The lodge is the perfect place for your visit to Hood River. It is located right on the edge of the Colombian gorge. The view from our room was awesome. It is well kept and spotlessly clean. The old oak trees make you feel like a cabin deep in the forest our room 53 over looked beautifully manicured grounds. The lobby is open 24 seven and serves coffee around the clock as well as other hot drinks. Check in and check out for seamless. Overall an awesome stay at the gorge. My wife and I can highly recommend this lodge for your stay.

We are relocating to Texas to be with the grandchildren and this was a perfect place for our last night in the Northwest, at least for a while. Reflecting the values and beauty of Oregon, the room is a all wood with a live plant. The view of the river, quiet setting, fantastic shower, what more could you ask for? How about enough space to stretch out? A wide selection of games at the desk to choose from, close proximity to places like "Bette's Place" to eat. Highly recommended!

We booked into one of the buildings on the gorge side of the property. Although some of the aspects of the room were a bit "long in the tooth" everything was clean and all the expected amenities were present. The view was gorgeous and the grounds meet and manicured. Although there is plenty of highway noise outside, the room itself was quiet. Considering if you stay closer to town you can get both highway and freight train noise I would opt for this location anytime. Four and a half stars!

I was somewhat nervous when we drove into the lodge. Normally, I stay at Air BNB. I was more than pleasantly surprised when we walked through the lodge grounds and room. It's absolutely stunning. I thought that this would be an amazing place to get married and sure enough, they have events here too. The third floor, corner unit was perfect. Microwave, mini fridge, TV, desk and dining table. Iron and ironing board plus a hair blow dryer. Cozy King bed all though was a bit too soft for my back, but the sleep was really great. We couldn't hear a thing but the white noise of the AC. They did have extra blankets. The hot water for the shower took quite some time to warm up fully, but it worked just fine. The bathroom was spotless and they had more than enough towels. In the little binder, you could read about the motel and property love story, seeing all the upgrades they've done over the years. I love that little touch of history. It makes the place even more special. I would love to return when I'm in Hood River again.

Very solid value, comfortable room, great king bed, cool view. Next door to a resort that costs twice as much. This hotel was built in 2 phases, the original buildings were a 1 story motor hotel circa early 1960s. The lowest room you should book is a partial view, lest you be facing a freeway frontage road with road noise. Later, (visually the 1990s), several 2 story structures were built, some with stunning views. The "classic buildings" are old and a bit worn, and could use some updating. But all rooms are clean and serviceable and a good value. No restaurant, coffee only.

Beautiful property by the Columbia River with amazing views. We got a room with the river view and balcony on the first floor and had an amazing stay. Although furniture is a bit outdated, we loved the vibe and bed was very comfortable. Towels and sheets all appeared pretty new. Very clean property with everything you need in the room including fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Appreciated the daily housekeeping. Property is also very close to grocery stores and plenty food options. Check in and check out were smooth and fast. Recommend and we plan to stay again!

This place exceeded my expectations. From the check in process, to the room condition, to the amenities available even at my base room rate, everything about my stay was splendid. I truly wish that I spent more than one night here. Perhaps it's a sign for me to visit Hood River during apple picking season next year so that I can have an excuse to stay here again. Something that will be clear in my mind going forward- waking up to a view of the backyard garden/gazebo area with the rain gently falling on Hood River in the background.

Amazing! The gardens are worth the stay alone, beautiful! The room was clean and quiet! The entire property was well maintained and very dog friendly! The views are exceptional! The location was great for us and easy, short drive to the main downtown, which allowed us peace and rest when we were back in our room. We loved the place and can't wait to go back!

I was very surprised by and appreciative of the no-charge room upgrade when I checked in (bigger room than what I'd reserved). There are also electric vehicle chargers on-site, if you have the need. Parking is the only real drawback, that being that there are very few parking spaces in the paved lot, so most visitors' vehicles needed to park in the dirt / gravel area behind the hotel. Hood River is such a cute little place to visit and to get away from Portland - and it's so super convenient. We recently ventured out for a birthday getaway - and had a night booked in the large Terrace Room here at the B&B. The house is lovely, and neighborhood kitties were sleeping on the porch (though the innkeepers do not feed them). Bowl of Jelly Belly jelly beans in the dining room. The house is warm, cozy, and quiet. On our bed were two little hedgehogs waiting to say hello (ceramic, fyi). PLENTY of hot water to fill the big tub, and even shower off after. Great DVD selection upstairs so you can snuggle in the super-comfy bed and watch an old favorite (Indiana Jones trilogy? Yes, please!) Breakfast was a delight - the other guests were fun and we all talked about our rooms and the critters on the beds when we arrived. Our breakfast began with juice, coffee, tea - and then we plunged right in to incredibly amazing baked pears with walnuts. YUM. We had fruit, mini quiches - everything was outstanding. The Inn is nicely located on a quiet street - and we very easily walked into town and visited shops and had a nice dinner out. The house dog will give a bark at you, then stand there and get his pets, then go on his way (my dogs could never live at a B&B - they'd crawl into people's bags and eat dirty socks - I digress). I cannot think of a single thing lacking here. I will be back again for sure!

Sakura Ridge provided a very comfortable stay with everything that we needed to unplug and relax. There were many small details that we appreciated- a beautifully designed and very clean room, comfortable bed and sheets, heated floors, snacks and drinks in the common area (hot cocoa, tea, soda, popcorn), and guidebooks, cookbooks, and maps for guests. The breakfasts were delicious and carefully prepared by Deanna. We had fresh lamb sausage, cherry tomato and goat cheese tart, scrambled eggs with chives, and sorrel salad. The second day, we had a cream cheese omelette, ham wrapped asparagus, and fresh blueberry scone. Deanna also made a berry smoothie both mornings. John was very kind and taught my husband how to feed their lambs on the second morning. We met him at 8am and my husband got to feed 3 lambs at one time! I have to say, it was a unique and fun experience. We stayed in the Orchard Room, which was great. It was built as an addition in 2007, so it has a separate entrance and felt very private. The bathroom was well appointed with a marble walk-in shower and soaking tub. We had a private balcony overlooking the chickens and lambs on the farm, and it offered an AMAZING view of Mt. Hood. One of the best things about Sakura Ridge is that it's situated on a farm with animals (lambs and chickens) and fruits (pears, apples, peaches, plums, and berries) and vegetables. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the summer.
