I took off a star because I didn't like the check in process or the questions asked that I was told I had to answer. It felt like an invasion of my privacy. First I shouldn't have to disclose either my SS or my religion for a simple yearly breast exam, but the young lady at the counter told me I wouldn't get my bracelet or access unless I answered them. I had my young daughter with me and I wasn't about to start a fight in front of her but when I explained that those items shouldn't be necessary to get my exam she said it's hospital policy. I didn't want to reschedule or go somewhere else but I was pretty upset. Also they require you to wear a medical bracelet as if you are being admitted for a hospital stay which is a bit crazy as the beast center is on the 1st floor just behind reception! Also, on his particular day the lights needed to be replaced so there were men working in the breast center area while I was being examined. While they didn't see me half naked they were there as I walked thru and I'll tell you this... the "gown" is a midriff weird shaped thing and not good for bigger gals as it doesn't cover your waist really. Personally I've had way better experiences elsewhere.

I had to be transferred from my midwives to the hospital for induction last week. I had been…read moreplanning on a home birth until experiencing high blood pressure that I couldn't get under control in the last weeks of pregnancy. Common Spirit Holy Cross is not far from home and in network, plus I saw they had birth suites with shower and tub and I wanted a water birth. Unfortunately due to the high blood pressure there was a chance I'd be put on a magnesium drip, which could make me feel nauseous and lightheaded and getting in and out of the the tub was too risky so I was confined to the bed and room. While I was here I interacted with at least a dozen if not more members on staff from doctors to nurses to certified nurse midwives to lactation consultants and dietary staff. Right off the bat I felt super comfortable. I was already nervous about having to be induced, but felt I was in a positive environment where the employees cared about their patients and their experience. Having an unmedicated birth was important to me as well as rejecting certain procedures and treatments for myself and baby. I never felt guilt tripped or forced into anything I didn't want to do for the most part (there were a few negative interactions with one person specifically). I was just met with questions for understanding my choices and provided with additional info and allowed to make my decision. With respect to those negative interactions I felt like most of the Holy Cross team advocated for me against this person to ensure I had the best possible labor and delivery experience, WHICH I DID. It was all hands on deck, and I had a beautiful unmedicated delivery. Now on to the negatives...this one person, instead of introducing herself with the same bedside manner like everyone else to make me feel comfortable and understand what was going on without making me worry, she came in guns blazing and seemed adamant about wanting to put me on the magnesium drip right after telling me how much it would suck, so much so that I would ask for the epidural. Also, she dropped this on me while I was in the middle of a blood pressure reading, which is only going to keep my blood pressure even more elevated to justify her desire to put me on the drip... the rest of the team decided I could attempt to labor unmedicated without the drip and low and behold, my beautiful baby girl was born five hours later. Also a couple of staff kept trying to say that Pitocin is the same thing as oxytocin, which it's not! Oxytocin is a natural labor hormone. Pitocin is synthetic. Oxytocin builds naturally as labor progresses, when your body and baby are ready. Pitocin can just be turned up regardless if your body and baby are ready. Oxytocin releases endorphins to reduce pain. Pitocin does not cross the blood-brain barrier and so you feel pain more. The only way they're the same is that they cause uterine contractions. Overall, I was impressed with the facility, with the staff, and with the quality of care and follow up during rounds. I felt encouraged and despite not getting the home birth I wanted, it turned out as great as it could be! I did have to go back a few days after discharge, to the ER, due to BP and it was another pleasant experience.

I called multiple times about a birth control problem and the nurse station never answered, I left a message every single I time I called asking them to call me back. never did. eventually I asked the front desk lady if she could help me with my problem. she was snotty and told me I'd need to come in for an appointment before anything could be fixed. which would have been nice to know in the first place... Then told me the next available appointment was 2 months away. I asked if there was anything I could do to get ahold of my doctor or a nurse before then and she was very rude and said no. then I called my primary care physician and he was able to help me with my problem within 30 minutes no issues at all. Basically, I will never go here again because of how slow and rude and unresponsive the nurses and front desk were even if the doctor was okay.

To start off with, I should tell you that I had suffered from severe back pain from a herniated lower disc in my back from a snowboarding injury from 15 years ago. For all those years my back pain persisted and I tried just about everything short of major surgery. My research in possible treatment options led me to Dr. Bill Cimikoski. I had a back treatment by Dr. Cimikoski and I had excellent results. But one important note is that I didn't get much improvement after the first treatment... So naturally, I was a little skeptical and concerned. Dr. Bill told me that about half the time he has to follow up the first treatment that he does, (which is with Stem Cells and PRP) with one or two treatments with PRP alone. The follow-up treatment did cost me another $700, and I will admit I was a bit apprehensive, but it was only after the second treatment that I started noticing improvement. I am so happy I did not stop after the first treatment as I would have had a very different attitude and a different result. I might have even left a bad review. I'm so glad I stayed with his treatment suggestions and did not give up hope after the first try. For me and my personal experience, after all these years and trying so many things that did not work, Dr. Bill and his treatments have made my life so much better. I am back to my old self with my back feeling great again and I am no longer living with back pain. We had great snow this winter and it was the first time in so many years that I got to really enjoy lots of ski days and without back pain. I found Dr. Bill and his staff to be kind, knowledgeable and friendly, and they always took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. The Doctor even gave me his personal cell phone number to call him anytime, even nights or weekends, if something came up or I had any questions or concerns. I have never had a doctor give out his cell phone number. Pretty cool. Because of my experience with Dr. Cimikoski, I have been happy to recommend him and his office and I will continue to do so. He doesn't just relieve the symptoms, he knows how resolve the issues so that I don't have to keep returning (which is a problem I faced with prior chiropractors). After years of daily migraines, he helped me with some adjustments and stretches and now they are gone! My girls have had joint issues and a broken tailbone and Dr. Ryan has gone above and beyond to help us, even coming into the office after hours. He has saved us a lot of money by referring us to a local x-ray technician for the broken tailbone, instead of having to go to the Emergency Room. He has a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable. I can't thank him enough for all that he has done for me and my family and I'd recommend him to anyone.

I bought a really good Groupon deal for two chiro visits and for one massage because I moved from out of state and have been searching for a new chiro. The one I left behind was incredible, so I was hoping to find someone of the same caliber. Reading the outstanding reviews for Dr. Ryan convinced me to give the office a try. The office is pretty busy right now, probably because of Groupon. I was able to schedule the first appt. within a week or so, but had to come in on a different weekday afternoon for a massage + 2nd adjust. They say the masseuses book up fast and at least a week out. Front desk people are nice. Dr. Ryan himself is alright. I don't really feel like he's fully present and that he's far too busy to really, truly care -- about me at least. Maybe he does care about his other patients who are very happy with him. He diagnosed me after our first meeting. He likes to play videos to show diagrams, but the TVs didn't really work, so just sat there waiting in silence instead of just listening to an explanation. One of my visits was sat in upon by a new hire that awkwardly stood in the corner. He asked if it were okay she was there after she was already there for 5+mins. He does actual hand adjustments, which I am not used to, but I liked it. They offer this muscle relaxant before adjustments that is delivered by electrical pulses as you lay face down on these massage tables. It's awkward because you're laying butt up in a public room where people are busily walking in and out of, and other patients are annoyingly playing loud videos on their phones or talking loudly. You can't really relax because of this. And you can hear other people's consultations through the walls. The first appt., he also mentioned doing a muscle scan, but then said the machine was down and that they would do it next time. He forgot the 2nd time, so I had to remind him. He said that he could cure my conditions for $2k. Despite me asking for a breakdown several times, I never got one. Knowing the regular price of the adjustments and massages, I could not figure out where his numbers were coming from (for 10-12 weeks of treatment). I felt pressured and was anxious for it for weeks because he told me I would likely develop osteoarthritis by the time I'm 40 if I did not move forward with treatment. I almost did it because of how scared I was, but I then decided to get hardcore back into strength training and yoga everyday, and I have been feeling a lot better. He really talked up their masseuses, saying they're the best in Utah. I hope not because my experience was just meh. She rushed it and was done before the hour was up and talked the entire time. That's fine, but to also talk about how you're psyching yourself up for a 2 hour massage AFTER mine is dumb. C'mon. I plan on going back to a chiro, but just not this office. IN RESPONSE TO THE OFFICE: Dr. Ryan explicitly told me he would CURE my conditions. He told me this twice. I remember the conversation because I asked him just to make sure I heard him correctly (because it's rare to hear any sort of medical partitioner to guarantee such a thing), and he said yes, "cure". It was at the end of my second appt, after my adjustment and after the muscle scan. I was standing right by the screen where I could see the results and the front desk. A cure was the only reason I considered paying $2k but decided I didn't feel right about it. I asked for the cost breakdown several times from both Dr. Ryan and the front desk staff, but it was not provided, I so doubted anything else would be resolved if I brought it to the office's attention. If you know who I am, you were able to call me but you chose to write this public response instead. Thanks anyway.
