My son and I were in town in for a viewing of a rocket launch in mid august 2024. We had an extra…read moreday in town so we booked a 5 hour offshore fishing trip with Canaveral Kings. Captain Jake was very professional and navigated the rough waters from hurricane Ernesto which was well off in the distance but the waters near Canaveral were still pretty choppy. A good suggestion would be to take the 7 hour tour because 5hours isnt enough fishing time since we went 20miles out to the shipwrecks to fish. It chewed up almost 2 hours of driving the boat. Also the fact that the captain only had 1 box of frozen fish bait was a disappointment considering we paid $700 dollars and i gotta believe those boxes of bait are probably maybe 10 bucks . Also the captain who was a very nice guy pretty much was doing all the fishing and would hand us the pole once he hooked a fish..he knew by our conversation that both my son and i are pretty experiences fisherman. All in all it was nice trip just wish we had had more time out there..

It was just as good as the first one. The chow was slightly better than the last trip, but this day trip was more expensive. I HAD A GOOD TIME. So here is what it costs: 1 Adult: $118 (Full Day trip from 8AM to 5PM) And here is what you get: Breakfast & Lunch Unlimited Soda Use of a standard Rod & Reel with Tackle Fishing License for the day Free Parking Dead Sardine and Squid Bait provided This boat is smaller than my last trip, so there is a lot more rocking! I did not see many fish caught. It seemed that everyone fed a lot of bait to the fish. The fish are very adept at nibbling and stealing the bait without taking the hook. I did get one good strike and played it for about 20 seconds, but the line snapped and whatever it was took the bait and the hook. I could complain that I did not catch a fish to take home and eat, but I will not. This is called "fishing", not "catching". It is not a sure thing to bring home anything. Big fish don't get big by being stupid! I simply enjoyed my time at sea VERY MUCH. The CREW was EXEMPLARY. VERY PATIENT and EXPERIENCED. They are masters at untangling crossed fishing lines. They also provided valuable information on how to properly handle and secure your hook, as well as how to properly bait the hook. The GALLEY CHEF provided SIMPLE FOOD that was TASTY and SATISFYING. Be sure to tip them well. I also met many nice people on the boat from all walks of life and enjoyed talking to them!

He was very detailed with the breakdown of the costs and was very willing to help. He explained their buying process and there was zero pressure to buy. Once I decided to make the purchase they set up a sea test for me with Glen who was awesome and very helpful. I made the final purchase with him at the lake and I didn't have the correct size ball on my hitch so he took me to a local marina so I could pick one up. I was also lacking the correct plug which he provided. Awesome customer service! I did identify a few issues with the boat they obviously didn't look at on their "inspection" prior to delivery. First one major safety problem was the boats bow U-bolt was actually broken on one side. Only held on by one side. And since the boat is only held on to the trailer by that one point that isn't good. Second, I found the forward macerater pump lines disconnected and laying in the forward well. After troubleshooting reconnecting the water lines I found the pump was not being powered and the switch on the console was bad and had to be replaced. Third, once home both engine trim motors were leaking to the point of dripping on the ground and when in the water would cause a slick. I had to reseal both units. Finally it's a small but the live well lights didn't work, I found the switch was bad on that as well. I'm a mechanic so these items just cost me money for parts but it would have cost another customer plenty of money in troubleshoot hours as well and service fees. I would hope some of these things would be caught prior to consignment of a boat. There team at BoatMax were great to deal with. I would buy from them again. If it was a used boat I'd want to take a much better look at it prior to making the final purchase.

I always wanted to stay on a boat (smaller than a ship), a bucket list item. They come up on searches and many look suspiciously dirty. The the Shangrila came up on my search and I said why not. It was the cheapest and surely not the most expensive. But, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and the cleanliness. It was ready for everything fully stocked in the kitchen including a dishwasher. Kudos whoever choose the bedding. What a great nights sleep!! What kind of pillows are on the bed!!!! (Forgot to look). Convenient restaurant with amazing key lime pie! Only feedback is there was a problem with our third party booking site getting the information to us the check-in, as there is no one there. Easy call to the staff taken care of in less than 5 minutes. Remove dead plants, also, people sailing through don't always follow "no wake" rules!! Only in the day did we experience that and not that often. This is a new favorite thing to do!!! We plan on returning!

Buyer beware! I had a five night stay booked at this property in one of the townhomes. When I…read morearrived, I immediately realized that the home was not as clean as it should have been. The furniture was grossly stained, the bed in the master bedroom was so rickety that even a small amount of pressure caused the whole thing to sway, Lightbulbs were blinking in the master bathroom, and dead bugs were on the floor. I immediately called their guest services number and spoke with a gentleman who was actually quite helpful and compassionate about the situation. I sent them the same photos. I have posted below, and they agreed that the property should not have been in that condition. They offered to show me a Condo which was smaller as an alternative. When we toured it prior to deciding if we would stay or not, we saw the same issues with gross stains on the furniture, and gooey smudges on the wall. We refuse to accept that as an alternative, as it was not at all an improvement. Their final attempt at providing a solution was at a newer property, which was nice in terms of its condition, but it was farther away from where we needed to stay making the drive inconvenient for us. It was also a two bedroom apartment when we had five people and two dogs on our booking. Because I booked through hotels.com, the property refused to work with me directly on the issues and told me it had to go through the booking agent. I requested a refund through hotels.com on Sunday, and it was not until Thursday that the property even bothered to reply and offered a 25% refund for a trip that I never even took. Their customer service agents are like gatekeepers and refused to allow you to speak to upper management. They only divert you back to hotels.com, which I understand from a policy perspective, but from a customer service perspective, it leaves much to be desired. I believe that because they offered me options, none of which were good ones, they believe they did not need to provide me with a refund. Just know that if you choose to book here, that if something goes wrong, you will likely not be compensated. We did not stay a single night and left within hours of checking in. They still believe a refund was not needed. Find anywhere else to stay but here.

I called a few mobile motor repair services but they didn't want to touch my motor. I found out Evinrude had gone out of business, and it was hard to get parts. Thank goodness I had found Marine One services on line. As soon as I called Michelle picked up the phone, and we spoke, she gave me some hope. They were at least willing to come out and look at my motor. When Chris arrived, he did share some more bad news, I needed a new Stator, and Flywheel. He let Michelle know, and she went in search of......A few days later I got the good news I was hoping for. She found the parts. Chris came out, installed the parts in less than 1 hour, and my motor was as good as new. I can't thank Chris and Michelle enough for their honesty, experience, and integrity they put into running their business. THANK YOU!
