Great beer and bites from the attached restaurant. Was visiting Salem for the day and decided to pop in here after seeing the reviews. The bartender was super nice and helpful when I couldn't decide. They also explained that the food and drinks are separate. After I ordered a beer I ordered some food at the next counter. I went with the Double IPA which was pretty good. For food we got skewers and the spring rolls. Both were so good! I'd come again whenever I'm in Salem.

I went to Salem at end of September. I found this brewery and decided to try it. Luckily it wasn't busy at the time since I went right when it opened. Spacious place with indoor & outdoor sitting. A good amount of variety of flavored beers. You oder at the bar and I decided on the strawberry jam and it was as good as I had hoped :) also Friendly staff. I went a couple of times during my visit in Salem and would go back if/when I revisit.

We went there after going to a few breweries, all the beers that we ordered was not that tasty, the strawberry one really didn't taste not a hint of strawberry! Maybe we ordered the wrong choices for our taste but we really couldn't finish the flight

SALEM, Mass. - Some of the better local beers I've had in the Boston area. Missus and I stopped by, Friday lunch hour, while doing Salem touristy stuff. Very quiet, seating a'plenty. Partners up with Theara Spicy Kitchen, a Thai street food joint with decent, eminently affordable eats. Staff of both Regiment and Theara hugely friendly and helpful. We got a couple skewers, a chicken bao bun and a beer flight including a perfectly good porter, the quite good Strawberry Jam (a nice wheat ale with a hint of strawberry), and a dang good passion fruit beer. Two thumbs up.

Great brewery we happened upon while in Salem! I had the the Belgian style saison aptly named "guard my beer" so balanced and tasty, became my fav beer in Salem as it was Quality! My hubby enjoyed a NE hazy IPA that he said was SOLID as well. They are just a brewery but still served lil snacks, at the time they even had slices available and I think was ok to bring your own foods in if needed as they had that family fun vibe. There is indoor and outdoor seating, (the outdoor is covered in plastic for season but seating is still there) Hit up here and Notch (another local brewery) for some tasty beers and friendly service from fellow brew aficionados! Prost!

My girlfriend and I popped in while walking around Salem. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to breweries, and I give this one two thumbs up. From the building, an old Salem firehouse, to the polite & knowledgeable staff, to the tasty choices on the tap, we were both big fans. For a history buff, it was also fascinating to hear about how they chose the East Regiment name and logo. To top if off, we happened to be there on the birthday of the place, and we received FREE, amazing cupcakes. We both very much look forward to coming in again the next time we are in New England.

Now that craft breweries are everywhere I find myself gravitating to the quiet, small ones. I am not super wild about the destination breweries with yard games, live music and rows and rows of picnic tables. East Regiment is a small little place, just off from the main roads of Salem. This is a brewery you can go to, order a beer, and just sit at. I found the variety of offerings interesting and the person behind the bar made a recommendation to me that was spot on. Great place to have a beer and read a book.

New microbrewery to open up in the area. This space used to be a musical instrument shop, behind the mall (whatever the hell the mall is called now in Salem). To be honest it was my first time, and I didn't end up having a drink. I'm not able to drink alcohol at this time (unless I wanna destroy my stomach while taking meds for the time being) so I cannot rate the beer. I am not picky and have a wide palate (there's very few beers I don't like) so I look forward to trying in the future. What I can offer up at least is my take on the brewery and the staff. Plenty of room to hang out in such a small area, with the enclosed patio it provides more space and allows for more patrons. The lighting is bright, not the best for a drinking establishment. It feels more like a party at a house or in the woods, rather than being in a bar with said lighting. The staff were polite and pleasant. Otherwise, love the logo and there's merchandise available, along with cans to go. I bought a 4-pack for a friend for this weekend. Granted I don't know what the beer tastes like, I wanted to bring a little taste of the North Shore to him as we're crashing with him in Providence. There are snack options available, however I do not know if outside food is allowed.

Five stars for all the reasons! Such good food, such unique flavors and who else can pride themselves on making their own beer. What a gem, check them out - seriously! So so good ! (Also if your name happens to be Reggie you may get a bit overly excited).

Really lovely space, enjoyed the flight i tried. Very close to the main street in Salem, but it is a smaller space so not for big groups.

Outdoors is dog friendly and I made some furry friends while sitting out for a drink! The German style beers they have on tap included some unique finds and some styles you don't see too often. Bartenders were very friendly and helpful when I was trying to decide what to get, as lagers and ales are not my usual go tos but made up the majority of the offerings. I got the Salem Ale, a helles style, in a half pour- I love that they offer this smaller size since their other glasses are absolutely massive! This was an easy drinking, smooth beer with low hops, just what I wanted for a hot summer day when I only had limited time to spend here. My drinking partner also enjoyed their selection, and we really enjoyed the location. Would love to go back, very chill vibes and the people there were all so friendly and happy, patrons and employees alike - a rare occurrence in Massachusetts!

Meanwhile, the Biergarten itself is basically a kids playground, which may be bad or good, depends on what you're looking for.... The food, well maybe some of it is nice, but we got the smoked trout spread and it wasn't for us. Mostly creamy (edited: owner says no mayo), no clear fish flakes, small arrangement with a few crostini and cornichons. Very disappointed, especially for the price. So overall, we'll try again, not everything works, but we'll stick to the good beer and German food options.

They're always experimenting, and I've also been thoroughly impressed with their stouts, sours, and pilsners. 5 stars on the beer alone. For those who know the brews but haven't been to the Tewksbury location: come! Enjoy! The Clubhouse taproom is spacious, lively, welcoming, and run like a well oiled machine. Show your ID, get a bracelet, and the staff will pour whatever, and it'll be sublime. Drink it to wash down one of their tasty house-made pizzas; honestly, the pizza kitchen is far better than most local "house of pizza" places, and could probably survive as a business on its own. Give your order and you'll get a text when it's ready. Then enjoy the pie, which features a crisp, well seasoned crust with a nice chew. I had pepperoni with hot honey and a side of ranch dipping sauce; never thought I'd gush about ranch sauce, but damn, it's seriously good. Wrap up your visit with a to-go order of cans from their lengthy beer menu. No, it ain't cheap. Yes, it's worth the price. All in all a great chilling with beer and pizza experience, and a welcome addition to the northern burbs.

We've visited several TreeHouse locations over the years: Charlton, Saratoga, Deerfield, Sandwich,…read moreand now Tewksbury. We were in the area running errands and decided to make an afternoon of it. The beer, as always, speaks for itself and is the reason people make the trip. We also knew better than to take our chances with the pizza/possible wait - even on a Monday afternoon - so we picked up sandwiches from a local deli first. I'm glad TreeHouse allows outside food because that worked out perfectly. What prompted me to write this review, though, was the cleanliness of the Tewksbury location. Unfortunately, it left a lot to be desired. I'll agree with other reviewers that the place is full of unsupervised kids. The result is that there were large smears all over the windows in at least two locations - noticeable enough that I was surprised they didnt catch the attention of the staff and hadn't been cleaned as they happened. The bigger issue was the restrooms. The two bathrooms off the main beer hall have a very strong urine odor, the kind that suggests they haven't been thoroughly cleaned or sanitized in quite some time. It was so unpleasant that I opened each door, turned around, and decided to find another restroom upstairs instead. Unfortunately, that wasn't much better. The upstairs restroom door was difficult to lock and wouldn't stay latched, which made for a pretty awkward experience. TreeHouse has built an incredible reputation for its beer, and we've enjoyed every location we've visited (some are definitely better than others). A brewery that attracts this many visitors should be paying closer attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of its public spaces. And yes, the mini sign in the lobby that suggests that kids need to stay with their parents is worthless. Please parents, remember this is NOT a pizza place that serves beer. It's a beer hall with a pizza oven.
