From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The Mt. St. Helens cabin was incredibly cozy, complete with a gas fireplace, jetted tub, soft sheets, cozy robes, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and the cabin was beautifully appointed. The peaceful grounds were perfect for a relaxing stroll, and we loved spending time on the porch swing. One of the highlights was having breakfast delivered to the cabin--homemade and absolutely delicious, it was the perfect way to start the day, especially when enjoyed on the porch. The entire experience was quiet, restful, and full of thoughtful touches. I can't recommend Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins enough. And as a bonus, Backyard Brewing is just across the street and has amazing pizza! read more

Great cabins in a quiet setting despite being near busy road. The whole cabin was exceptionally clean, well equipped with a decent tub, separate shower and a very good bed. I asked for some fresh milk for my tea and in a jiffy it was provided. The newish owners seem to relish dealing with the great unwashed travelling public...something I did in my own hospitality business for 15 years. A credit to them both and also their excellent staff. Our cabin was set slightly away from the others and thus I relaxed naked in the swinging chair whilst supping some local vino and reading in the sunshine. DEEP JOY! read more

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins - to celebrate our ten year anniversary. Wasn't sure what to expect as we drove into Carson for the first time. There was snow on the property which made it look like we were straight out of a movie. The Office was super cute and cozy! Beautiful chess board, tons and tons of DVD's to bring back to your room, fresh baked cookies - and the owner was so hospitable and kind. We stayed in the Mount Saint Helens cabin. It exceeded all of my expectations. Beautiful stone tub and bathroom, all the amenities you'd need, and a warm electric fire place. Porch swing and view of the snow. My wife and I made a road trip up the California, Oregon, and Washington coasts, staying in many wonderful hotels and bed & breakfast establishments along the way. On our way back to Los Angeles, we stoped at the Columbia River Gorge and stayed at Carson Luxury Cabins. What an amazing experience--one of the highlights of our trip! The 9-acre setting was like a beautiful park, with amazing pathways through the trees and meadows and benches placed along the way to sit down and take in the view. The cabins truly were luxury, with all the amenities one would expect from a 5-star hotel. The owners were meticulous hosts, even preparing a delicious vegan and gluten-free breakfast for us and delivering it to our door every morning. I spent or first afternoon with wine on the porch swing. soaking in the views of the property and just listening to the birds. Wow! I am never going home. My wife and I stayed here for a weekend as our jumping off point for some gorge adventures. From the moment we pulled up, we realized this place was something special. Our cabin was charming and very comfortable. The 5 acres of grounds on the property were MAGICAL. There were reading nooks with Adirondack chairs, 2 different fire pits, hammocks, beautiful landscaping. We saw bunnies, many kinds of birds, and young dear frolicking around. I slept better than I had in months. The true gem, however, are the owners Theresa and Richard. They were truly delightful and so kind and welcoming. And amazing cooks (the breakfasts!!!). I don't even know where to begin. Entering the property we felt like we were in our own little world. The attention to the property detail was nothing I had ever seen before except maybe the Wilderness Lodge at Disney World. In saying this, the comparison is to the attention to the detail of the grounds. From the walking paths to the landscaping, to the placement of the cabins and the view from every cabin, priceless. The grounds are simply impeccable! Our Mount Adams cabin was beautiful. No detail was left unturned. There is wine in the room (Honor system), games and popcorn with the movie box container so you could take it to your porch swing or to the fire pits on the property. And how can I forget the oh so luxurious bedsheets. Every morning we sat on the porch drinking our coffee and consuming the most exquisite breakfast (Prepared by Richard and Theresa) that was delivered to our cabin. Our hosts, Richard and Theresa were so so gracious. We started off our trip here and now wish we would have made this the end of our trip. So relaxing and peaceful! The perfect touch to end any vacation. We will be returning to Carson Ridge Luxury cabins for a vacation again soon! Lovely hidden gem. The owners have paid attention to every detail that made our stay so very relaxing. The breakfast was excellent both mornings and more than we could possibly eat. The grounds are lush and offers privacy from the other cabins. Exploring the meadows we found hammocks and seating areas tucked away to offer a quiet place to read, sketch, bird-watch. We stayed here for an anniversary and throughly enjoyed the experience. Richard and Theresa take great pride in providing top-notched service and it's pays off. They cook an amazing breakfast and bring it to you around 9 every morning-- they gave us a great quiche recipe they served and it's save in our recipe book now. The grounds are well kept and fun to walk around. We stayed in the Mount St. Helens cabin and loved it. My boyfriend also secretly got one of the romance packages and was communicating with Richard during one of our outings to have it set up by the time we came back and it was perfect. This is a mixed review. On the positive, the cabins are cute, well decorated, and mostly have quite nice views. There is a very pretty meadow behind the cabins. The grounds have very attractive plantings. The linens are very nice. On the negative, the cabins are seriously overpriced--they simply don't warrant $265/night plus tax. We visited during a hot time, and the air conditioner in our cabin was not adequate to cool it enough to be comfortable for sleeping. When we arrived they did not have the air conditioner on (in almost 100 degree weather), and 6 hours later it was still not cool. The innkeepers seem to run the establishment as a part time business. They make mistakes in handling reservations, and are not always present when you show up (they left a key for us in a mailbox, under another name)-it took us almost an hour to get in touch with them. There are also a lot of little things that are not done right. Only pepsi and sprite in the inn refrigerator--no mineral waters, no diet sodas, no bottled water. No soaps or shampoos within reach of the bathtub. Almost no hooks or rods to hang up towels. Internet that onlyreaches the dining room--too weak to reach the cabins. None of these things would be a big deal if the cabins went for, say, $165. But at $265, one normally expects better. The next night we stayed in Bonneville Hot Springs Resort--about 10 miles away-- for a bit less, and it was much nicer. read more

We just spent the weekend here for our "mini honeymoon." It was nothing short of amazing. We stayed in the Knotty Pine cabin with our dog. The cabin was well appointed, it even had a welcome basket for our dog! The bed was super comfy and the cabin was private. We enjoyed the porch a lot, it was very private feeling and had a swing and a table. The breakfasts each morning were SO good. 3 course breakfast and we were full until almost dinner! The first morning we had yogurt with homemade granola, eggs Benedict (yum!), and lemon brown sugar corn bread. The second morning we had fresh fruit, 3 cheese egg and bacon bake, and peach cobbler. It was all so good. It is a little pricey, but it's worth every penny. The grounds are very well maintained. They were great for walking our dog around. My husband and I stayed in the Fishing Creed cabin in mid October. The cabin was wonderful and cozy. The sheets were so soft and luxurious. My favorite thing to do was exploring around the beautiful grounds, looking for apples, foraging for mushrooms, and admiring the fall colors in all of their glory. Then returning to our cute, warm cabin. The innkeepers, Theresa and Richard, were so friendly and accommodating. There was so much to do around the local area within driving distance. We found so many beautiful waterfalls. We hope to return here someday. read more

Upon arrival everything seemed nice. Pete greeted us but the other owner was mostly invisible during our stay. Generally, the cabins, skyline view and grounds are all lovely. We stayed in Mt Adams, and had a few hiccups during the second night of our stay; such as, dripping water sounds within the walls of our cabin that would not go away and flat mineral water in the fridge (even the bottle they brought to replace it was mostly flat). Breakfast served to the room however was delicious. The morning after all of the incidents in our room when we went to the main office to check out Pete was away in the kitchen and didn't come out to thank us for staying/tell us goodbye which felt weird considering how involved he was throughout our stay prior to that. The other owner didn't seem to have much sympathy for the problems. Overall the place is nice, but we don't plan on returning. read more

We picked this place based on the website of the inn, and we were a little disappointed. The cabins are clustered together, without that much privacy. We stayed in the cabin with the best view, and it truly was a spectacular view. The cabin was overall clean, but the tub could've used some more work. The first thing we noticed was a huge spider crawling out of the jets and rat droppings inside of the tub control unit. That spoiled the romance a little bit. I understand we're out in the wilderness, but when you pay $360ish for a cabin, you don't expect the wilderness to follow you inside. The breakfast was delivered to our door. It was good, but I wouldn't say amazing. It may very well be one of their specialties, but I guess the innkeepers weren't there on those days. We had to leave earlier, but couldn't wait to get home. It might be a great place to stay for a night, but light some candles and make a great breakfast at home...you can have the same romance for A LOT less money! read more

They might be a little bit more expensive then the small ones but they are REALLY worth it! The hosts were also amazing and they gave us the feeling like home. This is a wonderful place to spend time with someone special. We stayed in the mt. Hood cabin for 2 nights. Pictures of our cabin on the website were representative of the interior. The cabins are actually a bed&breakfast, and the cook is very accomodating of dietary restrictions. My wife is gluten-intolerant and the homemade gluten-free dishes were nearly indistinguishable from my glutenified ones (that's no mean feat either!). There is wifi in the lodge, but it doesn't reach the cabins very well. So if you want wifi in your cabin you'll have to figure out something with a phone tether (verizon 3g signal was excellent in Carson proper) or rig up an amplified wifi antenna. read more

The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. They arranged our last minute in-room couples massage with Melissa and Heather. The massages were fantastic and relaxing! Morning breakfast was well thought out and delicious. The backwoods brewery was across the street and perfect for a beer and tasty pizza! We can't say enough good things about our stay. If you are wanting to get away and relax, this is a great place for just that! We spent a night here over the weekend in the Mount St Helen's cabin and it was SO nice I didn't want to leave! The owner is super nice and communicates with you and will do everything to ensure you have what you want/need for your stay. The cabin was clean and relaxing and just what we needed to escape for a bit. The jetted tub was great, a little tricky to work at first, but without a doubt a nice amenity. The whole ambiance is great and woodsy feeling, even down to the wooded trim with bark and all. We went to Backwoods Brewery for dinner, which is just across the street. This was an awesome cabin and a very nice getaway. The only problems we had were ALL of the DOG hair that was every freakin where. A few roaches that were almost dead so atleast they knew they had a problem and sprayed but at least come back to clean up the dead ones after you spray and before the renters arrive. Please hire a new cleaning crew because the one you have is NOT cleaning. We had a few people that had dog allergies and we could not figure out what was wrong until we seen all of the hair on the couch pillows and all on the wooden floors. The write up says that there was ample wood for all 3 fire places but the room downstairs had 1 log and the fire place upstairs had 2 logs 1 of which was half burned already. 2 car garage nobody parked in because things were in the garage. It is a peaceful area for a nice adult getaway. read more

Lovely little cottages run by the nicest couple. So accommodating. And they throw a heck of an elopement! They handled almost everything for us, and it was such a beautiful day. Wonderful officiant, beautiful flowers, and the most delicious little cake. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful spot than their gardens. A perfect day. I just had a surreal and sincerely disturbing experience at Carson Ridge Cabins. I live in the Carson area and was out for a walk with my girlfriend and passing by this location. It was a Friday morning around 11am. I have reviewed their website in the past and was curious to just see the property in person. I often have guests from out of the area visiting and thought Carson Ridge Cabins could be a great option to recommend for lodging. There is an open driveway entering the property and I simply walked on it, being considerate to stay on the path in order to check out the facilities. To my complete and utter surprise, we were immediately accosted by a staff person and run off the property as if we were criminals caught trespassing. When I tried to explain I was a potential customer and wanted to just take a quick look at the property, he aggressively asked me how I would like it if people walked in my backyard without my permission. Huh? "Isn't this a place of business hoping to attract customers?" Well, I've now discovered the "staff" person was actually the owner, Richard Albert. Richard, I don't know what type of business experience or customer service training you have but I might suggest you take a class or read a book. You're right, I would be alarmed if strangers showed up in my backyard, however, I'm not publicly advertising to rent my home for overnight stays. Needless to say, I won't be recommending your business to anyone. Furthermore, I'll likely tell this story many times over to friends and patrons at Backwoods Brewing, Skamania Lodge, Carson Hot Springs and anyone else that ever might inquire about a stay at your luxury cabins. read more

Stayed in Mt. Adams cabin with my wife for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it! The bed was nice and comfy, breakfast was amazing, and the jacuzzi was big enough for the both of us and just long enough for my 6'4" frame. There's plenty of places to eat nearby and activities outside the cabin. The owners are very genuine and helped us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. We had an incredible experience! We are a young couple who stayed here for three nights in the Bears Den cabin. The room was so clean and luxurious. The jacuzzi with the water jets were a great way to relax after an adventure packed day. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we spent many hours strolling the gardens and trails surrounding the place. We even got to pick fresh blackberries! Breakfast was delicious! It was delivered to our door in a picnic basket which we took up to some picnic tables to eat while viewing the mountains of the Columbia River Gorge. Magnificent! There are so many fun things to do in the area and coming back to our luxury cabin to relax was the icing on the cake. We spent our nights bundled in the comfy robes they gave us and reading on the swinging porch outside. I am recommending this place to all my friends and family and will definitely return! My boyfriend and I stayed here earlier this week. And I'm sitting at home wishing we were back in the Elk Cove Cabin, taking a hot bath or relaxing on the porch. We thoughly enjoyed our stay. The attention to detail is remarkable, the breakfast was delicious and the grounds were immaculate. Oh and the bed... was so comfortable! We were surrounded by quiet, which can be so very difficult to find these days and we loved every second of it. We even enjoyed an afternoon lounging in the hidden hammocks. The location was easy to find per the directions we were given via email along with our reservation confirmation. And the surrounding area to the property is picturesque. Me and my wife had such a good stay there at the Carson Ridge cabins I thought I would write a nice review for the company. Staci who helps run the business was such a help and was so nice to us during our stay. I read some reviews about the prices being too high, but I have stayed at many hotels and lodges and their prices are pretty good for what you recieve. For example in the morning they deliver fresh fruit and breakfast for you which I have no idea where you would get that kind of service unless you ordered room service which would be very expensive. I noticed that Saci was alway baking cookies for the guests, who else does that? The other cool thing about this place it that you are alone in your cabin and you feel you are secluded from the other guests which make it unlike staying at a hotel or lodge. Sometimes when you stay at a lodge or hotel you hear your neighbors and noises from the hallways or even worse you feel like cattle at a Las Vegas casino standing in buffet lines or something. Here you feel like you are treated like an honored guest and put up in your own cabin, so I don't feel that the price is an issue for what you get. If you are looking to save money on a room then just get a cookie cutter hotel room and listen to your neighbors conversations and all of the other fun stuff that comes with a regular hotel visit. But like I said I had a great visit and I thought I would share my experience. I also got a massage there which was nice to have someone come to your room and perform a couples massage. One other thing I would like to mention is the fact that there is brewery righ accross the street that is pretty small but has good pizza and beer and there are plenty of places to visit in the area. We ended up going to a couple of other breweries that were in Hood River and sight seeing. Well keep up the good work and see you sometime in the future when we want to get away from the city. I wrote the above items to let other Yelp users know that when you stay here you are kind of secluded from other people and if you are trying to get away this would be perfect place and since you are secluded. But as an example of how secluded they are: I was originally going to go with just my wife but found out that the person who was going to watch my German Shephard wasn't going to be able to do that. So at the last minute I had to ask them if they had cabins to accomidate dogs and luckily they did have two cabins that allowed you to have dogs there. You usually can't bring full sized dogs to too many hotels or lodges so I was thankful they allowed my dog to stay in one of the cabins that allowed dogs, otherwise we would have had to postpone the trip or put our dog in a kennel somewhere which we didn't want to do. Wow, one of the very best. My mom offered to fly out from the east coast to watch our 2&4 year olds so that we could take a getaway weekend. We were looking for something romantic and lovely, with a scenic roadtrip from Seattle, and things to do in the area. Originally looking in the San Juans, but found this on a list of "romantic b&bs in WA" and it was perfect. We stayed in Mt Adams, and if possible it was even nicer than the pictures on the website. (They built the cabins, and the attention to detail in the construction is beautiful. We were so impressed. They've also done a lot of landscaping work since the pictures were taken -- it's a little bit less meadowy, but private and beautiful) Romantic to all-get-out. Wedding, honeymoon, getaway, this is it. We hiked Wind Hill Sat AM, went wine tasting with Scott at Uncorked NW in the afternoon (he picked us up, took us to three wineries, dropped us at dinner in Hood River, and then drove us home afterward). Awesome tour, we had the best time. Regarding other reviews: - there's definitely Wi-Fi in Mt Adams (according to our computers and phones), but we couldn't find the password written down anywhere. Luckily my husband has some magic connection in his Windows Phone (he says: "tethering" or internet sharing) so we didn't have to put on clothes and go ask, or even look if there was a phone in the room to call the owners. At least while we were searching we came across their "green" list -- they are awesome at all the sustainability options. :-) Super cool. -Breakfast was delicious, and filling. A savory egg-based option, a sweet option (bread-pudding riff one day, amazing coconut poppy-seed muffins the next), a yogurt parfait to split (two smaller perfaits would have been less awkward, but all good.). - I was worried what we'd do for dinner. She showed us our cabin and it looked fantastic, the Salmon Berry Cabin. I would definitely come back to have a quiet retreat.
