Prices were extremely reasonable with a breakfast coming out to about $13 and the employees behind the counter were super friendly and nice. The breakfast was delicious and a great portion for the price. My partner who has not eaten an egg in about 20 years worked up the courage to try this one and LOVED it which was as a huge win as he now knows he does like eggs! I personally enjoyed the beans and sausage, which definitely were just as good as what I've had in Ireland. The restaurant was relatively quiet when we went, but there were still a handful of regulars there. There was also Irish session happening around noon, which we stayed for part of and it was nice as well.

It was a large space with plenty of table, high top, and picnic table style seating inside and outside there was plenty of patio seating. Right across from the Beverly Depot. They have food available which people were coming into grab and go. There was a handful of beers as well as some on cask. Seemed like they probably have more but were out of a good amount given the number of taps we could see. In general it was clean. Not sure we would rush back. Still we were glad we checked out a local place.

We arrived and sat at a picnic table with an umbrella so our pup could be in the shade. We were having a great time, so excited to be there and amped to try their current taps. Just as our apps were being brought out, a gust of wind lifted the umbrella clear out of the table, spilling my wife's drink and sending the heavy metal umbrella pole directly into my face and chest HARD. My wife, the server, and I were all stunned for a moment. Wife thought I was bleeding until we realized it was rust on my face and chest from the pole. Server asked if I was okay, clearly feeling a little awkward, and with my hand to my face I said "I think so? If I'm not bleeding, I guess?, still totally stunned and feeling some pain. Face throbbing, my wife asked for an ice pack, and the server brought us one. We totally understand that it was a freak accident, and that it wasn't our server's fault. But it got awkward from there as the crew working became avoidant. The girl that sat us saw me teary eyed from the pain, holding the ice pack to my face and asked if we were okay... but that was it. The atmosphere quickly became awkward, and considering the pain I was in combined with feeling totally weird from the staff, we asked for a box to take our uneaten food to go. Server brought our check and we were a little surprised to see that we were still charged for the drinks (one of which had spilled because of the umbrella) and the food. We paid cash, still left a nice tip, and left, wanting to get out of the sun and keep an eye on the swelling. We were really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the crew. We weren't looking for our apps to be comped, but it would have been nice for a manager to come by, apologize, offer to refill my wife's beer, and maybe move us to a different table since we were no longer in the shade. The team didn't go around and check the other tables to make sure the umbrellas were safe and secure, either, which was shocking considering what had just happened. We were really looking forward to hanging out, trying a little bit of everything off the menu, buying some cans or growlers to take home... but we left with a swollen, bruised face and chest and an uneaten $90 box of food that we ended up tossing because the mood was completely ruined. We rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but I guess this is just a PSA to check your picnic table umbrella if you sit outside, and hopefully a learning opportunity for management in how to improve customer service and safety for patrons.

Sometimes people recommend spots that just don't hit right with you because it isn't your thing…read more That's OK, let others enjoy themselves, but that shouldn't stop you from trying other things at the location. Such is the case with Tree House Brewing Company started in Brimfield, MA and moved to Charlton, MA. Their legend is built of the juicy New England India Pale Ales (NEIPAs) like Julius, Green, and Haze. People had me try the cans of these before and not surprising to me, I didn't like them. That didn't stop me from going to the newer Tewksbury location to try it out. This is the old clubhouse at the Tewksbury Country Club, which is outright beautiful with wood paneling and designs everywhere. Its massive halls are filled with golfer bros, work outings, and generations of families. My measuring stick at a new brew spot is to try at least four beers I like. With Tree House's massive selection of flavors including sours, ales, pilsner, stouts, seltzers, and distilled spirits, it was not hard to find. Even though the servers looked at me strangely when I removed the entire IPA page from my line of vision, they did help me find the less hop-forward beers. Here are the beers I had: *** Human Condition Nitro Stout *** Easy Does It Pilsner **** Enduring Relief Rye Beer **** Catharsis Porter *** Mom's Ray of Sunshine Extra Strawberry Peanut Stout . Julius (with Peach & Guava) What I really came here to try was the *** Pepperoni Pizza (7.3) Order this thing BEFORE any beer, it takes them quite a while to make. A lot of pictures from several sources made it look like my style, and it is that thin crust with little flop and enough flavor in the toppings and sauce to carry the bread. The toppings were good, the sauce was tasty, BUT the crust of the pizza disappointed me this time. Once you've invested in the pizza, it started to taste like great toppings on cardboard - no other way to describe it. The first pieces when hot were pretty good, but as it cooled it got harder and harder to eat. The score might have been high 8's or low 9's if the crust didn't bother me so much. Overall, it's a beautiful spot in the middle of Tewksbury and the brewery is legendary for a reason. It truly caters to the beer officianados and world travelers, after white collar work crowd, and the golfing buddies. It is limited in its offerings and I'm used to breweries offering many more food options, so like I said, it's not for me. Be well, eat well, and thank a farmer.

My husband made an online order for pickup, but I wanted to check the place out so I went in for a pour and drank it outside in one of the many spots you can venture outside. There's a lovely bridge overlooking the golf course, a gazebo with tables, tables in the sun, tables in the shade, Adirondack chairs facing a pond, even a rooftop deck. So many outdoor options! Of course there are also a bunch of nooks for indoor seating as well as long wooden tables with benches. The pizza looked and smelled freaking phenomenal. I wanted one with vodka sauce but I'll have to wait to try it when my husband goes with me. They have a draft beer bar and a cocktail/mocktail bar in different areas. A few tiny bathrooms throughout and a shop with lots of golf gear and other merch. I ended up making an online order when I realized they make their own spirits and other fun canned cocktail type drinks. OMG they even have regular seltzer water in cans with flavors like cotton candy!! When you pickup an order, you park in a designated spot, checkin online and tell them which spot you're in. They will bring your order out to your car. So convenient! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Outdoors is dog friendly and I made some furry friends while sitting out for a drink! The German style beers they have on tap included some unique finds and some styles you don't see too often. Bartenders were very friendly and helpful when I was trying to decide what to get, as lagers and ales are not my usual go tos but made up the majority of the offerings. I got the Salem Ale, a helles style, in a half pour- I love that they offer this smaller size since their other glasses are absolutely massive! My drinking partner also enjoyed their selection, and we really enjoyed the location. While Smuttynose doesn't have a cat (that I'm aware of), we were pleasantly surprised to meet the resident good boy, a black lab named Willy! What a treat. He is so friendly and freely roams the bar and beer garden. Cute pup aside, I love their facility. The outdoor area hosts a variety of seating options, including my personal favorite: adirondack chairs. This place would be an ultimate summer hang if I lived closer! You don't even have to go inside to order a beer - just walk up to the order window. I tasted their fall offers: Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale. I thoroughly enjoyed both, even purchasing a variety pack to trek home with me that included both the Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale. Their flagshop brown ale is called Old Brown Dog, and when we visited, they had a stronger version on tap - Very Old Brown Dog. The Very Old Brown Dog is one of the better strong beers I've tasted in some time. Definitely a sipper, especially if you're driving - but boy, it was smooth and very tasty in spite of it's sub 10% abv. The tasting bar is no frills at it's core, but clean bathrooms, fun merch, and good beer are flowing. There are some snacky foods available for purchase, but their restauarant is just across the parking lot if you're seeking a substantial meal. Lots of parking, great outdoor gathering space, smaller indoor seating area - would be great for summer hangs. Lots of tasty beer and a good doggy await. Smuttynose is one of my favorite breweries I've visited in recent memory.
