A fun spot to spend some time with your kids. The do provide tiny clubs for toddlers. There's a wide range of regular clubs in different sizes to cover all ages. The golf course is not that difficult, but its surrounded by some fun props like caves, prisoners, waterfall, pirate ship and more. The course starts at lower level, and gradually moves upward toward second level where holes 11-18 are. The course takes about half to complete, which is really good for a mini golf course IMO. read more

Of the three mini golf places on 7 Mile Island this is far and away the best. It's probably even the best mini golf course I've ever played anywhere. 18 holes that are creatively designed with lots of cool obstacles. Obviously a pirate theme throughout. No summer is complete without a stop at Pirate Island! Tip: the free game thing is lame since you just drop the ball with your hand instead of putting it, but I've seen the far left hole win before. This place is head and shoulders above Miniature Golf Club 18 in Stone Harbor so if you're considering playing either, Pirate Island should be the clear favorite. The synthetic grass mats are clean and flat, the course has some cool shaded holes, multiple water features, and each hole is a bit different than the last. The only reason I had to ding them a star was because 4 or 5 of the holes had bricks missing from the edging that's supposed to keep your ball on the course. Seems like a fairly easy fix that they are somehow neglecting to do. Regardless, I'll be back again next Summer. read more

Is it crowded at times? Yes. Can you go there and feel like you are standing on top of people? I can easily see that. Is it one price no matter what? Yes. Is it cool for kids? Yes. I played mini golf here a lot when I was a kid, but haven't revisited it in many years. After a long hiatus, I am happy to say that as an adult, this is still the best place to play mini golf if you're in the Avalon area. The course is really interesting with challenging obstacles throughout the course. Even if you're not very good at mini golf (like myself), you'll have a blast here if you're with a group. I was there with my sister and husband over July 4th weekend and it was decently busy when we arrived; we were able to play right away, but had to wait between holes since there were some larger groups ahead of us. This was to be expected and gave us time to socialize between holes. When lightning started lighting up the sky around our 11th hole, staff members started telling guests that they could get a rain check if they wanted. We decided to get ahead of the rain that eventually did happen and got our rain checks to cash in the next time we're in town (they don't have expiration dates, which is nice!). I really appreciated this! The only reason why I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is quite costly - about $12 per person once you add tax (and I don't think they have kid prices). Since we did get the rain checks, that does make the cost a little better. read more

Came here to mini golf with my husband. I always loved these type of mini golf places when I was a kid and honestly I still do. This is a fun course, it is set up like pirate ship and has waterfalls and other nautical themed things. None of the holes are too challenging, which I don't mind. When we went on a Friday night it wasn't very crowded so we didn't have to wait at all really to go to the next hole. Pricing is normal, around $20 for two people. The man working at the front desk was very friendly. We won the free game at the last hole, so i'm sure we will be back this summer. They also take cards here which is nice. read more

We hit up Pirate Island for some fun while at the shore. The course is cute. They do make a lot out of a relatively small space, but the holes are pretty pedestrian and semi boring compared to some other mini golf courses I've had the pleasure of playing. This might be the best miniature golf course I have ever played. My boyfriend and I decided to kill some time in Avalon so we chose this place. I'm very pleased that we did. The course is really whimsical and well-designed. The obstacles are tricky but not annoyingly so. You definitely experience the nautical theme throughout--plenty of waterfalls and pirates! This course is definitely more expensive than a few of the other ones in the area but it was definitely worth it. Plus, I won a free game on the last hole! A great place to come with family or friends. Kid friendly for all ages and a reasonably challenging course. It can be kind of busy but it gives you time to catch up with your crew in between holes. Open from 9 am to 12:30 am so you can go and have fun anytime of the day. read more

We were told there would be a 15 min. wait. We saw one other family waiting and decided to wait. My husband paid...was almost $70. for 5 people...including a child. After 5 min. of waiting, a group of about 15 walked up. The woman at the desk was very excited to see them! They told her how many people they had and off they went. No wait for them! We asked for a refund and she said she would give us a rain check, which we took. As we were leaving we got a better look at the course. There was no social distancing. People were practically on top of each other...and without masks. Not excited to go back!! Would much rather go to to Island golf in Wildwood. It's a great course, clean, and owner knows how to run a business! read more

No trip to the shore is complete without a round of minigolf but this place did NOT tickle my pickle. As an avid yelper, I read several reviews about how this was the greatest place anyone's ever been...well they must have just gotten out of prison when they wrote that because this place doesn't even crack my top 10 mini golf places. First off we went at 10 pm on a weeknight and waited in line for over a half hour to start. Once we got on the course, I waited with bated breath around each turn to see what kind of obstacles i was going to encounter....but there were none. NO WINDMILLS, NO CLOWNS, NO BEARS, NO PIRATES EVEN!!! I mean this is friggin pirates cove!! Give me a treasure chest to hit through, mark the ground with an X! Give me a cannon at least?!?!?! I arrived at this golf course at 1055 PM and was told that I was teeing off too late when the sign out front clearly mandates 11 PM as the final tee time. The worker there was very anal about the groupings when it really wasn't a big deal. She clearly wanted to get out of there as early as possible and, in turn, she pushed us out of there. We ended up getting kicked off the course for improper groupings despite the fact that we were being very respectful and moving through the course at a quick speed. This used to be one of my favourite mini golf courses as a child, but after my experience tonight, it is, by far, the worst I have ever been to. read more

Great holes. Great place. But damn can you fix the cups ? I was up 1 on my wife in the 16th and I putted in for a 2 and it bounces right back out. I said its in. Wife called rules on me and says it is a stroke. BS!! We are not talking now. Ball shouldn't bounce out. I would have won here !! Google info said that hours ran until 11:30pm. My friend and I arrived at 9:40pm and were told that they close at 10:00...and...wait for it...they pulled the drawer from the cash register 30 minutes before close. Not sure if it's still 1988 and cash registers play a pivotal role in sales (credit cards, anyone?), but my friend and I could have easily gotten in and out in 15 minutes and provided additional revenue at no extra cost to the establishment. This place will never see my business again. read more
