Our guide, Geordie, loves history and was a wealth of knowledge told in a very entertaining manner. The weather was a little brisk and blankets were provided. The boat is quite the picture of ingenuity - the benches were church pews in their previous life. They were incredibly helpful in assisting us getting on and off the boat as my husband has a mobility issue. Highly recommend this one hour tour.

We totally lucked out with perfect weather and were treated to a stunning sunset over the beautiful Halifax Harbour--seriously postcard-worthy. The cheese spread was top-tier, and the wine tasting included four pours--we especially loved the first white they served, and to my surprise, even the Nova Scotia red wine (and I'm usually not a red guy!) was super tasty--juicy, almost like a black currant vibe. We were welcome aboard by a crew of young folks excited to be there, which I found impressive.. seeing as it was the dead of summer and I am sure the boat was running all day already. We were given a quick run through of the safety procedures and away we went. The tour aspect of the boat was kind of strange. The age group that was on the boat was more excited to just be on the water and the coloring pages provided. It's a cool experience whether you're a first-time visitor or a local looking to see the city from a new perspective. Our tour guide, Adina, was fantastic--full of energy, super knowledgeable, and made the whole ride engaging and fun. Big shoutout to Captain Geoff as well for the smooth and safe ride! It was so windy and rough that you could not hear anything they said nor could you see out of the glass due to the water splashing up on the boats windows. Although sometimes, they do not seem to have any etiquette when pulling up to the beaches on the island. The take the whole beach, so no one else can access the shoreline. It is a heck of a lot easier to move a Kayak than to manoeuvre a boat. I have personally seen this on numerous occassions. If East Coast Outfitters is reading this, please remember, some people lived here long before you started your business here. Please respect this, so everyone can enjoy the great outdoors, share the beach line, don't hog!
