    Sunday fun day

I had no clue how many awesome breweries Beverly had to offer! My boyfriend and I did a little brew-hop around town a few months ago, and Channel Marker was by far my favorite stop. They have an adorable little space with plenty of seating and local art on the walls. Super friendly bartenders, delicious beer, and a popcorn maker! What more could you really want. Their beer was interesting and very tasty - coming from someone who doesn't love all beers, this means a lot. We are looking forward to coming back and visiting again soon!

Thought this was a cool spot to hang out and drink beer! I like how it's underground so sitting by the windows was fun for people watching. It did get busy but i enjoyed the large table seating with chairs all around. It made it feel like a friendly place which would be fun for netting people. As for the beers, I thought the commodore and smooth sailing were the best of the bunch. I would def come back!

Love the beers. 5 beers on tap. Well worth the stop. Channel Marker does a real nice job of creating an environment.

Prices were extremely reasonable with a breakfast coming out to about $13 and the employees behind the counter were super friendly and nice. The breakfast was delicious and a great portion for the price. My partner who has not eaten an egg in about 20 years worked up the courage to try this one and LOVED it which was as a huge win as he now knows he does like eggs! I personally enjoyed the beans and sausage, which definitely were just as good as what I've had in Ireland. The restaurant was relatively quiet when we went, but there were still a handful of regulars there. There was also Irish session happening around noon, which we stayed for part of and it was nice as well.

It was a large space with plenty of table, high top, and picnic table style seating inside and outside there was plenty of patio seating. Right across from the Beverly Depot. They have food available which people were coming into grab and go. There was a handful of beers as well as some on cask. Seemed like they probably have more but were out of a good amount given the number of taps we could see. In general it was clean. Not sure we would rush back. Still we were glad we checked out a local place.

Outdoors is dog friendly and I made some furry friends while sitting out for a drink! The German style beers they have on tap included some unique finds and some styles you don't see too often. Bartenders were very friendly and helpful when I was trying to decide what to get, as lagers and ales are not my usual go tos but made up the majority of the offerings. I got the Salem Ale, a helles style, in a half pour- I love that they offer this smaller size since their other glasses are absolutely massive! This was an easy drinking, smooth beer with low hops, just what I wanted for a hot summer day when I only had limited time to spend here. My drinking partner also enjoyed their selection, and we really enjoyed the location. Would love to go back, very chill vibes and the people there were all so friendly and happy, patrons and employees alike - a rare occurrence in Massachusetts!

Meanwhile, the Biergarten itself is basically a kids playground, which may be bad or good, depends on what you're looking for.... The food, well maybe some of it is nice, but we got the smoked trout spread and it wasn't for us. Mostly creamy (edited: owner says no mayo), no clear fish flakes, small arrangement with a few crostini and cornichons. Very disappointed, especially for the price. So overall, we'll try again, not everything works, but we'll stick to the good beer and German food options.
