I bought my Used 27' Polar 2700 from them. The pictures online were accurate and Mike in sales was…read morevery helpful. He was very detailed with the breakdown of the costs and was very willing to help. He explained their buying process and there was zero pressure to buy. Once I decided to make the purchase they set up a sea test for me with Glen who was awesome and very helpful. I made the final purchase with him at the lake and I didn't have the correct size ball on my hitch so he took me to a local marina so I could pick one up. I was also lacking the correct plug which he provided. Awesome customer service! I did identify a few issues with the boat they obviously didn't look at on their "inspection" prior to delivery. First one major safety problem was the boats bow U-bolt was actually broken on one side. Only held on by one side. And since the boat is only held on to the trailer by that one point that isn't good. Second, I found the forward macerater pump lines disconnected and laying in the forward well. After troubleshooting reconnecting the water lines I found the pump was not being powered and the switch on the console was bad and had to be replaced. Third, once home both engine trim motors were leaking to the point of dripping on the ground and when in the water would cause a slick. I had to reseal both units. Finally it's a small but the live well lights didn't work, I found the switch was bad on that as well. I'm a mechanic so these items just cost me money for parts but it would have cost another customer plenty of money in troubleshoot hours as well and service fees. I would hope some of these things would be caught prior to consignment of a boat. There team at BoatMax were great to deal with. I would buy from them again. If it was a used boat I'd want to take a much better look at it prior to making the final purchase.

From the beginning, the relationship with this dealer was a fiasco. First, he only sent us a copy…read moreof the contract after we began researching his replacement. The date the contract was signed was added AFTER I signed it. He added a few weeks to the contract. It's hard to think why; in almost six months, he's brought only ONE person to see this boat, a boat many knowledgeable people have said is under-priced and should have sold immediately. When I asked another broker to review the ad, I discovered one reason why: This broker does not want to work with other brokers, meaning other boat agents will not bring their interested buyers to see any boats this guy is selling because he doesn't want to share his commission. When I asked why, he said they can call him. Why would they do that, when his ad states he won't work with them; he also said, "You shouldn't know this. Only licensed brokers are supposed to know this." Obviously, he wanted this hidden from his boat owners - his customers. His photographs were appalling, especially the internal pix, which took him three weeks to take after he shot the externals. The video of the boat, long-promised, has still never happened. And, despite the boat being on the market during the height of the season and me dropping the price, I had only one prospective buyer appear. Another voiced interest; this broker was not aggressive in following up. His only advice: Keep dropping the price. My advice: No, I'll drop this broker as soon as I reach his phony contract date, highly recommend to my many friends in Port Canaveral that they avoid this broker at all costs, and look forward to signing a new contract ASAP with a company that treats my business as important and valuable.
