I just moved to the Salt Lake valley and needed a new optometrist for my old eyes. I chose Magna Family Eyecare because they have good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. They have great diagnostic equipment and can quickly test for all manner of eye related issues. There is a nice team of people handling the front desk. My doctor (Dr. White) was excellent and gave me a thorough checkup. He had some newer diagnostic techniques I haven't seen before. That helped me realize I was in the right place. They have a large selection of frames which is great! Sunglasses to. The office is situated in a modern building. I can whole-heartedly recommend Magna Family Eyecare. Cya there sometime!

The opticians at Wasatch View Eyecare were the first ones (and I have been to multiple optical shops), to understand what I was going thru and who offered me hope. They made me some wonderful glasses which I am tolerating very well. I have been searching for over a year for a good optical shop and have finally found it. I am SO grateful to them!

I did 3 rounds of treatment for my daughter and changed insurances during it. I submitted my new insurance they kept reassuring me everything was fine i was paying every visit "for supplies" not as a co-pay but they covered it up as such. Then after all the treatments were done and 3 mts had passed so total 9 mtns they slapped me with a 3k bill and then didn't work it out with me and sent me to collections now with 5k. Know what you're getting into with the office.

I didn't know an optometrist office could be run poorly,…read morenormally it's a pretty straightforward once a year event but this has definitely opened my eyes (pun intended). I had to call 4 times across 2 days before I got ahold of someone here and never got a call back. On the 5th call, once I did finally get ahold of someone, 15 minutes into the call I still didn't have an appointment and had to go to a meeting and asked them to call me back in an hour which they agreed to do. 4 hours later after not receiving a call I had to call back in twice more over the next day to finally get ahold of someone and start all over once again. All I needed was a standard annual appointment and a corneal topography. They stated that this was no problem and part of their routine annual exam anyway. The next day I got another call from them in which they said (direct quote) "I'm just wondering why you want the corneal topography..." firstly, that's none of your concern, secondly, you already stated it was standard practice so why does it matter? 2 days before my appointment I get another call which I miss and they left a voicemail saying they moved my appointment a day earlier (without my permission) but I decide I'm already this deep so let's just finish it out. I show up to my appointment and the receptionist says that my appointment is tomorrow (the original time). At that point I cancelled my appointment because this is just insanity. You would think it would end there but 2 hours later I get a reminder for my appointment which I had canceled in person earlier that day. I have no idea how this place is still open, maybe the doctors are phenomenal. I truly can't speak to them and their expertise as I couldn't even get that far. You need a complete overhaul of your entire operating procedures. Good luck!

They rightly deserve their good reputation for excellent level of care. My doctor, Dr Murdock, is very patient and explains things in ways that are easy to understand. He's taken the time to discuss my eye health, and gone over my scans/images with me. He's even used visuals to help me decipher some of the weird symptoms I was having. As a result, I left my most recent appointment feeling reassured about the unusual vision issues I'd been experiencing. The staff is amicable and sincere - the receptionists, the billing dept, assistants and doctors. They're a great crew to work with.

Beyond the environment, the billing practices felt predatory. I was charged a $65 'contact fitting fee' despite having worn contacts for 20 years and not requiring a new fitting. To make matters worse, they didn't present me with the fee form until the end of my appointment--after my eyes had been dilated. I literally could not read the document I was being asked to sign. To top it off, I was sent out into the light without being offered disposable sunglasses or any post-dilation care. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking professional or compassionate eye care.

When I got them back they didn't fit my face so I asked the woman behind the counter to adjust them for me. She laid them upside down on a table and said they're fine. I told her my face wasn't a table. I went back two more times for an adjustment But they never fit right and I couldn't see out of them correctly. If I could give them a minus review rating I would. I spent too much money on lenses that don't work. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a business, let alone an optometrist office.
