Although sometimes, they do not seem to have any etiquette when pulling up to the beaches on the island. The take the whole beach, so no one else can access the shoreline. It is a heck of a lot easier to move a Kayak than to manoeuvre a boat. I have personally seen this on numerous occassions. If East Coast Outfitters is reading this, please remember, some people lived here long before you started your business here. Please respect this, so everyone can enjoy the great outdoors, share the beach line, don't hog!

BEWARE WITH BOOKING WITH THIS COMPANY: Kayak Halifax cancelled a kayaking tour for 9 people the…read morenight before the scheduled tour due to wind speeds, which was fine and understandable; however they did not comment on how they would be issuing a refund. I followed up with them via email and called them several times without any response. I had to finally resort to saying I would be reporting them to the better business bureau and my banking institution prior to getting a response re: the refund. They said it would take 10-15 days. Today is the 15th day and there is still no refund. I emailed again and they said the refund will take up to 45 days - THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I spoke with PayPal and they said NO refund process has been initiated. I will be reporting them in order to recover the refund. This is a time consuming process which should not be this delayed/elongated and I am out hundreds of dollars until the refund is processed (which who knows when that will be). I would honestly suggest not booking with them in the first place.

No whales, but you can't plan on wild animals. Beautiful scenery on the way in and out, so bring the camera along. There are a lot of people on that boat, so get comfortable. Kids will either fall asleep or feel sea sick, so recommend they close their eyes to sleep.
