This venue was the most spectacular venue I've ever been to for any wedding in my life and I'm old lol. In July and August the bushes are spectacular. The bushes are hydrangeas and photograph fabulously and are overwhelmingly impressive to any guest that attends. Just attended a wedding there, and the only good thing this venue offered was the gardens, they were beautiful. However, the parking lots were not what you saw online. The upper lot did not have parking spots or was it paved as it seemed to be represented. It was gravel and NOT ADA compliant. The lower lot, which can't be found referenced online, is at the bottom of a HORRID rocky hill with no safety rail or any safety features that allow elderly or poorly abled people to climb up to the grassy, hilly venue without potential injury. Definitely not safe at all and someday someone will get hurt. ELDERLY AND POORLY ABLE PEOPLE WILL NOT DO WELL AT THIS VENUE AND IT DOES NOT TAKE THEM INTO CONSIDERATION. Next, the toilet facilities offered are indoor toilets that have wet floors, toilet paper dispensers that don't work, and paper towel dispensers that don't work. The onsite manager was told two days before the event that the TP dispenser did not work, but it still did not work the day of the wedding. Clearly, they are not capable of taking care of their property when issues need to be addressed. The only other choice were outhouses. Chairs provided by the venue we broken and set up for guests to use. When clean up time came around, the onsite manager did not have bags available to replace the bags in their trash cans. The only bags she has were small kitchen bags and had to send for more. Maybe trash bags onsite were not part of the $$$$price. Only two bags were allowed to be left at the venue and all other trash had to be taken off site. I would STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT USE this site for your event if you want your guests comfortable access, clean working facilities, good onsite customer service, and accurate, updated online information that provides your guests with the best possible experience available. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. This venue needs to step up their game and make it a safe place for all people. read more

BUYER BEWARE ! the negative comments here are true every word of it. Tristin B. (& others) comments on racial/prejudice it is true I sensed it the moment I met Hoda and it was a nightmare. Rebecca R. comments are accurate too. These owners are foreigners and there is a culture clash btw the value of american service/expectation and their racial and cultural prejudices and method of opperation. The venue is beautiful and historic hey you're in the NW nature beauty is everywhere take your pick. **Under no circumstances use Hoda's catering services portions and very small below industry size std. Quantity of food per person is very small altho you pd for a lavish feast. She and her team grab up the food quickly after being served and it disappears never to be seen again it's like she's rushing you out of the facility. I felt all food should have been left out and hors d'oeuvres relocated and left out for guest why they were taken to the kitchen and disappeared I have no idea. Even tho you have pd top dollar for the food you don't see it. From my research industry std price is $50-$150 per person Cape Horn is above $200/person and it's more like a small plate per person, the food is nothing special either and they don't want to box anything for you to take with you, you get push back when you ask. I felt it was frozen and heated and dressed. I wondered if it's being reserved or what's going on. At the tasting one thing was presented at the wedding it was a different thing served of lesser quality & very basic. No entre meats were ever given at tasting so you have no idea what's coming day of as a shock. There are no pictures shown of the food before you are served it beware! Hoda said tea/coffee/water and fruit is std with the menu when you pay suddenly it only comes with coffee only (tea is less than $5 for an entire wedding's need and why is self serve water not an option) the fruit didn't look that fresh and presentation was std they could have up the game for a wedding and added a fruit dressing. Food served will not make a full rounds around the table. It's served in small plates less than 4oz per person when according to my research std for catering is 4-8 oz which is about the size of a deck of cards or a woman's palm size. what you get is at best 2 oz. 1/2 the size recommended and quite thin. Plates served for approx 10 are small are really should be for 5 persons. I have noticed the entire summer to fall callendar is clear so that says that some how folks out there know the deal here STAY AWAY! There's a sign to the Kitchen that says "staff only" that tells me there have been probs before and other patrons have been asking what's going on with the food I pd for it's done a disappearing act. While what ever happened I can overlook or ignore shorting the food quantity and things surrounding the menu was totally unacceptable unnecessary as you are paying for a good menu and a very nice profit to Cape Horn no need to serve small plates for a extra high price. There's a mention that if you use Hoda's you get a discount that's a marketing gimick and never seen in any way. *something to bear in mind this is an inconvenience to guest to attend in Stevenson many people have to get 2 nites of hotel etc and live out a suitcase to attn your wedding. My suggestion is any name brand place in town the nines, ritz, Sheraton, marriott etc, Persimmon golf course etc with a name comes a certain surety. Cape Horn is not a functioning kitchen like other places that are 7 days a wk and that adds to issues. Most of all do some research and get yourself a good caterer with a good references. Day of assign someone to keep an eye of what's being done with food and what you'd like for pics your wedding coordinator is my suggestion think it thru a wedding has unexpected surprises as a host. You dont want the highlite of your wedding scammed away from you. My motive for posting here is so you are not scammed you pd big bucks with the intention of having a great time with your guest and a very nice menu that's not happening even tho you pd. You pay approx a month before the event and there is no incentive on the day of for the venue to deliver. Hope you wedding day is a dream and this helps you in some way. This venue is very beautiful and has an amazing view. At first I almost certainly felt like this would be our venue however as we went on our tour we began to notice that the property is not as big as it appears in person and it certainly would not fit the amount of guest we were planning to have. At first we were confused when we had mentioned we would have close to 225 guest, which when we had talked to the owner on the phone they said they had accommodated that number before, they told us that would be very difficult and they had not done that ever before. We were willing to reconsider our list and make it a little more rational for the size of the venue due to how much we loved it at first. Then we met Hoda. She was in the kitchen cooking for a wedding that was about to take place, which we felt very uncomfortable to be touring a venue while another wedding is taking place. I totally understand what it is like trying to work and answer questions, but the way she answered each questions and would not even look at us when we asked her questions made us feel very belittled and almost like our business was not welcomed. The whole experience turned the venue from a 10 to a 1. The thing that sold us on not using this venue is when my mother in law asked if we could use our own catering and she told her "yah if you want to drag your barbecue up here and cook carne asada" she could care less. She then went to tell her that she understand how my fiancé culture is partiers and typically drunks when it comes to weddings. To me it felt like she was a little judgmental toward Hispanics. If this is how she is acting now, I could only imagine how she would be through the rest of the process. She then moved on to tell us that due to our size of the wedding we would be required to have at least 10 security guards to help with the control of the people and three wedding planners as well. I have never heard of a thing like this before. Overall the venue is beautiful but the owner is horrible and offers horrible customer service! I have read other reviews where they have said that working with the owners was the most difficult part of the wedding process. Planning a wedding is already difficult enough, I don't see a reason to add to the stress. read more

Cape Horn Estate is a gorgeous setting for any wedding! We were so excited to have our daughter's wedding there. The owners Hani & Hoda were so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process! Everything was perfect and all our guests raved over how gorgeous and intimate the venue was. It has it all, a beautiful bridal suite, grooms room, indoor/outdoor spaces, full kitchen, indoor bathrooms, bar, stunning landscaping, water features, an abundance of string lights throughout the grounds, plenty of parking, and a view that will take your breath away. This wedding venue is simply gorgeous! The views are breath taking. I witnessed one of best friends get married to the love of her life here. It was a great fun wedding with an even better reception. The bridal suite was spacious and perfect for us gals to get ready in. We loved having a nice spot with AC to stay cool while we anxiously waited for the event to start. The event was breath taking and effortlessly done. If your considering getting married here you should definitely visit for a tour because pictures just don't do it justice. Also just be mindful of the train that comes and goes and know that once the silence is over, we didn't even notice the train that runs by. Also, at first I wasn't thrilled about their only being 2 bathrooms for the whole event including bride and groom but it didn't turn out to be an issue. :) read more

Attended an outdoor wedding in September at CapeHorn Estate, a beautiful location looking across the gorge with dramatic scenes and cloud formations. Limited immediate parking, but more just down the hill. Very pretty arch site, rimmed with spectacular hydrangeas. The garden site used for dining was very full with 160 people and minimal cover if it rains. Worse was the bathroom facilities , started off clean but without seat covers....Plus 2 bathrooms for 160 is insufficient, wedding coordinator is required, surprised they didn't call for more facilities. Over all, lovely venue, just watch the weather and order up some more bathrooms. read more

I will start by giving this venue a 3 mostly because it is a absolutely beautiful location! The original owners that put a lot of love, sweat & tears into this venue did a amazing job! I wish they would have kept it!! With that said.. I am very disappointed in the new owners behavior! My daughter was married there on September 9th 2017 and I was so embarrassed by how they handled themselves during the ceremony. They do set up chairs which is nice...but they are taking the chairs down as your guests are walking away before everyone has left the lawn. They tell you when you decide to use their venue that they have a closet of stuff to use and every time we needed something they would either tell us we did not need it or they would have to unlock the closet so we would have to wait! I had a guest tell me that the owner was yelling at him and digging through the garbage because she thought he threw away a PLASTIC $ STORE serving utensil! Which had she looked in the sink they were there. She was pulling out OUR foil serving trays from the garbage that were from our food vendors and straightening them out to save them.. again in front of my guests! I missed my daughters cake cutting because I had to go deal with them!! I am still so upset about that. When you pay the kind of money you do to use a venue I would think you could at least feel like these owners were invisible..or at the very least friendly and kind! Not bossy & rude. I just want anyone that decides to use this venue have a idea of the kind of owners you will have to deal with! They took some very special moments away from me and their behavior was ridiculous!! There wasn't one person there that did not witness how they acted. If you do choose this venue have very very clear communication with these two! Venue is very pretty but there is no parking. Also, went to tour it after extensive communication with the owner, but when we showed up no one was there. We flew all the way from California to look at this venue and ended up being stood up. No one there and gate locked. No communication about why, and when we tried to call it went straight to voicemail and the mailbox was full. Very disappointed and frustrated with the venue. Only reason it's getting any stars at all is because it is a very pretty view. Poor management and will not be using them, obviously. read more

I was the best man of my cousin's wedding last Month. If I'm planning on getting married, I'll definitely do it at Cape Horn Estates. The place is beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Everything was so neat and made they made sure to follow our requests. They also offer catering with amazing food that is made from scratch, using grass-fed meats, and from local PNW farms! My son and his wife recently got married at Cape Horn Estates and it was a beautiful experience. Hoda and Hani were very helpful, as was their staff. They did the catering and the food was absolutely delicious! The property was gorgeous and the views superb. Parking was easy. The only downside were the mosquitoes, but Off! bug repellent was provided. All in all, a most amazing wedding venue. read more
