The downside is there are sooo many frames I found myself getting overwhelmed. After awhile they were looking all the same. Hence the reason I was there. I switched insurance companies at the beginning of the year, and my regular eye Dr wasn't on the list so I decided to check out ShopKo Optical. As soon as I entered the door, I was greeted by smiling faces. I was checked in within less than five minutes. Wow that's what I call service and with a smile no less. The new experience with the Dr went really smooth, and he answered all my questions. I only had a slight change in my eyes so I was happy about that. Glasses take about a week to make, so you will need to make another appointment to come back. On the return appointment I was in and out within 20 minutes. They did say that I could bring in my own sunglass frames and they would replace the lenses with my prescription for just the cost of the lenses. Parking is a nightmare as they share the parking lot with the bar next door.

Doctor Justin Burk OD was the one who examined her. My sister is not one to complain much, and when she does, that means that she is really having an issue. She was complaining recently that she couldn't see the board in school, so my mom brought her in to get examined yesterday. Justin Burk rudely said that she's making it up and that she has 20/20 vision... but in her exam, she had a difficult time reading the letters on the wall. She really had to squint to even barely see it. Really?! Making it up? Then to say that (which is unacceptable) and then still charge the full amount for the exam, that's not right. I just would like to make everyone aware - do not go here!

It was recommended I see an ophthalmologist. For three times the cost of Costco, Dr. Smith spent very little time with me. His assistant worked up the prescription, and even though I told her it wasn't very clear, she left it as she had set it. I am not pleased with the results of my visit.
