Our guide, Geordie, loves history and was a wealth of knowledge told in a very entertaining manner. The weather was a little brisk and blankets were provided. The boat is quite the picture of ingenuity - the benches were church pews in their previous life. We totally lucked out with perfect weather and were treated to a stunning sunset over the beautiful Halifax Harbour--seriously postcard-worthy. The age group that was on the boat was more excited to just be on the water and the coloring pages provided. We asked to go somewhere local to eat instead of Peggy's Cove where all of the buses were...Shaw's Landing had great food and hospitality. Even though we were a few minutes late getting off ship, Al still managed to get us to the Citadel in time for the changing of the guards and the cannon firing. Easy to find him when we got off the cruise ship with a big pink sign (I felt like a celebrity)! There were four of us and we had a can which made it easy to get in and out.
