The portions are a good size and you feel like you get your money's worth. They also have pints to go. The service was quick and efficient. The shop can be really busy at times, but they seem to have a good operation to keep the line moving. There is some seating indoors and outdoors around the shop and in the garden area. I appreciate that they have vegan options for my lactose intolerant self. They also pour into the community with both percentages of sales going to schools as well as planning events for people to participate in! When we got there there was a long line coming out the door and down the stairs. The line moved moderately quickly. We got an ice cream scoop flight to try several flavors. The scoop size for the flight was advertised as baby scoops, but we got full scoops. Needless to say, we were very full by the time we finished. The ice cream was yummy and we liked all four flavors. Capannari doesn't look like an ice cream please from the outside, it actually looks like a little house, next to it is a nice garden/plaza area where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. When we walked in on a Saturday night, it was packed! When you get to the door the special is located on the right side of the door. And when you walk in, there's a how many scoops tall are you, I am 9.5 scoops! Haha. There have so many options, along with ways to get your ice cream. I ended up going with the Chocolate Ganache one! It was so creamy and no crazy sweet! My husband ended up with strawberry which is his favorite ice cream and mentioned that it didn't take like artificial strawberry flavors like most do! Wife had a double kiddie scoop of coconut chip and java chip ($4). I had a regular double scoop of black raspberry chip and java chip ($5.20). The ice cream is creamy and delicious and a bit better value than Graeter's, but there's also normally a good sized crowd here at normal summer visiting hours, and deservedly so. They still serve the ice cream on the slightly melty side, and that's probably never going to change. Oh well. They have not opened the inside of their shop yet because of COVID, but they have a window where you can order whatever you want. They have the full menus attached to the building so as you are waiting in line, you can figure out what you want. The texture was so creamy, and it was honestly the most perfect flavor. It definitely reminds me of gelato. My friends who have come here before also told me that they give out samples if you are having trouble deciding what flavor you'd like to order, so keep that in mind if it's your first time or you'd like to try something new =) Once we paid, we walked around the patio to the other side, and the staff brings out your order on a tray and call your name out to make sure the right person picks up the order. They had such wonderful customer service, as all of the workers were young (probably in high school or college), and they were all so sweet. The shop also has the cutest garden attached to paths and seating areas. There are many benches, trees, and flowers around, and it seriously is such a cute area. We came in the evening, and the atmosphere is perfect. Definitely gives a date-night-type vibe. The building itself looks like an old-wooden house.
