Ah the world famous "Watch the tramcar please" horn. Wildwood is the only boardwalk with a tramcar…read morethat brings you up and down the boardwalk. It has been around since the beginning more or less. They have received a few updates over the years. I believe that 2 of them are still the original cars and cabs. The employees aren't the most friendly, or have the best memory sometimes. I cannot tell you how many times they tried to charge me multiple times for a single trip! I do now know of a way they could fix it other than a sensor that they have to manually turn off when someone sits down? The fare is $3.50 one way. Its a little pricey for such a short ride. I know the prices wont come down sadly. They do offer some discounts! Bulk ticket books at a decent discount, but still the cheapest is $2.50 one way. from opening till 5, they offer a wristband for $7. They could probably offer an all day one for $10 and still make plenty of money! They don't advertise the wristbands much so you have to know about it or go to one of their store fronts on either end... All in all, a lot of fun to be on! And pretty comfortable also.

I agree with the person who says it is dirty and smells very bad of mildew. And I don't get the no pictures rule. The reason I don't understand is I had known Randy for years and, and we were in there and he thought I was taking a picture when I was texting my pet sitter. He came up to me telling me to stop and he acted like he didn't believe me. Anyway, later I saw a Facebook post someone put on there about taking pictures. I added to that asked him why he didn't allow it because people adding photos of the old machines to their reviews could get him more business, and next thing you know I was blocked. You don't need to go somewhere for fun and be followed around by spies and getting an asthma attack from the mold. Save your money.

When we were planning a visit to my home state, New Jersey, we wanted to go to Wildwood to play Fascination. It is two hours from where we were staying, but we had never been there. So, we looked up the hours, planned our trip, and got there when it was supposed to be open - after 4pm on a Thursday. The place was closed. We lost a whole day of our vacation trying to get to this place, and from what we could see looking in from the outside, the arcade looks more like a storage unit. A total and complete mess. After this unfortunate, eye opening experience, I honestly don't have many kind words for the people who own and run this place. The nicest thing I can say is, they've got a lot of work to do.

It's pretty worn down inside, though they do have a few newer machines, and the old ones still manage to work. There are no video games to be played here -- just slots, video poker, skee-ball, claw machines, and other games that give you tickets for prizes. There are a few machines that specifically cater to little kids, which is nice. Three stars is quite a stretch, but the attendants are always friendly and allow my kids to stretch their tickets and tokens to get a prize of higher value, so I'll return the favor. :)
