BEWARE CASH PAY PATIENTS!!!! OVERCHARGING!!! OVER BILLING!!!!!…read more During Covid I had a Telemed visit with Dr. Oldham as an established patient. This was for a medication refill. This was a 7.5 minute Telemed visit. As a cash pay patient this was a $75.00 charge. Because it was under 10 minutes and routine with no new diagnoses, it should have been no more than $75.00 and only billed as a 99212 service. I was billed an additional $162.46. This medication refill visit cost $239.46. This is a severe overcharge of services. It was billed as a 99214, a 25 minute visit. I have the call recorded at 7.5 minutes. It has been 16 months and I have called billing 3 times to explain this. Each time I was told someone would "get back to. me." Meanwhile I have been reported to collections. I gave Revere one more chance. On June 19 I sent an email to Holly Lambert in billing business office. I heard nothing. Today I emailed her again. She responded with the collection agency phone and said the charges were correct. If this was not cash pay it would be insurance fraud. Cash pay patients are taken advantage of here. I'm a NURSE PRACTITIONER. I HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY. THIS IS NOT A CASH FLOW ISSUE....IT IS A PRINCIPLE ISSUE! I'm disgusted with the dishonestly in billing at this facility. I paid the $167.33 this morning to get this off my credit report, and notified Holly at Revere that I paid and I would be writing a poor Yelp review. Immediately Abby from Revere called. She agreed this was incorrectly billed. However after the 15 month run around and only after poor publicity was there any concern. Revere can send me $167.33 check if they want this Yelp review removed. That is the amount I had to pay National Service Bureau for the collection and for the processing fee. BEWARE! IF YOU ARE CASH PAY BEFORE YOU LEAVE ASK HOW IT IS BEING BILLED!!!! GET IT IN WRITING!!! 99212 10 MINS 99213 15 MINS 99214 25 MINS 99215 40 MINS

Thousands of dollars of tests later and we still have no firm diagnosis. We were referred to Sarah Andrews by another doctor who seemed to think the issue was Endometriosis, and who seemed very competent, so we were feeling pretty good about Dr. Andrews. She let us down. She was unable to diagnose the problem, which of itself is forgivable and is not the reason for my negative review. She also offered no options for dealing with the pain, which was the biggest reason for our visit. Even this might be excusable, but what is inexcusable is the apathetic attitude she had towards my wife's pain. Her solution was 3 months of birth control, which was a treatment we were already undergoing and as of yet has not helped with the pain in any way (if anything, we feel like the birth control is causing her MORE pain). We will not be returning, and we will be actively discouraging our friends, family, and acquaintances from considering your "services." If it was an option, I would give you zero stars.

Where do I even begin. Within the first 60 seconds of walking into East Bays office I was insulted…read moreby the front desk woman. My husband was scheduled 30 minutes to leave his sample before my appointment with them to be tested and confirmed everything is good. We already knew that my husband is not the reason for our infertility struggles since we've been through this process before and are hoping for a better experience with a new practice. Boy were we wrong. Annie made a joke about me being the "problem" when checking in with her @ our very first infertility appointment and I should have walked out their front door the second my gut asked me why is the front office lady humiliating me & making me feel even more horrible about being the issue about not being able to get pregnant and hurts my feelings moments into walking into their facility. Without writing a novel for you, we proceeded with IVF treatment with East Bay. They removed 36 eggs in total. I have PCOS, so we knew there was going to be a lot of eggs and I had a high chance of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (ohss) which Dr. Larry Andrew monitored closely throughout the IVF cycle. The moment I woke up from my egg retrieval I was non stop throwing up & in extreme amounts of pain. They gave me some meds to help my nausea and something for pain. Symptoms slightly subsided for a bit. After sending me home these same symptoms were back & non stop. My husband called East Bay asking what to do and they said they could see us in the next 4 hours or if it's too bad to go to the ER. We proceeded going to the ER where we waited long hours while I was suffering and the staff didn't know what the aftercare protocols were for IVF or even what OHSS is. When trying to explain what we think is going on with my body, they barely got my symptoms under control after being there for the majority of the day we went home for another restless night. The morning came and the symptoms were back. Non stop puking, pain in my abdomen, can't drink or keep anything down. My husband calls Dr. Larry Andrew and asks him for help and what to do and our Dr. let my husband know he's at his Lehi location today and tells my husband I can't be having OHSS because it is too soon for that to be happening after my surgery. (Day2) My husband takes me to the ER for the second time from all the suffering I am still enduring & no help from our provider. The ER doctors run tests and are still not understanding OHSS. They even call Dr. Larry Andrew and he tells them on the phone it can't be OHSS, "it's too soon" the ER doctors could see fluid in the tests they were doing but their approach would be from draining the fluid from the outside of my stomach and could risk hitting a major organ to try and drain the fluid. another day spent WASTED at the ER. They were able to barely get my symptoms under control and they sent me home again. Day 3 morning I wake up to the same symptoms. We go into East Bay to get me in for an ultrasound. When we arrived I was taken downstairs in their basement of an older house remodeled as a fertility office. He had me lie down on the table and my legs in stirrups with the brightest lights beaming so bright at my entire body I had to close my eyes. He starts to do the ultrasound and begins poking and prodding around inside of me. He was getting frustrated with this nurse for not knowing how to help him, she couldn't get a twist top off and at one point my husband had to help her because she wasn't able to and the doctor said to have my husband help support her and he did and they were able to proceed with the next step of draining all the fluid in my abdomen. He used a catheter of some sort to pierce through my vaginal wall and pierced each individual pocket causing the most unbearable pain and sensation I've ever felt. My legs were shaking, my entire body dripping with sweat, my cries of pain and wincing from all the intensity was heard throughout the office and even made their Embryologist Thomas pop his head out of his office, and asked Dr Larry Andrew "is she ok?" He never responded and proceeded piercing the pockets of fluid with zero numbing or single ounce of sympathy during the ordeal. The only thing he asked me is "can you handle anymore?" to which I replied No, I had already begun to feel some relief from the fluids he had already removed. A total of 340 ccs were removed which is around 12 ounces. During this ultrasound he shows me on the screen my eyes blurred with tears I could barely see he points at the ultrasound screen & said this is "endometriosis scar tissue" and says I need to go see a specialist for this issue before continuing with him for our FET. He removes the ultrasound wand and covers me up and turns off the bright light. Tells me to change and come out when I'm ready. I laid on the exam table for which felt like an eternity not moving and disassociating from the last 20 minutes of utter brutality I sobbed in silence with my husband holdi

My appointment was so awful I'm having to switch to a new doctor…read more I have been a regular gynecological patient of Utah Valley OBGYN for the past decade. My husband and I have been doing Invitro to get pregnant for almost 2 years, a total of 6 years trying and we finally are in the midst of a successful pregnancy and this office made me feel shamed and acted like they had never worked with anyone who had been through infertility struggles before. First I was required to set up an appointment to "confirm the pregnancy" even though my IVF doc has done that 4 separate times throughout the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy with a urine test, blood work, and ultrasound. I asked why and they said it was "procedure" and that I had to do it before continuing any treatment. When I got to their office they proceeded to have me pee in a cup, though they explained nothing to me as to why I was doing this. Then they put me in a room and I waited for over 30 minutes, while terribly nauseous and having hot flashes and when the nurse practitioner finally came in she proceeds to get bugged with me because I can't tell her when my last period was (I didn't have this information because of IVF, it had been awhile) and she acts like she's never dealt with this situation before and complains that she doesn't know how to fill out my paperwork. Why are there not fields to fill on my medical paperwork in this scenario? Her complaints, confusion, strangely timed pauses and sighs made me feel judged and unwelcome. Even though I'm just as pregnant and in need of care as all their other patients. At this point she notices I'm about to be sick, gets me a barf bag and says she'll be right back. Another 30 minutes passes. She then comes in and says they have to give me a Pap smear and pelvic exam while there because I was due for one and proceeded to be extremely rough and it was very painful. Although I mentioned my concerns after recently have a subchorionic hemorrhage, had just gotten off of bed rest/pelvic rest, and was experiencing cramping. My concerns were brushed aside, and no explanation was communicated. I also came to that appointment with questions about some medications I had been using prior to becoming pregnant, that their office had prescribed, and she said she would help me find out if I could continue them but left the room again and never came back. She also told me she would set me up with the billing lady to strategize next steps after my appointment because we recently changed insurance and I was having to do a lot of self pay. Obviously since i never saw her again, that didn't happen either. After awhile, I got dressed sat in the room for another moment before sticking my head out and asking if I was finished and I was told by a medical assistant that I wasn't and that she'd come get me in a few minutes. Then they came to take me back to the labcorp specialist so pay a second bill that I was not anticipated as I called ahead to ask what the total cost of the appointment was and had already paid that amount when I arrived. This second bill made the total double what I was told. I still wasn't told what any of this was for and whether or not my pregnancy had been confirmed by them. So from my perspective I paid twice as much as promised while receiving absolutely awful care and being at their office for a total of 2 1/2 hours since I arrived. After I left I was feeling weird about things and I called them asking about the urine test and they said it did confirm I was pregnant but continued to make me feel weird cause they "couldn't confirm how far along I was" even though I told him multiple times with accuracy. And asked them to request my records from my IVF specialist prior to our appointment so they could be up to speed. Obviously this was another area I was ignored. I called yesterday to cancel my future appointments and that I would be changing to a new doctor and the receptionist said they would be in touch for billing us for the record transfer. It seems like this office cares way more about the dollar than actual patient care. And after the struggle it's been to get to this point in my pregnancy and just getting pregnant and all the trauma that comes with the difficulties of IVF I just can't afford to subject myself to further mistreatment. But guess I still have to pay for doing what's right for my body, my mental health, and my baby. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. Period.
