The administrative staff were warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with, which made for a pleasant initial interaction. Unfortunately, my consultation with Dr. Loffredo did not meet professional expectations. During our brief interaction, approximately 10 minutes, he was dismissive and spoke over me throughout the conversation. Despite asking questions, he repeatedly interrupted my responses, which made it difficult to feel heard or respected as a patient. Additionally, the nurse present in the room demonstrated a similar lack of professionalism. As a nurse myself, I hold fellow healthcare professionals to a high standard, and I found the behavior of both Dr. Loffredo and his nurse to be discourteous and unprofessional. Following the appointment, Dr. Loffredo contacted me by phone and spoke in a manner I found abrupt and inappropriate. Given the nature of this experience, I would not return to this practice, regardless of cost. While I had heard positive things about Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery, I can only assume those reviews pertain to other providers within the practice!

Keloid scarring is irritating and erythematous. The scars are raised and thick. I would not recommend this doctor. He does not take the time to evaluate each patient properly, and his communication skills are inadequate. I waited to write this to see if my scars would heal over time, and they have not. Working with him was the worst decision I have made in the field of plastic surgery. There is more, as he did three procedures, but I will not go on. I wasted my money and am permanently scarred. The lack of communication left me feeling empty, uncared for, and cheated. Please! Conveniently, the price drops to $17 per unit at 13 units, which feels more like a pricing gimmick than a fair structure, especially when the work had to be corrected. Which I declined and walked out- you already screwed me once. They justify the high pricing by citing their expertise, yet after spending around $700, my fave was still moving within about six weeks. That's not the result you expect at that price point. Pretty sure they were injecting it into their own faces. Punctuality is also an issue. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes, sometimes much longe- up to an hour... For my most recent visit, I confirmed my appointment two days in advance and was told there was no one scheduled before me, yet I still waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. There are plenty of places offering better results, better transparency, and better respect for your time for far less money. I wouldn't return.

Dr. Diedwardo did my surgery in what this practice advertises themselves as being the experts in. I…read morenever expressed it at the time but I was shocked immediately after the procedure when I saw the after result. I was left with too much tissue. And that didn't change as things healed up. In fact, what happened is I realized that one side was cut with a regular scalpel and the other side was cauterized as it was cut. Which is how both sides should have been done in the first place. Because of the technique used when cutting the first side, I ended up dealing with repeated painful swelling of trapped oil glands. And an uneven result. I had to get the procedure done again somewhere else. I paid 8k for my procedure which is top dollar at this place and not something you'd want to have to get again at that price point. At one of my follow ups when I mentioned I still had pain (I was only about 6 weeks post op still) she immediately positioned me as the problem and said something like "oh well that's why you don't....". She didn't finish that sentence because she was fishing for whatever rehearsed patient blaming excuse she was going to use to blame whatever problem I had on me. I'm pretty sure she knew the issue right after she finished the surgery but she never unpromptedly said she'd adjust or fix it. She was just waiting for me to be happy with it. And obviously because I had to get her surgery done again somewhere else for a very real physical problem, I wasn't the problem.

Also there is no feeling or sensation on top of head and they didn't explain that. It was over 4 weeks you walk around looking like a beast. To change your looks forever. Not worth it. I have a permanent white patch on my face for life.
