notwithstanding it was their error, they wanted me to pay because they performed the service. Currently I have a charge for a crown back in August. I have spoken with them many times, and I've even gone down to the office to try to get it resolved face to face. In my last communication with Stonehaven they said that the info they get from the insurance is "just an estimate" and I'm responsible for the remainder. -- The real problem is that my insurance company requested additional information and Stonehaven hasn't provided it. Stonehaven hasn't been able to follow through and resolve this with my insurance, so now I have to deal with it. Ultimately it's not worth it. I've spent preposterous amounts of time on the phone trying to deal with them. Their follow-through is completely lacking. Their employees are polite and friendly up until you're trying to get them to be accountable for errors their company has made. Then it's my problem and they don't much care anymore. read more

Watch for additional services never rendered often they will add more to the bill and never give an explanation of the charge. Delta dental insurance now sends checks to patients to deal with "billing issues" for the difference to be felt with by the patient. Well, I went there with a hole in my tooth. Left with a hole in my wallet. No cleaning, because they found I needed a deeper cleaning than usual, and it was just under $100. Because the free cleaning my insurance provided wasn't enough. Well, I couldn't afford it. But, what is worse, they wouldn't clean my teeth, for my insurance covered free cleaning. Claiming it was insurance fraud?! So I had the hole in my tooth fixed, the dentist didn't even introduce himself. So I have no idea which one did it. Seriously?! The work done was good, so far, but expensive, and I still need to go somewhere else now to get my teeth cleaned, since they refused to do it for free, under my insurance. I still have some fillings to be done, but would rather get them done somewhere else. I want to know that the dentist actually cares enough to give me his name, and maybe say hello. Not just come in and start drilling my teeth. I find that very rude and inconsiderate. Never going there again!!! read more

Dr Trivedi is the best; I'm a flinchy, reluctant patient with a decent amount of crowding and bone-loss. He is so patient and explains everything in great detail before and during procedures, which makes me feel so much better. In fact, I had a front tooth injury that resulted in some decay before I started feeling radiating pain throughout my jaw and noticed a fracture. As he began drilling into my front tooth, I started crying. He stopped and asked if I was in pain and I said that it wasn't painful--it was the emotion of my smile changing and looking bad. He empathized and said he too, would feel the same way, but he was going to be extremely careful to preserve my pretty smile--and I testify that he did a fantastic job and my smile looks like nothing was even done to alter it in any way. I'm so grateful for not only his amazing skills, but also for his compassion and his gentle chairside manner. Dr. Trivedi is the best and I am someone who avoids dentists and who at the age of 5, cried myself to sleep if I knew I had a dental appointment the next day. So So GRATEFUL! read more

We just got back from the endodontist and have 3D x-rays of a root canal that was done by these hacks at Stonehaven. The X-rays show that not only did they miss the root entirely, they also pierced my wife's sinus. This was 6 years ago. She remembers the appointment as long and extremely painful, but thought at the time that maybe the cavity was serious. Now we see it's because an inexperienced boy-doctor was drilling into her sinus, 4mm past the root. FAIL. My wife has experienced significant health issues in the intervening years. We've chased them and the doctors are perplexed. Now the endodontist shows us this and the likelihood is that her constant sinus infections are a result of this hack job. Save yourself the pain and use a different dentist. These guys are not interested in your health - they only want your money. They are a factory to buy expensive cars and boats and their own shiny white veneers. Go to a dentist who will worry about your health first. Honestly, what kind of a dentist does a root canal and completely misses the root? read more

After the pain continued I saw another dentist that pulled out a giant piece of extra filling that was lodged inbeween my teeth. Don't go here! We recently moved to Lehi. My 6 monthly check-up was due so I looked online and saw that Stonehaven in Lehi had some positive reviews. I booked in and arrived on time for my appointment. They made me wait a while but I could see that they were busy. I had a check-up and my teeth cleaned. I was then asked if I wanted a topical application of fluoride which was free as I was a new patient. So of course I said yes. A few months later I am going through my papers for filing and I find that Stonehaven billed me $39.00 for the topical fluoride application and because it was not covered 100% by my dental plan, I ended up paying $18.00. I will not be going back here because they lied to me! read more

Someone must be behind on their mortgage payment because they tried to get me to agree to over $3000 of unneeded work. I went in for a routine cleaning and everyone seemed nice and very professional. I was a little uncomfortable with how many times they asked me if I wanted an ortho consultation or if I wanted my wisdom teeth taken out. It felt like they were trying to sell me services. But I wouldn't complain if that was the only problem. After taking x-rays they told me I had 12 cavities that needed to be filled and that my two fillings (the only ones in 23 years) needed to be replaced. It would total to over $3000 before insurance!!! I asked them to send the x-rays to my dentist back in my home state and they charged me $50 just to send them in an email. However they did tell me that if I agreed to have work done in their office they would wave this fee. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SEND AN E-MAIL!!! Then my dentist didn't get the x-rays!! When I called stonehaven the receptionist got an attitude with me and told me that I was wrong because she "sent them herself". Finally my dentist got them after I got a copy and e-mailed them. He said that they were out to lunch and probably dishonest! I will never go back and feel sorry for all the other hard working Utahans that get scammed by this shady practice!! read more

I love this place. Having a tooth that broke in the middle of the weekend, this was one of a few places that was open on Saturday that I could get into. They got me right in which was really nice. Bent over backwards to help me out with the broken tooth. I have since been back and had more dental work done with these people. I have never been happier with the results. My teeth look better and feel better than they have in a long time. Very friendly office staff. I would definitely recommend this to anybody that's looking for a good dental care. read more

After multiple root canals which all failed. I now have to get an implant. I truly regret trusting this dental office. It feels like they have no interest in the patients and are just turning through the appointments. Some of the dentists are just rude to the other staff. If KT was possible to not give any stars I totally would recently tried to add my husbands insurance as primary and they gave me the old run around that they have to check and make sure it's active and such after I told her that he is my husband multiple times. read more

The only thing these people are good at is wasting your time and making you come back again and again for unnecessary visits. Either because what they did the first time was done incorrectly or sloppily, or because of their anal office policies. The ONLY reason i went to this dentist office in the first place is because they offered appointments on Saturday, which is the ONLY day of the week i can go without taking a full unpaid day off work. I recently tried to schedule a cleaning for a Saturday and asked if they could add just a LITTLE extra time to the appointment to fix a tooth that had a very minor chip. They told me it is against their "office policy" to add ANY extra time to a Saturday appointment and that i would have to come in and "be seen" by the dentist first, so that he/she could tell me what I already know, that the tooth is chipped and needs fixing, then schedule another appointment for it to be fixed. I drive 45 minutes round trip from my house to this dentist office. Their dental work has always been mediocre at best, so it's high time i find myself a better, more accommodating dentist. read more

I went to these guys for three years. They were so quick that I kept going back. Over the course of the visits there was a high turnover of dentists and staff. I overlooked this for too long. That is a sign of problems. I could kick myself for not moving on sooner. I believe they recommended work that was not needed. Every time I did work beyond cleaning, there were billing mistakes with copays (always in their favor). I would call them on it when I had the explanation of benefits from the insurance company and they would credit the account apologizing each time. As to the quality of the workmanship it was not good. I cannot believe I was stupid enough to return to them after the first time I had work done. Bottom line, stay away from these guys. There are many dentists out there who care about their patients and these guys are not among them. read more

I will not go to Stonehaven again. They performed a root canal on a molar and then later after having an abscess on that tooth they performed an Apicoectomy surgery to "save" the tooth. The antibiotics they prescribed gave me C-Diff, and the problems with the tooth remained. I recently saw a specialist at the recommendation of my new dentist, and he told me that the previous dental work on the tooth had not been done correctly. I still have an abscess a year later and have to have the tooth pulled. Stonehaven dentists think they can do any kind of dental work, when they should be referring some things to specialists. There are so many dentists there that you see a different dentist every time you go. I am tired of feeling like a number - just one of the masses. I am now seeing a caring dentist that takes very good care of my dental needs. read more
