Bonneville Dam and the Colombia River

Went on a little ride down the Colombia to the Bonneville dam and back. The crew very kind and helpful. The views were amazing and the boat was awesome! I preordered a gourmet hot dog and it was good!

Undeniably delightful dinner cruise! The food was delicious, the service spectacular and the captain of the ship navigated his Sternwheeler flawlessly. We participated in this cruise during the Fall and enjoyed it immensely. We will be returning this summer with our grandsons so that they can experience the magic. We're looking forward to partaking the views (more daylight) and a sunset. We highly, highly recommend this experience and this company.

WOW! Super fantastic experience! Very easy to book tickets through your smart phone Easy to find, the boat was vintage beautiful, with plenty of seating on the top two decks for sightseeing. Once the cruise starts, there is a full bar and food (think stadium food like hot dogs and such). There are brunch and dinner cruises available with all the bells & whistles too. The stern wheel is super cool, actually really operational and not just for show. The Captain shares info tidbits along the way (if you want to hear every word you need to be on second deck/inside where bar is). What's also great, you pay for the East or West along the Columbia; you're invited to stay and ride the other way for free! What's not to love?!

Best $76 I've spent on a two person boat cruise. Especially considering this was a spur of the moment decision after my muscles were too sore to see the Columbia River from a hike. The captain had great commentary. There were so many wild birds to be seen. Wind surfers and kayakers were out. And the scenery was stunning. So many colors of blue with beautiful trees and landscapes. And we got to go both east and west for two hours total of cruising time! I'm also normally prone to seasickness - didn't even need my Dramamine for this trip. Pro Tip: Eat at a restaurant in town (2 minutes past the cruise location) Double Pro Tip: Expect to pay $7 in parking at the lot. You can actually pay this in the gift shop rather than having to pay on your phone. Triple Pro Tip: The lower bow is usually empty so you can get there early and stake it out for yourself Quadruple Pro Tip: Book this cruise already!

For sightseeing only: When we went there was no indoor seating available at all, the entire cruise you have to sit outside. It is very windy so bring a hair tie or hat. You can purchase food in the cafe gift shop and bring it aboard to eat, there is basic cafe drinks, sandwiches and chips. You can also buy drinks/cocktails at the bar inside. For a warm summer night this was a ton of fun and a special date night. The views are absolutely gorgeous. You have to pay for parking either inside the gift shop or via a parking app.

One of the lesser views from the ship. I'm telling you, the views are totally worth it.

Incredible experience. The ship is quite old, but it is still beautiful. Seeing the wheel turn in the back is truly incredible. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They truly want you to have the best experience possible. The views are stunning. Never a bad view from the three levels of the ship. The food was also exquisite. Salad was just alright, but the beef tenderloin plate certainly made up for it. Simply delectable. Overall, just an awesome experience that is totally worth the money. Take your partner out for a date, or take the kids too for a fun time. One of the best things to do around

A friend and I decided to take one of the Christmas ships tour cruises. We had such a great time! What a great way to experience the Christmas ships also so that you are not fighting the crowds up at the waterfront etc. It was about $80 per person and includes a three course dinner. We were impressed too that the food was prepared with excellence though we opted to way a little more to get the extra fancy dessert instead of just taking the cheesecake which comes with it. We were able to wander out to the deck between dinner and dessert and get some great photos of all of the ships which were super fun. Such a great and truly Portland experience!

So if you have never really seen the Columbia River Gorge or you have friends or relatives in town that like the outdoors with all its magnificence... this gorge tour is for you. There are several different types of cruises such as brunch, dinner and scenic cruises. We chose the 2 hour scenic cruise. Boarding is in Cascade Locks. The process is you can purchase the tickets online or at the office. You should show up 30 minutes ahead of time because you're going to stand in an extremely long line to board with lots and lots of people. So be ready and patient. Before you can board they will tell you it is mandatory to take your photo prior and you will then be herded to your mandatory photo session. Once you board and get seated you find out the real reason is because they hunt you down and try to sell you your photo. So we felt like they had lied to us about why they took our photo originally. Not cool! The cruise itself was awesome. We went East and back to the dock for the first half of the two hour cruise. Docked, picked up more people and then headed West and back for the second half. There were lots of windsurfers and so on in the river so it was really cool to see them close up. We also got to see a Native American fishing platforms and learned that they are allowed to fish year round. The cost for the 2 hour cruise was $35 each. The boat does need some updating, has no air conditioning and the photo thing is just wrong.

My family and I did the brunch cruise and it was amazing! Well worth it. All you can eat delicious food, attentive and friendly staff (Thanks Jeff), and informative narration. They recognized our special family get together and they also recognized birthdays and anniversaries of passengers which really personalized the experience. A must do for visitors because you can explore the gorge from a vantage point that you don't get from the highway. We saw eagles, windsurfers, sailboats, and the extra long trains that pass through the gorge. Great value.

Like, I jumped in the shower, and it arrived before I was finished! How's that for service?! The dishes arrived hot and fresh, packaged in to-go containers, as is the norm these days, but that did not detract from the experience. The Breakfast Tacos were incredible, perhaps the best I've had, thanks to an awesome salsa topping, a dash of lime juice, and delicious roasted potatoes. I would have trouble ordering anything else for breakfast here, on future visits. My wife's Steelhead Omelet, filled with delicious smoked salmon, cream cheese, and assorted veggies, was also wonderful (I had a few more bites than I probably should have), and more fantastic roasted potatoes on the side. It doesn't look all that fancy, but it's like a Christmas present: who cares about the packaging, when the stuff inside is what counts?! Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the things that we ordered, considering the size of each entree. I've had far worse meals, for far more money, so we were very content with every aspect of our order, and without any added overhead for the "convenience" of having it brought to our room. When it comes to "room service", this is the kind of service you want, every time. Very recommended.

No, they offer the impossible burger and the black-beanburger. OK - they are vegan, sure, but they are not what we like. Now they offer a variety of specialty burgers with catchy names. Like the Pendleton. The description sounded good: "Our 1/3 pound char broiled beef patty, covered in House BBQ sauce, melty cheddar cheese and crispy onion rings, on a toasted bun, served with French fries." The "covered in House BBQ" turned out to be about a table spoon of BBQ inside of one of the onion rings. I had also ordered their clam chowder. Look on line, picture shows what looks like a creamy clam chowder. What showed up could best be described as thin. Think skim milk. Taste was not bad, but dang it all, it used to be legendary clam chowder. We've been going to this restaurant for many, many years. They used to have a salad bar, they used to have great relishes, now, well, we tried the Brigham Fish Market earlier today and will not be going back to Bridgeside. Pity.
